There were a few other customers in the morning so there was plenty of help from the employees, but at busy times I have seen it difficult to get help. We typically stay to the sale rack and can be some really good prices, but other than that can buy things much cheaper at other stores. Took in my bike today because the rear brakes were locked up and was informed that unfortunately their main bicycle technician is out of town and there is about 2 weeks of back log. The gentleman who informed me of this asked me what I was bringing it in for. I said the rear brakes were locked up, so he helped me disassemble it, find where the problem was, and rectified the situation within 5 minutes. Shook my hand and told me to enjoy the summer weather. Will definitely be shopping at Dicks again due to their kindness and the fact that they go above and beyond. Thanks!

A plethora of fitness equipment at bargain prices, this place is great!…read more I've stopped in twice now, in as many weeks, and both times have been enjoyable visits. While I will be the first to say that they don't have EVERYTHING they do have a very good selection of weights, bars, dumbbells, kettlebells, machines, rigs, racks, etc. etc. If you're looking for something fitness related I would look here first. Now, they are owned by Body Solid so most of the stuff is branded as such. However, if you're not a very particular person (and seeking a specific brand) you should be able to find most of what you need here. For most stuff, brand doesn't matter. For other stuff it does... so check out here first and then acquire any additional items online. What I really like about this place, aside from the affordable prices, is the staff. They have always been very friendly, helpful, and honest. I asked about a few specific items and they guy lamented that they didn't carry it and I'd be better off shopping online. He didn't try to cross-sell me something I didn't want, or pressure me into ordering through them... I like that. It's a way of doing business that is going to keep me coming back to them in the future. Also, they are more than willing to help you carry stuff to the register or out to your car; such service! I'm a big fan of Fitness Factory and will be returning to them again in the future as my garage box takes shape (pardon the pun).

The men's section is much larger--or at least appears larger--than many other Sierra stores that I have frequented, with a bountiful clearance section, to boot! I got excited when I came upon the Men's shoes section with a sign for Size 14 alas there was not much there both in actual stock and in the prices of what was on offer. The store was clean and organized well, and while we didn't see a single staffer the entire time we browsed the wares, our cashier (who was vaguely reminiscent of a young Barack Obama) was very friendly and engaging.
