We visited on a nice and sunny Sunday afternoon our daughter's soccer game and some outside activity for me... so we needed a laptop and lunch. While other stores have laptops and other devices, Micro Center has John S. and other great team members to help you. John was very supportive, never pushy, quick to answer questions and very willing to not search for what we were looking for and provide us options. THAT is INCREDIBLY BENEFICIAL - some times you just need someone to help you get to what you are looking for, to weed through the many options and find just what you need. John S. provides that service for us. Separately from us appreciating the service, at least for our daughter's laptop, Micro Center's prices beat the competition. In addition, their warranty program will replace a broken device; had we had it, the broken hinge would have been covered. So you will likely be most happy and pleased Jen you shop Micro Center and get help from John S., and/or any other of their great team members. Garret was behind the service counter, helped and went over so many things! All of our interactions with the service techs, the guy who showed us laptop options, the checkout cashier, everyone. We were there for a while and by the time everything was said and done it was 15 minutes past closing. We felt so bad, didn't expect to be there that long, but they were so great. The store has so much stuff! Something for everyone if it has to do with electronics. And even though it's the parking lot from heck, it is in the far back corner away from most of the chaos.

I asked a store associate if I could look at the laptops in that area, and he told me to go ahead. A moment later, another associate approached me and said I was not allowed to be there. I explained that I had already asked for permission, there was no active construction work happening, and there were no apparent safety risks or dangers in the area. He still insisted I leave. What stood out most was that there was no attempt to help me find a laptop, answer questions, or offer alternatives -- just an abrupt and dismissive interaction focused on getting me out of the area. I told him I'd gladly purchase a laptop somewhere else where customers are either allowed to view inventory or are actually helped. His response was, "Yeah, go ahead and do that." He then followed me out of the store and watched me get into my car and leave. Completely unprofessional experience. The staff acted like helping customers was an inconvenience. Don't waste your time.

My mom has had T-Mobile as her service provider for several years now (around 5 years and before that she didn't have a cellphone) but she has been wanting to get a smartphone recently but did not want to sign another contract and pay a lot of money for certain options. I told her that she should go with their prepaid plan so she doesn't pay a fortune for certain things like texting and exceeding on her monthly minutes. When she finally decided on it, I had purchased a prepaid phone for her to use. I wanted to get everything set up for her before she flies back home so we went over to this T-Mobile store this afternoon to try to take care of things. The associate who helped us, Corey, was very nice. I explained to him what I needed done and he took care of it all: the porting of the number, transferring all the contacts, etc. He even made sure that the phone was working properly before we left! I was really impressed especially because I had ported my number some time last year as well and it took 2-3 weeks, got billed twice, had to spend hours of angry phone calls with the store (Edwarsville store) I went to and with their costumer service reps before everything was resolved. That was a painless experience and I am so happy with the experience overall. The associates were very friendly, one even offered us chairs to sit on and some water but we were fine and refused politely. The only excruciatingly painful part now is making sure my mom remembers everything I taught her about using her new smartphone.

Their poor communication with my electrical subs cost me an additional $2,500 dollars in charges. Adding insult to injury, the display in my family tv-room has a gaggle of wires exposed all of which are too short for my $300 mount to even work. Because the wires were all too short I can't even pull-out/extend the mount as designed. I asked Dwayne if he'd come back to address the too-short wires on 12/11/13 and have as yet never received a response. A company who doesn't respect the small-er jobs is not likely to respect any jobs.

My computer was having problems, and I couldn't leave home. Someone drove all the way to where I lived and repaired my computer in a single visit. I was so relieved since I really depended on my computer. The 2nd time was last year when a different computer (a very heavy 27" iMac) needed to go into the shop for repair. There's no way I could have carried the computer, so someone from Computer Solutions came and picked up the iMac and took it to the shop for repair and afterwards returned it. Again, such a relief! The 3rd time was last week. My computer had crashed, and not only was I facing the loss of my computer but, more importantly 10 years of precious data. I had conferred with Apple tech by phone, and they were unable to do anything. I brought my machine to Computer Solutions, and in a very short time they were able to repair my computer and thus preserve all of my data. It felt like a miracle, and I was thrilled. My special thanks to Michael who was so knowledgeable, friendly and reassuring. The cost of the repair was much less than I had anticipated and, best of all, my computer was up and running. What a great experience!

This is not the experience I ever had with the old store manager, and the service in this store has gone downhill fast! I will not be doing preorders at this location again
