Yelp reviews are generally easy to write. You like something or you dislike something and... you…read moregive your reasons. When I started to write something (I won't call it a review) for Josefa, I wasn't ready. I wanted what I wrote to mean something and to reflect how I feel about the affect she's had on my life. So, I'll take a shot now, but I'm still not sure I can do her justice. Josefa is a truly gifted person. She not only had an almost immediate understanding of the person I was, but also a tremendous insight into 'why I was' and how I could be the person I wanted to be. It's interesting because I had visited a counselor on and off over many years, whom I thought was good. However, in just two coaching sessions with Josefa, I discovered things about myself that I had neither thought of nor discussed, previously. Over the course of working with Josefa for a few months, she helped me to better understand myself, which led to quite a change in the way I feel about myself and how I interact with the world around me. From session to session, she always was on top of what we had previously discussed and was familiar with issues that were currently affecting my life. And, she was always on point with suggestions on how to best handle situations. Furthermore, the suggestions were ones that I could carry forward with me to future issues. Does everything work out for me now exactly like I want it to... of course not. But, I can certainly handle things much better now than I previously could. It may sound like I was a basket-case prior to working with Josefa. I don't think that's the 'case', but I certainly had issues. I imagine I still do. But, now I have much more of an inner calm about myself and confidence in myself that I never had previously. Thank you, Josefa. You have made a tremendous difference in my life.

I was admitted for alcoholism and substance abuse and received the best care I could have asked for…read moredue to my circumstances. the staff was amazing and extremely caring. I'm not sure how they only have 1.9 stars because my experience was life changing. If you're struggling with mental health or addiction I'd strongly recommend this place.

My adult son has been sent to this facility twice after I registered him for help through Mind…read more24/7. I deeply wish Mind 24/7 would thoroughly vet and review these facilities before transferring anyone there, especially since they are supposed to be the critical first step in the healing and care process. To start, the responses from the owner to years of serious complaints are insulting. They rely on automated, AI-generated answers that provide a contact phone number that has been out of service for years. It is completely unacceptable. I urge anyone seeking genuine care for their loved ones to pay close attention to the negative reviews. Many of these accounts come directly from patients and heartbroken family members who now blame themselves for sending their loved ones to a place where they endured such unfair treatment. This trauma impacts both the patients and their families. The visitation process itself feels exactly like visiting an inmate. Once you are allowed in the back to see your loved one, you are handed a strict document outlining the rules: no touching, sitting directly across from each other, no using vending machines, no outside food or drinks, and absolutely no cell phones. It feels like the phone ban is solely to prevent visitors from documenting the rules or recording how staff frequently come around to scan the patients' ankle monitors. If the owner truly cared about these patients and their families, they would stop hiding behind automated computer responses and address their indifferent staff and failing business practices. You are completely violating your own mission statement. Your words are nothing more than a marketing tactic to exploit vulnerable families looking for support. You mistakenly assume that because you are dealing with mental health patients, they won't remember or know how to report abuse. You think that the moment families walk away, we will believe your staff's fake smiles over our own loved ones' words. We see right through it. To other families out there: please do not give up. We need to stand together and fight this system to get real results. I believe a class-action lawsuit is necessary to make a difference. This isn't about money--money won't undo the damage. This is about the principle. The owner and staff are taking advantage of our insurance, draining our out-of-pocket finances, and destroying our loved ones' health. To the owner: you can keep your hollow apologies, automated responses, and disconnected phone number. Enough is enough.
