It was as if we were soul sisters, just laughing about back home. She made the long process very short. She was invaluable. Make sure to ask for her! Also, this was the best part. The phone I originally wanted was not available, and I was okay with that. However, right before I checked out, with 5 minutes to go before closing, her coworker Noah came out, saying their truck of shipping had just arrived and brought the phone I wanted. I was soooo Happy! Teamwork and great customer service at this location! Don't walk.. RUN!! Deals, Great customer service& smooth process

When we asked why the service barely works across half of Austin, they told us it's because we're on the "basic" plan and need to upgrade to something more expensive. What does that even mean? You either have coverage or you don't, and according to their own map, the area we live in (just 10 minutes from this store) should have great reception. But we barely get any signal. The staff also don't seem to care. You get added to some kind of electronic waitlist, and then they just wander around while you sit there for 30 minutes waiting to be acknowledged. The second time we came in, we had zero service on our phone. They ended up replacing the SIM card just to get it working again. We're beyond disappointed with both the service and the network quality. They even told us there are "too many users in the area" and "not enough towers", which sounds more like an excuse to push people into overpriced plans. On top of that, when you buy a phone, they try to sneak in unnecessary protection plans without fully explaining what they are. Honestly, Verizon feels more like a scam than a phone company at this point. We're switching providers -- we're done.

Located in off of Frontage Rd, off I-25 in Southpark Meadows, Best Buy is in a safe part of town in…read morea lively area. I'll admit, I love Best Buy. I have a very expensive home theatre, a bunch of CDs, DVDs, Blu Rays, 4ks, Xbox and Nintendo games along with a Galaxy Fold 4 phone and accessories. I list these products b/c many of them aren't available at Best Buy anymore. With the advent of streaming, Best Buy no longer carries physical media. So, when you stream Toy Story 2 and say "hey, where's that scene with Stinky Pete?" well that's because Disney has altered the movie and unless you have a physical copy your memories are all you have of the scene. Or perhaps you purchased a game on Sony's streaming service, yup you don't own that either. My point is Best Buy isn't there to give you an option to streaming anymore and their floor space has opened up to even more boring and drab "knick knacks" instead of electronic goods. Now I will admit the people are very nice and they have a dedicated checkout line! Trust me, I went to one in SC and they didn't have dedicated cashiers nor registers! At this Best Buy employees are more than willing to help out with questions and they seek you out! I like good customer service, something that has been lost over the years. The floor plan is relatively well planned however they're shrinking a lot of DIY items like wire lengths, and don't have a robust selection of almost anything say like keyboards, mice, you get the point. This seems to be a corporate initiative because I see it at a lot of different stores. I'm to the point now if I really need something and want to go to Best Buy, I'll look it up before first. I mean I'm someone that enjoys browsing but I also like finding what I need for a particular item the store should carry. Now, I've found this Best Buy seems to have stock a lot of items not many other places don't have in stock. When the first Xbox Series X came out, they had it, with 15 to spare. They have the Switch 2 on hand in case you're wanting that product. Therefore, I can say Best Buy will carry a lot of hot products on hand (provided there's not a manufacturing shortage). In Summary, Best Buy is relatively competitive with pricing and will have many desirable products on hand. The people are nice and if you're in a rush they're pretty good about having short lines. However if you're looking for a niche product check online first as their variety isn't what it once was a few years ago.

A follow up to my last visit and purchase at this store. I was wanting a dash camera and there were…read morenone on the shelves and what displays they had were all I had to go on what they sold. No sales person was around the entire time I was there to give me assistance on what makes one $100 more and various features. I was there for a good 20 minutes looking around for anyone in a Best Buy shirt. There was nobody except up at the cashiers by the front and CS counter. So I went to the cashier at the front of the store to buy the last Ring camera in the store and inquired about the dash cam. The clerk knew nothing but did tell me about the customer buy in program to get discounts on purchases that I'd never heard about. I ordered a dash cam and paid for it as well as the warranty and store buy in. She said it'd be a store pickup and would be ready on Friday. I've never ordered a store pickup item before and wasn't given any details other than show back up at the store. She didn't explain or give me an indication on how this was done. Friday arrived and I show up at the store and as I ironically entered the store, I received an email to say my order had been cancelled and product was returned and sold to another customer. I was furious as it was supposed to be ready for pickup and yet it was returned the day before. The clerk said I can buy another one and do a store pickup. so I repeated it back to him. You want me to buy another one and repeat this process when I've already paid for one that hasn't been refunded? You expect me to come in a third time and be out the $300 twice and still not leave with what I bought? Why was it returned and sold to someone else in 3 days? No answer. Now I'm not one to ask to speak to the manager type but this was outrageous to expect a customer to do. The manager came over and did whatever on his computer and said it'd be mailed to me in a few days and I didn't have to pay twice and come back to the store. The whole experience was one of the worst I've had shopping a higher ticket item here. Gone are the days of a helpful sales staff knowledgeable about their department's products. It's all very questionable why go to the store if you're not going to get assistance? Just order on their website and have it shipped. Don't waste your time going in person.

Although they were backed up with orders, the nice employee accepted my need and allowed me to bring in my phone. My phone was repaired within a couple of hours. Although the total cost was $324, I accepted the cost due to needing my phone. It's so sad that I was dependent on my phone working; like I couldn't function without it. I gave this establishment 5 stars because they repaired my phone where others couldn't. If I ever have another phone problem, I'll definitely return to their shop.

I explained…read moreI had a Gen 1 Microsoft Surface Book and the battery was swelling and splitting the case. He was unsure about the parts so I looked up the battery for it and gave him the part number. It was about $30-$50. He appreciated the effort, quoted me $150 to get the job done and said to bring it by so they could log it in. I live in Dripping Springs so I told him I'd make time to get it over to them as they were about an hour's drive from me. The next day I get the laptop to their storefront. A guy at the desk looked over the laptop and brought it to the back. He came back and said his manager was going to quote $250. I let the front desk person know that the price quoted was $100 less. He replied that Jacob was "just a tech" and that his manager's price was what they'd honor. I asked for his manager's name and was told it was Joaquin. I wasn't too happy about the "bait and switch" they just pulled on me but they already had me all the way across town at that point in time. I felt like a chump. The front desk person was having trouble getting the laptop logged in to their computer system and had his manager "Joaquin" come to the front to help him. Joaquin wouldn't even look at me or say hello or even acknowledge my presence. I just stood there quietly. I never said one word to this person. I was feeling like this guy was gouging me on the price and that I also felt that he knew full well that $200 was him being way overcompensated, possibly personally, for a battery replacement. Joaquin just snubbed me, turned his back on me and then walked away. I asked Front Desk Person if I would be getting a detailed receipt showing the amount I paid for the battery and how much they were charging me for labor. He told me no. I would receive a receipt for the full price to include labor and parts. Of course this obscures what I'm paying for labor and parts. No mention of going through insurance or anything else. Front Desk Person just kept his eyes focused downward. The guilt at what they were doing was evident. He also proceeded to charge me $60 + tax for an "advanced non-mobile troubleshooting fee totaling $64.94. He said that was just in case I failed to pick up my laptop. What in corn-dog hell? I'm already feeling like a fool getting fleeced and they're just sticking it in and twisting it now. So, I need the laptop and the swollen battery is a fire hazard so I'll go ahead and let them pluck me like a chicken. I paid the $65 and I will pay the rest of their fees IN A MONTH which was the time they said that they could have it ready by. But I will never recommend them to anyone ever. This was a classic BAIT AND SWITCH where everything is all rosy and positive until I (the patsy in this crime drama) makes his drive out to get the job done and then gets stuck with an astronomically high bill after the fact with a take it or leave it attitude. Oh, I'll pay your fees but you've made an enemy out of me. Never again.
