I went to a small private party in the outdoor bar area. Great space for a gathering! Food was wonderful and what a variety! The bartenders were great and friendly. Wait staff was terrific. In my 12 years living in Walpole, this is the worst dining experience at any restaurant in the surrounding area. We went to the outdoor dining area last night. Sadly the service was terrible. We waited 20 minutes for a server to first come to our table and that was the last time we saw her. We waited 1hr 50 minutes for our pizza. While we waited, frustration from customers at other tables was boiling over. Customers from table to table began to loudly complain to each other and compare their poor experience. It seemed as if there was no management on duty at all. There was no process for the employees to follow. There was multiple 15 minute periods where there was no bartender or server outside. Customers wanted to leave without food but they couldn't get anyone to help pay their bill. When we finally got our food it was cold. Luckily my kids like cold pizza. My wife and I left our pizza there. To top it all off the bartender, who was trying unsuccessfully to help everyone, had his mask down below his chin the entire time. I hope management figure this out, because as a resident of Walpole, we want this business to succeed. read more

After waiting for one hour and 45 minutes for delivery we got a chicken parm sub with NO sauce (super dry) , a Buffalo chicken sub with no blue cheese (which I specifically asked for) and we were even more hungry than when we ordered! The french fries were cold and soggy. Ridiculous!! We called 80 minutes after we ordered and they said it already left. It took another 25 minutes to get to us...and we are 5 miles away. Great bar pizza - nice crispy crust. They also have an amazing bakery selection that you would never appreciate unless you walked in. Great variety! My absolute favorite thing here are steamer clams which they only have occasionally on special. They're sooooo sweet and delicious. Wish they would keep them on the regular menu. Have been here multiple times since opening and every time has been just as disappointing as the last. We understand they are new so we figured we would give them multiple shots. Pizza has been beyond burnt every time. It almost looks like it just sat under a heater for an hour after it came out of the oven. Comparing this to town spa is an insult to town spa. This pizza has a long way to go to be on that level. As for the other food we have ordered we have never received the correct order. Something either was always missing or completely wrong. once we showed up and they couldn't find my order so they had to make it on the spot which took an extra 30 minutes. If you tell someone 30 minutes for pick up and have to wait an additional 30 minutes once you get there, they should at least apologize, nothing.. This place has a lot of work to do. read more

Quoted 60 to 90 min for take out when we ordered. I was told when I got there at 60 min it would be 30 more min. Currently at 2 hours...still waiting. When I asked what's taking so long they said "oh yeah....those times aren't accurate. Your pizzas are in the oven now." First and last time here. No matter how good the pizza is. Sorry. Not only did the owner go out of his way to correct an issue with my order that I was at fault for, he personally delivered my order to my place of work as I was on lunch and in a time crunch. Not worth it!!! That simple... They have had plenty of time to "work out the kinks." That's what everyone is asking for it seems... 3 weeks ago - delivery order hasn't shown up after being told it would be 45-60 minutes, we called, they said "we are short on delivery drivers, it may be a while. But we can come pick it up..." WE drove down there... ICE COLD pizza! NO apologies... No call from management! Back in October, showed up to pick up order, had to wait 20 minutes, why take orders over the phone if you can't manage it? Back in September, I call in to order, the girl says hold please, puts the phone on the counter, I listen to her take three other orders, finally takes my order, again delivery was 30 minutes late.... NO apologies... I see a pattern here. Too bad because they have some good stuff. Poor management skills! They seem very eager to take my money. Yet, they obviously care very little about customers. I placed my order as I usually do online and went to pick it up. Upon arrival the restaurant was slammed and they couldn't find my order, the front manager apologized and asked me to order in the store and she would expedite it. About 10 minutes later they realized that they had my original order after all, promptly issued me the appropriate credit not to mention an extra pizza for my patience. I believe the front manager was Hannah and I wanted to especially thank her for going the extra mile to recognize the error, paying attention to details and making it right! read more

Good pizza, but was disappointed to find out they use MSG (monosodium glutamate) in their sauce, which a family member is very allergic to. Otherwise the crust was cooked well done and tasted good. read more

High marks for this place!! Fabulous pizza and extensive menu. We placed an order to be delivered and it came 10 minutes earlier than the time quoted. We probably won't be a "dine in" type of customer, so delivery is convenient. They also have an extensive selection of sweets from Montilios. Unique idea. As avid Friday night takeout orderers, we were really excited to try a new place. Unfortunately, the experience was overall fairly underwhelming. As others have said, the organization and logistics leave something to be desired, but I didn't deduct any stars because I know it's a new place that probably needs time to work itself out. Instead, my review is entirely based on the food. The good: -Each pizza is a good size for one adult. The crust was great and we were generally happy with the quality. All else equal, would probably order again. -The onion rings were some of the best my husband has had in a while, and homeboy LOVES onion rings. They were cold when we got them, but I'm chalking that up to a logistical misfire and would try them again. -The boneless wings were good. Nothing to write to mom about, but definitely solid. The bad: -As someone else said, the kids mac and cheese is literally Kraft. Kraft isn't bad, but I can make it at home for cheaper. I wish they'd mentioned it was Kraft on the menu, because we wouldn't have ordered it. -The house-roasted turkey sandwich was a real loser. The sandwich was literally just turkey and bread--no lettuce, mayo, etc.. If the turkey were really good, a sparse sandwich may have been okay. However, the turkey could not have been drier--it was hard to chew through and could have been used to patch a hole in a wall. The flavor wasn't much better. Our dog got most of it, although she didn't complain. TLDR; I'd eat the pizza again and give the onion rings another try, but Crisp won't be part of our regular Friday night takeout rotation. read more

Ordered last week, they said pizza was 2+ hours for delivery, and said sandwiches and salad would be 40 minutes to an hour, so I ordered those and 2 hours later still no food, came at about 2.5 hours food was very good though, the 1 Star is for the service, they actually gave me the food for free and a free dessert , I still tipped the driver, not his fault at all. My sister in law ordered pizza last night at 815 and 2 hours later still no pizza she called 4 times and no one answered the phones, the pizza never showed up at all. Again the 1 Star is for her also. Hope they get there act together because the food was awesome. read more

The wait was long for pickup. I understand they just opened and are busy, but this needs to get ironed out. I don't mind being told 40 minutes, but when I get there 50 minutes later and the foods not ready for 1 hour and 15 minutes that's a little crazy. Lots of people standing around waiting for food. When I got my order and brought I it home I took the Greek salad out and low and behold the lid was open and it poured all over the counter. They left the lid to the container open causing this to happen. The pizza was good, but so is Bianos and Rico's. Too bad that this location that housed Red Cherry and now Crisp can't work because it's a great location. Hopefully they can figure out what Red Cherry didn't. read more

The worst experience ever - particularly during the pandemic when neighbors are trying to support local businesses while keeping families safe. When I commented that no one in the kitchen was wearing a mask the owner yelled and threw me out - told me never to return. No problem there... I wouldn't ever give him my business. Rude and disrespectful. Not to mention a sandwich and salad were close to $30. For a pizza place. Seriously, get over your sweaty disorganized self. One of the cooks wasn't wearing a mask and when another customer, who identified himself as working for the state, asked for the owner/manager to come out several times they refused. Order quote was one hour - arrived after one hour and had to wait another half hour for food to be done. Ordered a sandwich with no spicy ingredients, and it was extremely spicy hot. Since my prior review I've ordered crisp a few more times and the food just isn't too my taste. The pasta sauce is flavorless. Huge portions for the kids meal, but no flavor. The pizza has come soggy past 2 times. I ordered Buffalo chicken egg rolls for football game day and they were just ok, but for 11.99 too pricey for what is provided. I really wanted to like crisp but don't think it's the place for me. I grew up in a predominantly Italian neighborhood so I think I'm spoiled by what I think a local pizza joint should be. read more

I will begin by saying the food is pretty good. Our family doesn't like the bread used for the subs, but that is probably preference. The kids Mac N'Chese is a huge hit. The desserts are really good. Crisp loses a star for misleading ads. They give out coupons that are good for different things on specific days. First we tried the buy one get one free pizza. But after ordering were told it was not good for delivery even though coupon says we deliver right on it. So the following week we tried to use the $10 off $40 or more coupon. This time we were told it was no good because we ordered online. However when you go to their site that is how you order. There is no mention of any restrictions on their coupons but anytime we try to use one there is an excuse we can't use after we order and go to pick up. It is very misleading. they should specify "not valid on......." and they would not lose customers. But I think we are switching. We order at least two -times a week and this is so frustrating. read more

Interesting spot with pizza, salsa, sandwiches, seafood, and a separate (pricey) pastry counter. Review is only for the pizza. This is bar pizza, not your typical Italian or Greek pizza. Their website claims the Best in the World, needless puffer that usually means it isn't that. Turns out it was OK, not great by any means. Very greasy, with a somewhat bitter sauce and an oily crust from cooking in a pan. Overall was average at best, there are better pies in the area. I probably won't be getting the pizza again, but will try the sandwiches and update my stars if needed. read more

Have been twice. First time the service was awful and the reason I avoided the place for months. I went this week to give a second chance. Service was fine, ordered online and picked up with no issues as place was not busy. Cheese pizza was fine but not worth almost $10. The pizza does not fill you up and is thinner than other bar pie style pizzas(Lynwood, Spa, CC, ETC). Dough was tough and had minimal sauce. Let me just start this by saying this is only my second review ever. I also work in customer service, so I really try to practice patience (especially now with Covid-19) and if I do have an issue I try to address it directly instead of passive aggressively writing something on social media. Also I would like to say that as a life long Town Spa fan the pizza certainly rivals that of Spa and when your order is right the food is VERY good. My family and I do a weekly pizza night and we really like to support local small businesses. This is probably the 9th or 10th time we have ordered from Crisp and the third time we have had the same issue. The very first time we ordered they had just opened. We placed our order and the items were completely wrong so my husband returned them thinking he had taken the wrong persons order. He then re ordered and again it was wrong. This happened two more times and by the 4th try we just gave up an ate what we had. I will also say we benefited a bit because we were allowed to keep the wrong orders and ended up having pizza for the next few nights. Then tonight we ordered 1 buffalo chicken pizza, 1 margarita pizza with extra fresh mozzarella and caramelized onions, 1 cheese pizza, and med order of chicken wings. We got all the pizza with the burnt edges because we have learned that when you order just one with burnt edges 9 times out of 10 the wrong pizza has the burnt edges. We placed our order on the early side around 5pm because we know they get slammed. They said the order would be about 20 minutes and I showed up around 30 min later thinking I should give a little extra time because I know it usually takes more time. I arrived and paid for my order (which included a 20% tip) and waited for about another 15 minutes when the girl asked for my name again and she told me they were still working on it. I told her I would wait in my car and check back in 10 minutes because I didn't want to crowd the store front, especially with everything going on. I went back to my car and waiting a little more than 10 min and returned back and again I was as told it would be about 10/15 minutes. The 3rd time I returned I was asked for my name for the 4th time and after waiting a bit more I was told that my order had gone out a while ago and that the wrong person must have taken it. They then reprinted the order and had to redo the entire order and again I was to wait another 15 minutes. Long story short I didn't have the order till close to 2 hours after ordering. I told the girl this was the third time something like this has happened and I don't want to sound like a brat but I was frustrated. She said they excepted full responsibility and she would pass on the feedback to her manager and moved onto the next customer without any type of offer of refund discount or incentive to return. As I said I work in customer service and if my company ever messes something up we are empowered and encouraged to correct the issue and make it right for our customers. I don't fully blame the young girl since it did seem as they were overwhelmed. I do think that problems like this tend to come from the top to the bottom. I suspect that if the staff was trained more thoroughly and there was a more organized way of giving out orders this wouldn't be the 3rd we had this problem. Again I would like to reiterate the food is very good and if they just ironed out the customer service side of things they would dominate the local bar pizza scene. My family and I will most likely return because we like the food but we would love to see the customer service side of things get corrected. read more

Second time back. Food is great, service is terrible. First time we went they said 1-1.5 hrs for pick up. Turned out to be 2 hrs. Called again tonight and told an hour. After two hours (1 hour sitting waiting at the restaurant) we had to walk out on the food. Need to get their head out of their rear end. I have been going to Crisp since in opened almost 3 years ago. the bar pizza is a grand slam on many points, its truely authentic and extremely popular. The ability of the cooking staff to make just about anything you want puts Crisp in a different food zone as this restaurant is soooo much more than a Bar pizza restaurant. There have been some complaints on service and staff. It so happens to be the most important problem in the restaurant business today, simply put, finding GOOD staff is almost impossible.Diners should look past the staffing problems all these current restaurant now have as its getting to be the rule , no longer the exception, unfortunately. I happen to know that the owner and management staff are very much aware of some inconsistant staffing as well as the other restaurants I frequent. Bottom line, crisp never disappoints us.. We order a lot more than pizza and are more than willing to have some inconsistant service ( whereas no-one wants to work like before) is well worth the final product, our lunch, dinner or any of their catered options. Ordered from here about 4 times and every time there has been a mistake with our order. The employees have no clue what they are doing or even what is on the menu. They have been open for about a month and one would think they have this figured out by now. I've seen them claim to see they have worked out their mistakes but in my opinion that is far from the truth. Food is fine, but for what the service is it is not worth it.
