My review of Crest Ford and my buying experience one month into ownership On November 14th, I purchased a certified pre-owned 2019 Ram 1500 with 55,168 miles, which was advertised as being covered by their Ford Blue Advantage 3 month/4,000 mile warranty. The truck was priced reasonably, and at first the buying process seemed straightforward. I genuinely felt like I was in good hands- unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case. Here's why: 1) They refused to negotiate on price at all, not even slightly, but I still decided to move forward. When submitting my credit application, I clearly told Lee Samaha over the phone not to run my credit more than once and only with a bank they were confident would give me a solid rate. Despite this, they ran my credit three separate times, resulting in three hard inquiries on my credit report. My request was COMPLETELY ignored. Had I known this would happen, I would've gone straight to my credit union and handled financing myself. 2) The finance manager, Tim Rotarius, initially told me the interest rate the bank approved me for, and I agreed to it. However, when we were signing paperwork, he sneakingly increased the rate by 0.25%. At first I thought it was a mistake- until I saw the final documents reflected the higher rate. I immediately called him out and made him change it back. He tried to brush it off as an "accident," but I wasn't buying it. We ALLLL know dealerships receive kickbacks for marking up interest rates, so it was obvious what was happening. 3) 19!!!!!!! days after purchase, on December 2nd, the truck left me stranded and had to be towed to a Ram dealership. I was without a vehicle for an entire week while they diagnosed the issue. The problem ended up being a bad starter. Despite the starter being a covered component under the CPO warranty, the warranty company has given me the runaround. I had to pay $770 out of pocket, and now I'm being told reimbursement could take up to eight weeks. I hadn't even made my first car payment yet and was already forced to shell out $700 for repairs. Meanwhile, Crest wouldn't negotiate even a dollar off the purchase price- Petty, to say the least. I purchase a newer pre-owned vehicle roughly every two years. Needless to say, I will never return to Crest Ford or any Crest Automotive Group dealership again. read more

Pat in the used Car department went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me without even a sale at stake! I bought an old Mustang, and didn't get the title. the SOS told me a used car dealership would have to give an evaluation to transfer the title. When I approached Pat, he jumped at the opportunity to help. He gave me exactly what I needed and didn't ask and even refused an offer of money. He was just happy to help! 10 stars wouldn't be enough for someone who gives selflessly! Thank you Pat and Crest Ford for being one of the good ones!! read more

I recently bought a vehicle here. the process was very quick and seamless & we definitely love the car.

Crest Ford My review not going to blast them like I should but they treated me me like dirt I bought a 2022 Ford F150 Sport from Crest ford on Nov 22 ,2022 the truck was in an accident on June 29, 2023 at VanDyke and 696 less than a mile from the dealership so I took the truck back to Crest. 5 months later my truck still sitting out in the elements behind Crest Ford not properly wrapped so the leather in the truck wrinkled from the cold and this is when they first looked at it well they didn't repair it . So the salesman recommended a shop that could repair it Somerset collision on John R at 8 mile my truck goes back in November 2025 the collision shop half fix it paint runs discolored paint so me that dealership is dishonest because u found later that should have even be working on cars in the collision shop because at the time they had no one licensed to run the collision shop now I turn my truck back in in November with under 15000 thousand miles because it's ugly and don't run like it should now do you thing this is a place to buy a new ford. read more

I was recently in the market for a Bronco Sport and ended up at Crest Ford. I could not have been happier with the service I received. I was treated with respect and they made the usually daunting task of trading in a car for a new vehicle very easy. Everyone I worked with was amazing. My salesman, Mohammad Khan was honest, attentive and diligent. The general sales manager Sam Haynes was friendly and straight forward and the finance manager Tim Rotarius made signing my paperwork a breeze. Don't ever bring your vehicle to this dealership, especially is you have a third party warranty company! I can't speak for all of the service representatives, but Todd kept my truck for approx 6 months changing the engine! It appears Todd would not stop billing the warranty company until he exhausted every penny allotted for the policy. We should have been a little more suspicious when one of the first questions he ask us was "How much money does your warranty company provide for repairs"? After multiple calls and follow-ups, Todd always had an excuse as to why my truck wasn't ready and often blamed to warranty company. Crest ford even went as far as declining a used engine from my warranty company in hopes that we would pay the residual cost of a new engine from Crest Ford. Fast forward a couple months.. we received a call that our vehicle was "ready for pick up". We asked if they actually checked it out and made sure everything was good to go? And Todd replied "yes". When we got to out truck, the tires were flat and the engine was leaking. Of course the truck was not finished and they had to keep it for a few additional weeks for more repairs. I can go on and on about this experience from the unnecessary down payment, employees attitudes, and the unnecessary back and forth calls with the warranty company (because of Crest Fords decision making). I would never visit facility again! Never trust these technicians! read more

Worst excuse for customer service I've ever experienced. They weren't planning on calling me to let me know my vehicle was ready even tho it had been finished before closing time. I was assured more than once they would, but I had to call myself to even get this information. Not to mention I turned in my vehicle and took my own photos because I just knew there would be an issue. There was a 6 in scratch on the rear right leather seat that magically appeared while my car was in the dealerships possession. 0/10 would not recommend even to an enemy. They will lie to you with a smile on their face. As someone who has worked in customer service nearly 10 years, this is the worst excuse for a business I've ever seen. They are not worth your time or money. read more

I've been coming here for a few years for some basic maintenance thru the service department. While my 02 Mustang GT is nearly 20 years old they have fixed it twice for me with a new alternator when it went out and a leaking exhaust manifold. Usually have them do oil changes with no issues. A previous 2011 F150 I owned they put 4 new rubber tires on for half the price Belle Tire was going to charge and had it done in 2 hours. Only suggestion I can make is if you provide the parts for them to replace its generally cheaper (case in point my alternator thru them was going to be $400 for parts and labor, I bought my own alternator for $100 and $100 for labor) and all good. No warranty on the labor but I have a warranty thru the auto parts store. Thanks for taking care of my cars. read more

I requested a itemized sheet and the price was lowered 450.00 (4,050.00). i ended up just doing the work myself for just under 1000.00 . I really didn't want to leave a bad review but I was left with no other choice. I've reached out to multiple people at crest Ford, I even spoke to the owner. I requested from your financing manager Tim a copy of my approval from Ford credit and his response was "no way in hell". I've been a long time customer of Crest Lincoln and Crest Ford of Centerline. This would of been my sixth vehicle that I have purchased from the Crest establishment not including the friends I've referred to crest Lincoln. I had never had a negative experience until I had to deal with your salesman Adam and financing manager Tim. I know that your financing manager had a role in reversing my approval, he pretty much admitted doing that by talking to his Ford motor credit analyst. I had concerns regarding the down payment and I asked Adam ( the salesman) and he referred me to Tim ( the financing manager) when I spoke to Tim, he said to me " that's the deal take it or leave it. If you find the vehicle somewhere else cheaper then go there". All I wanted from Tim was to justify why my down payment increased and he just pretty much blew me off. So what I did was take Tim's advice and went somewhere else where in fact I did find the same vehicle cheaper. I applied and I was denied I asked the reason I was denied and was told that I need to contact crest Ford and get a copy of my approval so I went ahead and called Tim (financing manager at Crest). As soon as Tim picked up the phone he says to me my analyst at Ford Credit reached out to me and told me that you went to another dealership to lease the same vehicle that you were intending to lease here. He further goes on and says that there is no way in hell that I will get approved at another dealer ship and if I do he will scream bloody murder and Sue. Mr. & Mrs. Way, all I wanted was to be treated with respect and not get bullied around by your financing manager at Crest Ford. I asked Tim very politely for a copy of my approval from Ford and he disrespected me and bullied me. Please whoever is against bullying and being disrespected take your business to a different dealership or Take the advice I was given from one of Crest Fords managers and go get a vehicle from another automaker. I'm also hoping race did not have a factor in this but it probably did, the looks Adam would give my wife made her very uncomfortable and also refusing to let us take the vehicle for a proper test drive. We were only allowed to drive the vehicle in the parking lot of the dealership. Btw Adam gave away a crucial detail when my wife and I were looking at the vehicle. He said his friend just called him looking for the same type of vehicle including colors as the one that we were looking at. The next day the down payment doubled. What are the odds of that happening. Every document that was requested from the dealership I provided to them. At this moment Tim the financing manager at crest Ford had his analyst red flag my account and now we are not able to lease a vehicle with Ford.the vehicle we currently have is not reliable and I have a disabled daughter that has appointments that she needs to attend and Adam was also aware of this and took advantage of this. He tells The sales manager and the dealer manager that I missed a couple of appointments with him because I was babysitting, I was not babysitting, my daughter had Doctor appointments, physical and occupational therapy. It's sad to know that in the year 2021 people are still being bullied and racially profiled and being discriminated against. read more

Although I purchased my Ford F350 Diesel truck from another dealer closer to me, I have chosen to take my service business to Crest Ford. Here is why.... I worked in a service industry more than 45 years and am expert in customer satisfaction skills analysis. My trust in Crest Ford service is solid. The service staff I have experience with includes Mike Brabow, Mike Smeckert and Tony Griffin and head diesel mechanic Jeff Dalzotto. They have all done an outstanding job of being very polished in the communications skill of being a "good listener" with an added touch of service with a smile courteous professionalism. I am keenly aware of other dealerships who try to take advantage of you and then the customer feels taken for a ride with too many items piled on the service ticket that often had nothing to do with any current symptoms. Building that trust is key to maintaining a great relationship with your clientele. There is the utmost importance that you have quality service technicians and the diesel mechanic who handles my F350 Truck, Jeff Dalzotto is very knowledgeable and trustworthy to give you his best. As an added touch the porter, Louis whose services I used to transport me home from the dealership are quite relaxing and engaging with his small talk and sports trivia. Overall I highly recommend others to visit Crest Ford when you are in need of service or replacing a vehicle as the showroom looked quite snappy too. The dealer pricing for service is sometimes by the book and you could get work done elsewhere for slightly less, but in my book the small increase in cost is backed by the trust you gain that your vehicle has a great history log and is being serviced by an excellent staff. Well worth it! Treat your vehicle investment with the care it deserves by trusting it with the professionals who are trained and clearly qualified at this dealership to help you keep that investment for a long time. Thank you Crest Ford!!! read more

Crest Ford - The assistant service manager to avoid when going to Crest Ford - Car Dealers Near Me - Center Line, Michigan

While browsing for a good, used F250 last May on cargurus.com I found exactly the truck I wanted at Crest Ford. I contacted them and asked a few questions about the truck. It was priced at $7000 below the book value and I asked why. The salesman said they wanted to move it quickly. The salesman also promptly emailed me a dozen pics of the truck not on their online page and and a copy of the OEM window sticker for reference. I asked for the Carfax. No problem. I put down a good faith deposit to hold the truck until I could finalize financing. In the mean time, I did some due diligence investigating and found what would be considered some less-than-favorable reviews/opinions about Crest Ford. At this point I was having second thoughts about buying this truck long distance without seeing it in person first. Ive worked in new/used car sales many years ago and the people at Crest did and said exactly what I needed them to in order to complete the sale. I even asked the salesman to verify that the optional items that were ordered were still present. He said they were and I was ready to buy it. The finance manager overnighted the closing docs to me. I discovered the docs had my last name spelled wrong and instead of me correcting them he verified my name spelling and overnighted another set of docs. I signed and overnighted them back. Now it was time to figure out how to get the truck to my home. At first I thought about flying to Detroit, staying overnight and then driving it home. The time and money involved were significant so I decided to have it shipped. The salesman assisted with getting it inspected and loaded on the private car hauler. My truck arrived three days later at my home in excellent condition and no extra miles !! Ive bought vehicles sight unseen before but this was the first time from this dealer. They met and exceeded my expectations and provided a smooth and painless purchase process. I highly recommend Crest Ford !! read more

I found a non-Ford vehicle on-line and asked Rebecca to check it out. I asked her to let me know of any dents, chips, and the condition of the interior. She gave me the most honest evaluation of the car that I could have asked for. The car was exactly in the condition she stated. The finance guru, Tim, was very professional. Besides being a devout Red Wings fan, one of his weak points, he was actually a nice guy to deal with. I would highly recommend this dealership. If possible, get Rebecca as your sales person!! Thanks again to both. read more

Had high hopes of great service but was let down. Took my Ford Fusion here to get trans work done under warranty.. Kept getting a run around. Lack of communication. I took my 2020 Ford Edge in for service at Crest Ford Centerline 12/29/20 rear view camera wasn't working properly and I also complained about red warning signs flashing. The tech Gary Bell said he didn't see anything but if it do it again try to take a picture. I couldn't do that because it flash while I'm driving. I go back for oil change and still have the same complaint I spoke to Todd Cheatham he told me to bring the vehicle in and drop it off. My car was there from 7:45 am to around 4pm Todd calls me and said it was a sensor in the front its covered under warranty but we don't have the part in. I waited for 2weeks and I call him. My part finally comes in. I dropped my car off again before 8am I heard from him at 4:30 telling me I need to come in he had to show me something. The bumper is off and it's damaged behind the bumper cover to the Grille ,Grille shutter and one bracket it look like it was bent. Todd tells me I had to have been in an accident that hit hard enough to do damage behind the bumper but soft enough not to damage the bumper. I said I haven't hit anything and no one hit me. He then started to accuse me of trying to get Ford to pay for damage thst I did I asked to speak to the manager. I waited for 40 minutes mine you I'm watching him sitting in his office he finally came out I'm in the lobby with other customers and Todd peeping from behind the glass I tell him my concerns and he said you was in an accident and you need to report it to your insurance company I told him I wasn't going to lie to the insurance company and how I didn't know if it was damage by his technician while he was talking off the bumper he had a melt down and told me I can leave his shop because he was finished talking to me because I'm accusing his technician and I said thats how I feel because you and your employees are doing the same to me. He refused to put on the sensor unless I pay the ship $2200 to fix that part. I just called your parts department 3 times to obtain a price for the complete engine wiring harness. I was left in hold each time for 10 minutes. Finally, on the 3rd call, some jerk answers the line (I had been waiting this time for over 5 minutes) who tells me that I have to come in and look at a pictogram (his verbiage) to make sure which part I need. It took over 20 minutes of my time to obtain this information?! The man spoke to me as if I am an idiot. The recording that played while I was on hold kept saying that Crest is there for you... does not seem that way to me. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE! Very unprofessional service department. Brought my van in to get diagnosed for a High Pressure Oil leak. Mind you I have done my research and got insight from a tech at Suburban Ford. They were trying to tell me that it's a completely different problem! I know for a fact that it wasn't the problem that they were stating. They tried telling me I have battery issues. ABSOLUTELY NOT! They should go to school before servicing a car. They had no idea what they were talking about. They are just trying to get the most money out of it because they know a business will pay for it. They will tell you that it's this and that problem and it costs this much to diagnose it. $400 dollars to get my batteries checked? GTFO. Sami Rose was my service advisor and she was very rude and unprofessional. I also asked to speak with the service manager (Jim Clark). Walked into his office to have a calm conversation and explain the situation. When I was explaining the situation and how they are wrong about what the problem is. The service manager started shaking and getting angry because we basically called him out on how he is trying to scam us. I was trying to have a regular conversation with him and he started getting very angry and started to raise his voice and told me to take my keys and get the fuck out of here and I don't owe them anything. I gladly walked out, I then heard him swear at me while walking out. I turn around to go back into office and told him "Is that how you really talk to your customers and run your service department?" I walked out and he kept swearing at me across the entire service department. What an embarrassment for himself and his dealership. I later returned to pick up my vehicle. Does not want to start. I left the vehicle and was starting up with no problem. I think they purposely did something so it does not start. Customer Service is bad. From the owner down. I will never buy a car from Crest Ford and possibly a Ford in general. because even Headquarters said they cant do anything, just knock down points from that dealership. They sold me a car the was certified pre-owned with 4 bald tires. Even their own service department said it was unsafe(I didn't tell them I just bought it from them). Service said I needed 4 new tires and a front end alignment. We settled on 2 front tires and alignment, but when I brought it in they only did the tires. I told them that we agreed on a alignment also. Then they kicked me out. There was no cussing, i simply said I won't be back to buy another car if they don't do it. So their sales manager kicked me out. I call the owner a few times and never got a call back. So it's up to you to go, but I don't trust them. read more
