I later learned that UBreakIFix is owned by Apple and it makes $ on billing insurance for repairs. Apple does not authorize repairs/replacements of Motherboards because it wants people to buy new iPhones. An informed tech guy later told me I should have brought my broken phone here, to Universal Wireless, because the repair guys here are talented and can replace Motherboards a lot cheaper than the cost of a new phone. Gave 4 stars due to trusted recommendation but haven't yet tried it myself. Worth going here for cell phone repairs.

If they suspend your number, no credit card works on their website. I had spoken to the store manager, Alexis on the phone this morning and she said she would take care of this. I arrived and asked for her but she was with a customer. I waited and another rep who was brand new tried to help me. She had to keep asking Alexis for the answers to the questions I was asking. Meanwhile, the customer Alexis was helping had left, and she started helping another customer. I spent an hour going around in circles with this whole mess. I first tried to visit this Verizon location on my lunch break to inquire about upgrading my damaged iPhone. I arrived at 12:05 and there was a note written on the door that they were on break until 1:15. The store had only been open 2 hours at this point, and I'm not sure why they would close when people are likely to visit during their lunch hours. Reluctantly, I returned after work to try my luck again. Honestly, I wish there'd been another note on the door. I waited 20 minutes and was never even acknowledged. Not a wave or a smile or a "be with you as soon as I can." The one person working had no sense of urgency. The man ahead of me in line eventually left (which gave me a little hope I might be seen) but then returned 10 minutes later. I finally gave up when the sales associate and the person he was assisting were showing each other pictures back and forth on their phones. She must have had a great experience. Myself and the other man waiting did not. I am so unbelievably frustrated that I spent so much of my day trying to give money to a business that is very clearly incapable of helping me. I drove to my regular store on Charlotte and was greeted immediately but had to make an appointment for tomorrow because I'd wasted so much time at the West End location. It's also worth mentioning that this is an authorized retailer and not an actual Verizon storefront. I understand the economy is what it is and people are struggling to maintain a staff. The promotion never applied to my account, so I went back to the store last month to have it fixed. Instead of resolving the issue, they incorrectly applied a completely different promotion that required a trade-in, which caused an extra $366 to be added to my bill. When I returned to the store to get this sorted out, the staff showed no interest in helping me. They would not take the time to investigate why these unexpected charges appeared and instead talked down to me, trying to confuse me and wear me down until I gave up and left. The manager, Quay, was especially dismissive. Rather than fixing the problem, he tried to convince me that the incorrect charges were valid, even though they were clearly the result of their mistake. It is clear to me that they misrepresented promotions to earn my business and later did everything they could to avoid taking responsibility. Ironically, when I called Verizon's customer service line, the issue was resolved in five minutes, something the store could have easily done if they actually cared. If you value honesty and good customer service, avoid this location at all costs.
