The calzones here are THE BEST!! The buffalo chicken calzone is SO delicious!! As is the meatball calzone and eggplant calzone. They also have a good steak tip dinner, veal limone and shrimp fra diavolo. Their haddock dinner and haddock sandwich is good as well. The pizza is tasty as well. Service is always good. I heard about them online, stopped in for New York style pizza. They do slices, which is great. Very friendly. I liked the cheese slice better than pepperoni, the pepperoni was just kind of sitting on top of the pizza and not really cooked into it. Really good crust. The sauce and the cheese were a bit on the bland side. If I lived closer, I'd go here and try some of the other toppings, as well as their calzone which looks wonderful. read more

Completely disgusted. I have been going to this place for 20 years. Their chicken broccoli Alfredo pizza has been a staple of my kids' growing up. I would ho in once a week, chat with the fabulous Judy, and get 2 slices to ho. I never got the pizza/ drink combo as I always have my water. This particular day I decided on the combo that, per tge cashier, came with a drink. As I left with my slices I grabbed a plastic bottle of Nestea ( or something similar) iced tea and walked to the door. The CRAZED owner, Al (who knows me and always greets me) came bombing out from his pizza station and yelled " You didn't pay for that!!!". He proceeded to rant that it was " ONLY CANS" that were included in the lunch special. Everyone in the place looked at me as tho I just robbed the register. I apologized and offered to pay for the tea ( charged me an additional $2.49!). What a total jerk. Then he ranted in Albanian to the workers in the back while staring at me with freaking fire in his eyes. Never, ever again. read more

This is a great pizza joint with a pretty long list of menu options. We've ordered from here a few times. The eggplant Parmesan was phenomenal, we've had good pepperoni, cheese and meat lovers pizza. The chicken broccoli ziti Alfredo is good... so far everything we've ordered is good or great and have heard the calzones are bomb too. Will order from here again for sure. They can take a while during peak hours but I think worth the wait. read more

When I talked to the owner he said the website had a "mistake" and it seems that I pay for their mistakes. Even though the food was good the owner has no care about the customer being ripped off. I grew up in Jersey City and have missed New York style pizza. This is as close as you can get around here. The staff is friendly and work like rented mules. Once I got home and opened the box to find something I hadn't ordered. Before I could call to complain they called me! To both apologize and offer to deliver the proper pizza. Everyone makes mistakes. It's how you react to those mistakes to recover that matters most. I haven't gone elsewhere for pizza since that night. read more

Yum - I love this place! I wish I could buy a bucket of their homemade Greek dressing because its so good. I typically get a salad with chicken salad on it and their greek dressing. If I want to go all greek I'll get a greek salad with chicken on it. I really am not a fan of grilled chicken and this is THE best grilled chicken I have ever had. YUM! The pizza is tasty, regular cheese, taco or my husband likes to get a buffalo chicken pizza with feta cheese. I'm not even a buffalo chicken fan and I'll steal a small slice from home! Nice, fresh ingredients, the people are very friendly, it is in a great location downtown for pick up or delivery, and it is our go-to pizza joint. My ONLY complaint is that their delivery times are a little long - about 1 hour for a salad and a small pizza. Granted, I don't know how busy they are and I could pick it up myself, but I feel like people should be aware to expect a longer delivery time. That will NEVER keep me from using Pizza Palace often though! read more

Staff is always friendly. Food is delicious. They can get a little slow on deliveries but if you see how busy they are at meal times, it makes sense. My absolute favorite salad in the world! No really, it is. I lived out of state and would rush to Pizza Palace during visits back home, and now living in Boston I make it a point to take home a salad whenever I am in the Norwood area. I have been getting the same thing since about 2003: Garden salad with grilled chicken, ****HOUSE DRESSING**** (out of this world), and pita bread. It's so good. Although it's made with iceberg lettuce and I overdue the dressing, it's the kind of take-out dinner that doesn't leave you feeling guilty. I've also had their pizza a few times. Its classic greek pizza and its delicious. I'm pretty sure this place has changed hands several times since I fell in love with it, but as long as their salads don't change, I am happy. I have to mention the dressing one more time, how do you guys not bottle & sell it by the gallon? I think I ask them that every time I am there. It really is that good. And there is something about Pizza Palace's grilled chicken, its delicious. One thing I do recommend is if you're the salad as take-out and not planning to eat it right away, have them package the grilled chicken separately as the juices can wilt the lettuce if left for too long. I used to like this place. Their food has always been pretty decent. Lately, however, they have been in shambles. A few weeks ago I ordered online. I went to go pick it up while on my lunch break and they told me, after fumbling around on their computer for a while, that the order never went through the system. I had to get back to work and they said they would just re-fire another one. When I came back to get it, they told me they "threw it out". A few weeks later I tried to order again. Just ONE large pizza with a side of blue cheese. They put the blue cheese container ON TOP of the actual pizza inside the box. When I opened the box and saw all the cheese and toppings all squished and lumped up into a ball, I decided to take it back to get a refund. The guy took forever just to look up the order. And then he asked me who the driver was... I asked him how I was supposed to know who the driver was and that all I cared about was the fact that my pizza was totally destroyed and I just wanted my money back. They don't just say something like "oh yeah, sorry that's our mistake.."--they get irritated with YOU because THEY made a mistake. They are not bad people at all. They just seem to be struggling with getting orders right. But, as a customer who used to order from them frequently--and tip very generously--I cannot afford to continue doing so, especially when I'm not even getting any food in return for my hard-earned money. read more

Best Calzone Ever I wasn't happy having to wait for the RMV, but the calzone at Pizza Palace made it worth it. Vegan fillings? Who does that?! Genius - delicious, healthy option. But let's get to the important part, the crust. How do you make the dough crunchy without burning it on most of the calzone with the edges soft and chewy? I don't know, but they did. It was perfect. The delivery times are atrocious, but the driver was very nice and apologetic, shame he had to bear all that stress just because they didn't hire another driver.
