Front person has awful customer service skills. Does not greet, has a grumpy look on her face and is clearly not a happy person. I did not have my ticket and was scolded for not having it. I showed her my photo ID with my name and she did not want to see it. She berated me about not having the ticket. I miss the previous owners who gave great customer service and very friendly. Lost clothing? Old ticket? Don't bother asking them as they don't know and don't seem to care. I don't mean to be a Karen(Darin for men) about this but I have supported this business have spent thousands and thousands of dollars over the years from when they were up on skyline and San Bruno Ave. are used to really like the people working here but since the new owners took over, not sure if I will continue to recommend or come here as I recently came in with a ticket for some clothes, I thought I misplaced. The lady working was not very friendly porting to the board that it was an old number. Am I supposed to know your numbering system? Make sure you get a receipt if you have an issue especially if you're paying cash as I've noticed some other reviews. They do not have any computerized numbering system, which would have been handy. Granted they have a sign older than I am that says not responsible for clothes left over 30 days but if I've been a patron from two locations and at least two owners over 25 years, a little kindness for the second misplaced ticket would have been nice. She brought her son to the counter, whose reasoning was that I hadn't been here in a long, long time. Yes, sorry if I've had health issues, so have not come in like I used to on a weekly basis where I would spend couple hundred dollars a month. If you actually kept track of your customers whether they spend a dollar or $50,000 over 25 years, it doesn't take much to be polite especially if it's a small community and you are new owners. Keep your customer base. I'm probably shooting myself in the foot dropping off my stuff here but I think I will be finding a new location for dry cleaning. Used to be a really good dry cleaning location. However due to the new Staffing they have there. They are inexperience and learn from their mistakes on your clothes. I have a vest jacket that I paid a lot of money for. I brought my vesting to be dry cleaned and I told them about certain specifications regarding this jacket. However they did not dry clean my vest when the day came for me to pick it up. I saw this new woman employee rush to get my vest and dry clean it really quick. In return she ripped my jacket which I saw with my own eyes. I left and waited for the owner the following day. When I told the owner what happened she gave me every excuse Under the Sun on how my jacket could have been ripped but definitely not her employee. I wasn't even going to ask her for any money nor could she ever fix the rip. Yet the level of dishonesty leaves me to believe that she's lied many times because she seemed really comfortable at doing it. From that day forward I never bring my dry clean to her again. I was really hesitant about posting this because people make mistakes. Yet every time I word this vest which is a lot, I am reminded of the owners dishonesty. I gave Crest several hundred dollars in business mainly having my pants hemmed. In some cases, I had a button added to a blouse if it was too low. In March 2023 I brought in three pairs of pants for alteration. Two were to be shortened and one had a hole by the back belt loop. Total cost was $55. I always paid by debit card. After I arrived home I realized that the seamstress had neglected to repair the hole in the jeans. I immediately called Crest and spoke with Bobby (spelling) who told me to return with the jeans and they would take care of it. Yes, it took me several months; I just started a new job in San Francisco and ride BART. I have a 10 hour long day. On top of that I was diagnosed with cancer and began radiation therapy. I went by Crest on Monday and had the details of the transaction printed from Patelco. The woman at the counter told me to bring in the original receipt. I immediately contacted Patelco was told this merchant does not provide receipts and all they have is the details of the transaction. I emailed Crest Cleaners this morning explaining why I could not bring in the original receipt. I was not asking for the return of any monies, only that they repair the hole I paid for. They could easily locate the original receipt since I provided them with the details of the transaction and/or speak with Bobby. I told them in my communication that if they did not respond that I would dispute the charge with my bank (1/3 of $55) and leave a negative review. No response to either communication. Not only have they lost my business but I am disputing the fee with my bank. Beware, if you place a payment on a debit card that they do not provide original receipts to your bank/financial institution. read more

TL; DR: best dry cleaners I've taken my suits to in decades! Friendly, efficient and affordable prices. First, they are always on point and deliver as promised anytime I bring my 2 pc suit set in to get dry cleaned. Often I have short turn arounds and am able to bring in my set by 10am for same day service. They are able to get stains out (only when I've had a few spots as a messy eater ). Extremely high prices, should I say off the roof. If you are in the Military or law enforcement do NOT bring your uniforms to get alterations here. I brought 2 of my military coats to get the hash mark on my sleeves and she charged me $124 for both. I called two other cleaners and stopped by their business so that they could see the work I was talking about, both of those businesses said that type of work is under $10 each sleeve. Total of $40 if I was to get it done with them. I went back and talked to the owner and she tried feeding me BS that this type of work was complicated. This was the second time they had worked on my coats (same work different coat) which the 1st time I was only charged $13ea sleeve don't know how she raised the prices that high in less than 6 months. I had some alterations for a dress to shorten the hem and she ruined it. It was a tulle material and for some reason she thought it was correctly done. She seen the lining of the dress and the dress together as the shorten hem! And the hem she sewn was so thick because of the double layer too! But the double layer wasn't the real ugly part, it was that she didn't bother to see back the original hem which was a totally different. And by the way it was a $300-400 dress! Don't come here! If you do regular dry clean it's ok but the prices aren't reasonable either. read more

My brother is getting married next month and I recently took my mom's traditional Chinese (kay-po) dress to them for cleaning. The lady was very friendly and honest. I appreciated her telling me that the material of the dress cannot usually be dry cleaned due to the glittery stitching pattern. Instead of turning me down, she was very nice and offered to help me steamed the dress to make it look more fresh and less wrinkly. I picked up the dress the next day! My mother was quite satisfied with the results. After that, I decided to have my sister and my bridesmaid dresses altered there. I was a little worried that we were too last minute since the wedding is only 3 weeks away. But WOW, the service is unbelievably fast! The dresses were altered in 2 days. (A previous alteration place I went to took 2 weeks to alter my dress.) When I picked up the dress, the lady told me to try on the dress to make sure the length is appropriate for my height with heels on. It was perfect! But I decided that I probably will switched to wearing flats in the evening since I cannot wear heels for too long. So I asked if she can alter the dress again and make it a bit shorter. She agreed right away without asking for additional charge since I decided to ask for a shorter length last minute. This place is not only speedy, but the prices are also reasonable. Plus, the service is friendly and I definitely value their honest opinion. I started bringing my clothes here years ago and this place is awesome! They have never let me down. I have had alterations, zippers taken off and changed, buttons sewed on, sweaters repaired as well as dry cleaning done here and Crest Cleaners has never failed me. Recently, I had put a knitted sweater in a delicates bag inside a washing machine and it somehow got a hole in the lower arm section. Took it to Crest and now it is as good as new. I had been there several years ago for hemming of some dresses too. I always find them to be friendly and able to help me right away. I'm blown away by the speedy and great service! I had an emergency situation where I needed a couple of white dress shirts to be cleaned for a series of interviews, and to be honest they were filthy! I didn't know if they could even clean it and to do it within 24 hrs seemed like an impossible task! I called all over and no one could assist me.
