I have never received such terrible customer service as I did at this store and with Cricket in general. Here is my story: a few months ago I called cricket to order their "high speed" wireless broadband. Before placing the order I asked if we were in a good service area and they assured me we were. The "high speed" internet was slower than dial-up and extremely inconsistant/unreliable. When I called to cancel my service, I actually spoke with someone who cared that I was unhappy with the service. He offered (I DID NOT ask for) a refund for services provided because he said I was promised a service I did not receive. He also told me that I had been misinformed and that I actually was not even in a good service area. He told me not to cancel service with him over the phone, but to go to the Cricket store nearest me (which he told me was Clock Tower Plaza). He said to have them pull up my account and there would be a memo on there informing them of the situation...I would cancel my service there and they would refund me everything I had paid for service. I did just that. I took time out of my very busy schedule to go to the Clock Tower Plaza. I have never been treated with such disrespect and indifference in my life! First, the lady refused a refund and LIED to me. She said there was no memo on my account and that they do not give refunds. The MANAGER wouldn't even look at me, and just rolled his eyes and told the lady to give me the customer service number if I had a problem. When I demanded to see the computer screen, there WAS in fact a memo on my account about the refund I was promised. She had nothing to say, not even an apology, when I pointed out that she had completely lied to me. The manager also continued to ignore me. I asked for a printout of my account information with the memo on it and they refused. There is much more to the story, but I'm sure you get the picture. In the end, I did not get a refund and I completely wasted my time going there when I could have just cancelled over the phone like I had planned on doing. Again, I had never even planned on asking for a refund when I called to cancel my service..but after I was offered one and then lied to and refused a refund when I took time out of my day to go there as directed, I was justifiably upset. When I again called the "customer service" number, they told me that there was indeed a memo on my account about a refund, but that I had (once again) been "misinformed"...they do not give refunds they said, and although I had been "misinformed" about the refund, there was nothing they could do. Truly, this is the worst "customer service" I have ever encountered...and the internet service was certainly not worth $40/month for the slow unreliable wireless broadband. read more
