A deer came running off a hill into the driver's side of our 26' three week old Cadillac Lyriq on Christmas Eve. Fortunately, no one was injured, but we did have damage. The Crest Collision Department provided excellent customer service. Car repairs can be stressful, but Fabian, in the Collision Department, and Art, in the Parts Department, made the experience much better with their positive attitude and consistent communication. We received update calls from Fabian on the progress of the repairs, which we greatly appreciated even when they were still waiting on a part. It was a great comfort to always know what was going on with our vehicle, and for that peace of mind alone, we would absolutely recommend trusting Crest Collision for any car repair needs. Crest was once cream of the crop but not anymore. I have purchased 3 vehicles over the years from here. The first purchase the experience was great. The service department was good and the vehicle itself was awesome. The last 2 vehicles were duds and the service department was below par. The most recent issue is I have had a check engine light for a year and electrical issues . The car is 2025 model and it's 2026. I took it in and I was told I was all set. 5 minutes after I leave light is back on. I call them and they say oh yeah there's a recall we will call you when part is in. Never hear back. I call a few months later and leave a message, no call back. It was like no one cares. I believe Bob was original service manager and he was great. I order a key fog, 6 weeks ago. After 2 weeks I called them to find out that it came in. I Waited another 2 weeks to have an appointment to have it programmed. A process that should only take 30 min. After 2.5 hours later I went to the desk and they said oh It just finished up. When the brought the car around they handed me a partial key fob. I have waited another 2 weeks and just was told they don't have any tracking information yet. I Try to have understanding but when you don't even care about communicating to your customers who support your business that's sad and unprofessional. Deeply Disappointed with Crest Cadillac Syracuse I normally don't write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience to help others avoid a similar situation. I leased an EV from Crest Cadillac in Syracuse, and unfortunately, the process was tainted by dishonesty from the salesperson I worked with. I was given assurances that turned out to be completely false--either from lack of knowledge or, worse, a deliberate lie to push the sale. This included critical information that directly influenced my decision to lease the vehicle. When I followed up after discovering the truth, the dealership was dismissive and made no meaningful effort to make things right. Leasing a vehicle is a major decision, and I expected transparency and integrity. Sadly, that was not my experience at Crest Cadillac. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this dealership get everything in writing and double-check all claims independently. I regret trusting their word. read more

The Customer Service Department at Crest Cadillac in Syracuse is awful. After having a bad experience with the conduct of the Service Manager and the shoddy workmanship of the technician that worked on our Cadillac, I wrote to the General Manager to fix the situation. He stated "It looks like you had a bad experience with the Service Department." One sentence. And, of course, they were not at fault. The technician left off a nut that ended up damaging the bearing. They belittled my husband for trying to fix other parts of the car and that is when the missing nut was found. During this process, my husband was told that we were not customers, because we had only been to their business two times. I also mentioned that the treatment that I experienced in front of technicians, service consultants and other customers was embarrassing at best. He told me that my car was a liability and that if he had known that, that he would not have wasted his time. I saw in the reviews that on 7/25 it states "Crest Cadillac takes advantage of women." I have spoken to other women while in the waiting room, and the were talking about how rude the employees of the Service Dept. were to them. There are many bad reviews for this business that refer to this same conduct. They don't accept responsibility for their errors. The Service Dept. is also extremely slow. In 7/25 I took the car in for repairs and sat from 8:00 am until 4:30 p.m. What they fail to realize is that every time there is a bad review, it costs them a sale of vehilce. I have owned Cadillacs for years. I will never go to Crest Cadillac again or buy a vehicle from them. I am going to buy a Denali. read more

Our initial interaction with Crest Cadillac began with us bringing it in for an issue with our A/C not working, a vibration between 35-55mph, and shuttering in the transmission in 1st gear and while reversing. They took a couple of weeks to complete the work which involved replacing the A/C condenser, a bad wheel bearing, transmission and transfer case service, and a full set of new tires. When we picked it up everything was great, transmission was smooth, no more vibration, and the A/C was working great. Unfortunately, the A/C only lasted about 48 hours before blowing warm air once again. We called them first thing Monday morning and they apologized and said to bring it in and they will have it looked at the next day since it was just in there for this issue. This was the first lie of many. We contacted them on Tuesday to check-in and spoke with another service manager who informed us that they can't "just put us ahead of other customers and will need to wait, but we will try to squeeze it in this week". Yet another lie. End of the week comes and we are told they are swamped and can't get it in just yet, maybe next week. At this point we ask if there is a loaner available and was told they are all out, but we are first on the list when one comes in. Yet another lie. As of the date of writing this (just shy of SIX weeks now) they supposedly still haven't had a single loaner come back in. We continued to follow every 2-3 days to see if any progress was being made and now over 5 weeks of sitting there it was finally being looked at. Mind you, had they been upfront initially that they truly couldn't get us right in like we were told then we would have just kept using it until they could get us in. Once they finally looked at it they determined it was an issue with the A/C lines now, but failed to elaborate as to what specifically was wrong. We inquired as to how that missed the first time it was serviced by them and they had no idea. Personally, I have an inkling that they screwed up something on the initial repair and are trying to cover it up. We have a service contract that covered the cost of the A/C repairs and getting them to simply contact them was quite frustrating. They claimed they continued to try contacting them but couldn't get in contact with them. As soon as we hung up with Crest we reached out to our warranty company and was able to get in touch with them almost immediately and put them in touch with the service department to get the ball rolling on this repair. They needed to provide pictures and did so that evening and the claim was approved within minutes of receiving the necessary documentation. We were then told it would be ready by the end of the week at the latest as they just needed to replace the A/C lines and nothing more. Yet another lie. We reached out Thursday of that week to find out it "might" be ready Friday. You guessed it, another lie. We are now into the week of Thanksgiving and are now having to shell out money for a rental vehicle to travel to visit family as ours has been tied up at the shop for nearly six weeks at this point. I am appalled at the consistent lying that is being done. As of today (11/25) we are now being told it "might" be ready by this Wednesday since the tech that was assigned to our vehicle supposedly quit. I am not sure how or why that is made to be our problem, but here we are. To say I am disappointed and appalled would be a gross understatement. These people treat you like a second-class citizen that is bothering them with business. It is almost like they are actively trying NOT to get business. At this point, I just want my car back and feel as though it is being held hostage and we just keep being strung along with a series of lies and deceit. Had them been honest with our initial interaction and said that they can't get us in, then we would have happily waited until they could fit us in since this was an A/C issue and the vehicle was usable otherwise. At this point I am just expecting that we might see it back here before 2025 rolls around, but I won't hold my breath. In summary, I would actively avoid this dealership simply based on the constant stream of lies and poor treatment of their customers. Looks like our next Cadillac will be purchased from Davidson in Rome since these guys can't be bothered to actually care for their customers. read more

My father brought his brand new CT5 V to have all season tires put on in place of the summer only tires that came on it. They scratched 2 of the 4 wheels and wouldn't accept responsibility. They said it came in like that, now this car is 3 months old, and has never had the tires removed and is kept covered in his garage. Not only did they scratch 2 rims, but this car records audio and video when it is running, and they person driving it out of the service bay was heard on the audio degrading my father and saying he should do a burnout in front of him. That stated, unfortunately I had a pretty negative experience with this dealership, but looking at other reviews my experience seems similar to others. We live in the Boston area and my daughter goes to SU. She was going to come home, but about a week before she was to do so her car started smoking. I thought she should get it checked out before she came home. So I called and made an appointment. She went in and they did a diagnostic and told her they did not find any issues. She proceeded to come home that night and about 45 minutes from home the car started smoking again. We got it fixed the next day and the mechanic fairly easily found the problem. I called to talk to the service department about this. I told them I would like them to refund my daughter's money or do something since they looked it over but did not find the problem. The first woman I spoke to was understanding but said the decision was out of her hands. She then went and talked to her manager who said he would not do anything. I asked to speak to the manager and she told he would call me back later that day. Nothing from him since. I understand they did the diagnostic and it is reasonable they be compensated on some level, but they obviously did not do a thorough job or did not seem to care that there was a problem in the end. I was looking for some acknowledgement or gesture. Again, crickets. Not the way to do business. I will certainly let folks know not to use them. Reputation matters folks. read more

Called and they were able to get me in next day. Dropped car off to get its transmission fluid checked and TPMS serviced. Didn't charge me for the transmission fluid check. Said I didn't need the fluid changed out. Very honest of them. Fixed my TPMS problem no hassle. They had someone bring me home and pick me up when the car was finished. Shuttle driver was very nice. They even washed the salt off my car and vacuumed for free (I assume). Staff made the dealership experience a good one surprisingly. I purchased a used vehicle with them, I had to replace the rotors and brakes, exhaust and catalytic converter , right after I got it and the engine light came on and it is throwing transmission codes. I contacted John at Crest and was told to email the receipts and any estimates. Which I did on August 3rd as well. I was never informed verbally or in writing the car had a limited warranty until August 22nd when they gave me the warranty company's name and phone number. When I called in was informed that now I have put to many miles on the car and the warranty is no longer good. So I tell John I get told they are trying to get the warranty company to reimburse me and help with the transmission issues. I kept getting every excuse under the sun why it was taking so long to get back to me about what they plan on doing to help me get reimbursed and get the car checked for transmission issues . Finally on September 9th the manager called me saying they wouldn't be helping me with any cost to repair the car. I asked him why they led me on for a month and he said that wasn't their intention. I asked why did they ask me to email receipts in and estimates and all of a sudden he didn't know about that and said he would call me back which I still haven't heard back from him. They wasted my time for over a month , if they knew they weren't going to help me from the get go they could have told me instead of dragging me along for over a month and having me sending them videos of the car making noise, emailing receipts and estimates and codes the car was bringing up. I won't recommmend this dealership to anyone, they don't care about you after you buy a car from them. read more

Recently our 2014 CTS needed new transmission cooler lines. While our CTS was being repaired, Crest Cadillac provided a brand new 2023 XT5 as a loaner. We were very grateful. Once our vehicle repair was completed, we returned to drive it back home. On the way back home we heard a whining sound coming from the front of our car. The Service Manager quickly contacted us and had us return to their shop. Upon their inspection they found that the new cooler lines were missing an important clip to keep them from rubbing against each other. They installed the clip and thoroughly tested our car. We then drove back home and to our delight the whining noise was gone! We are very thankful that the Service Department at Crest Cadillac did such a great job resolving these issues. read more

This review is against Crest Cadillac's service department. I have been there for repairs probably about ten times and I dread when I have to go. About a year ago I moved to Austin and have had my CTS serviced at a real Cadillac dealership so I know how I am supposed to be treated. Here is why Crest disappoints: First, the main service advisor, Bob is a jerk. He acts like he is doing you a favor and you are just an inconvenience. Being a service professional myself, I have little tolerance for bad attitudes. Second, they have never provided me with a loaner car. All my repairs have been against my GMPP, General Motors' official extended warranty, which does give them a reimbursement for loaners. Every time I have had to make multiple trips, wait for the repair to be done or the shuttle. Hours down the tubes. Third, if something requires them to do a little extra work they won't lift a finger. My car goes through defective door handle assemblies like shoes, six in four years! The aforementioned policy does cover the replacement but the operations code was not correct in their system for years. I had to go to battle every time to get this fixed and pay only my deductible. Once I moved to Texas with my new dealership I have had the same repair done twice and never had to fight over the cost. Forth, they only warranty their work for 12 months, when my door handle broke at month 13, I get to pay for it again. Only $450 a pop, shameful. You are a hostage. I tried taking my car to the Chevrolet dealership but they said GM wouldn't let them work on Cadillac's. You read that right, I have had better experiences with my Chevys at a Chevrolet dealership than a Cadillac at Crest Cadillac! read more

My vehicle is experiencing " more than", "Engine difficulties!" After putting only 6,000 miles on it, NEEDS A NEW ENGINE ! I have been advised and had the Audi Q7 2011, that I purchased from Crest Cadillac diagnostically checked by a certified Audi dealer; at which time they concluded that cylinders were damaged prior to my ownership. I chose not to bring my Audi back to your dealership after my first two experiences at crest. Horrible Costomer service and lack of knowledge. I brought my Audi to you for a oil change , and you didn't even have the correct oil filter, and failed to put the right amount of oil in. A Audi Q7 turbo needs 7 quarts of oil, your facility only put in 5 quarts in my vehicle. In conclusion I have been carless for 3 months, never offered a rent- a car from ur dealership . think of the sleeziest car dealership in the world and you can imagine crest cadillac in syracuse new york. i have a mint condition 2018 cts premium 3.6, 35k miles and im the only owner, my cue screen randomly got the very common bubble defect which makes it look completely broken and comes with electrical issues( turns out this happens to majority of cadillacs bought between '14-18') i bring it in to crest so they can inspect my screen and determine whether im at fault or this just happened because they sell faulty parts. a manager named jeff takes one look at it and instantly can tell it wasnt my fault, checks my b2b warranty then notices my warranty ran out 10 days ago, then proceeds to pull down his Velcro nipple flaps and rub his nipples with joy. before i even went to crest i had already spoken with GM and they told me it would be covered just bring it to a certified gm dealership. jeff tells me it will not be covered and i need to "assume ownership responsibility", and i need to pay $1400 to get a new screen installed, he repeats same quote several times like a regular old one trick pony. i can understand if it was a normal wear part but if you would of told me i would need $1400 for a new screen after 35k miles because of a defective cadillac part theyve been sued over countless times i would of laughed in there face. jeff was getting berated by a man from CNY drive when i arrived and i felt bad at first but after speaking to jeff i see why, he was very rude and unprofessional when talking to me also his receptionist raquel was verbally insulting customers right in front of me. crest happens to be the only cadillac dealership for hours around me so i was forced to do business here for years because my car came with free oil changes for 3 years, every single time i brought my car in they would do less and less and cut more corners. completely lied about when i can change my oil life and changed they policy several times to make me wait longer. i would absolutely never do business with crest ever again and would advise all to follow suit. after he tells me im SOL i ask for a manager or after sales manager to speak with and he tells me no position exist and i need to call gm customer service main line lol. after jumping threw some more hoops i get gm to contact the after sales manager that does in fact exist and he found a closer gm dealership to cover 100% of the cost and make it right. read more

I've never had a more unpleasant car buying and servicing experience. Crest Cadillac salesperson Paul Bondy was dishonest with me from the beginning and told me the car had features that it did not and only after purchase admitted that they were not on the car. Within 3 weeks of purchase my battery died. Within 1.5 months my check engine light came on for timing belts. Which according to GM, is extremely common and covered under Special Service arrangements. Crest fixes the engine through the GM 100,000 mile warranty. Upon leaving Crest, I realize my engine is making 'ticking/knocking' noises upon cold-start and as driving off the lot from the engine work - it becomes clear to me by the end of the lot that I have no power steering control. Crest's technician informs me that the engine noise is the oil pressure lifters - which are of no concern and have nothing to do with what they did (even if it wasn't happening prior to their work). I proceed to leave my car for the power steering pump. They replace my pump - which also has a Special Service arrangement with GM, however, this time they want to charge me full price for the work. After considerable debating of the issue on why my pump went bad - Crest agreed to cover half of this cost. Within a day or two of pick up I started losing steering control again. I take it back to be checked after almost crashing three times, Shawn proceeds to tell me there isn't an issue - maybe an air bubble. I pick up my car again - to have two more instances of steering control loss. I take it to Crest again - with the same response by Shawn (service manager) - no issue. As I have now brought my car in for the third time on a single issue plus three other times for other issues within the first 3 months of owning the car - I contact the general manager about possible replacement of my vehicle. To which they agree. However, Craig (Used car manager) only calls me a handful of times. At one point, I went in to test drive a smaller, older car, that I decided I truly didn't want. Craig tells me it might take some time to get a vehicle with what I want (SUV) on their lot. I agree to this, as I'm not looking to just settle for any vehicle. However, I never hear from Craig again, despite calls and emails to him, no other cars, no other options become available... in five months. Five months have gone by and my engine light comes on again. OnStar pulls the code and reports the same issue as I had the first time - timing belts. I contact Crest and they tell me THEY will diagnose. So, I take it back to Crest despite not wanting to because the work may be related to the original engine work - which seemingly may be covered by a warranty. They tell me it is a new, unrelated issue in the engine. I check around with other vehicle service technicians, just to get a price for the work, and they advise me that this part, the camshaft sensor may have been broken when the engine was worked on originally. I call Crest to ask about this possibility and their answer is, "not related, nothing we can do". At this point, Shawn no longer answers my calls and although Craig answers, he does not return calls. I'm out of options in regards to working it out with Crest. I'm left to contact an attorney to resolve these issues. Unfortunately, I dealt with dishonesty throughout my entire relationship with this company. What's worse, they treated me like I did something wrong!!! They made me feel uncomfortable about contacting them and ignorant every time I made a complaint about my car. Jeff, I drove off the lot the day I purchased the car with a bad bearing because staff at CREST was negligent in preparing the car before selling it, that does not make the repair a favor or courtesy in customer service to me. I'll give you the battery was a courtesy and I appreciated it - thank you. Please note, that after my review of GM special service arrangements (on my own), I found that I never should have been charged AT ALL, not even half for the power steering pump - to the affect that GM will be refunding me that money, potentially refunding Crest as well? Jeff, I was approximately 500 miles over my appropriate oil change timeline with a synthetic oil. When I took my car for oil change after you made this statement, over 5 quarts were pulled from my 5.5 quart-capacity engine. Indicating that my oil was NEVER LOW, not even low enough for the low oil indicator light to come on. So any references to me injuring my engine with low oil are dishonest. Please also let your notes reflect that cars over 90,000 miles are purchased every day, and if they truly are such a huge risk - why sell them? At this point the service standards I've encountered leave a lot to be desired. Have taken my XTS in for service twice at Crest since moving back to the Syracuse area. The first was for a flat tire and pressure sensor issue. The dealership had me bring my car in and replaced the tire and fixed the sensor in about 90 minutes. The staff was great and offered me snacks/drinks in their comfortable waiting room multiple times - even though I brought my car in 20 minutes before they closed. The second time was an even better customer experience. My lights/radio were flickering and my car was not starting properly. I brought it in at noon and they gave me a loaner. They called me 3 hours later and said it was ready. They replaced the battery for free as it was under warranty, did a full multi point inspection, washed it and even vacuumed it out for free. Honestly great service that was done very quickly and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Thanks to Liz in service and the mechanics who fixed and cleaned my car! 5/5 stars I will be back for sure. read more

We were travelling from PA to Montreal,Qc and realized our tire was very low when we pulled up to Tully,Ny for gas our tire was flat on the ground. Pascarella's Towing drove us to CREST CADILLAC Syracuse for our ATS vehicle. What fine and efficient people, everyone so friendly and a Mr. Jim Barr greeted us after ..as we wanted to compliment on cleanliness of office surroundings, waiting room ,coffee,juices cookies etc...What a great place of professional and sociable people. Service was not long and Shawn went over and above our expectations. Remember we are out of town and had no idea of what to expect. Love this place.
