I literally asked THE STAFF to lower their voices as it echos throughout the QUIET ROOM multiple time! and instead of doing so, one of the desk workers who previously asked me to EXIT THE QUIET ROOM so that an employee can eat their damn lunch while I was STUDYING gave me an attitude for POLITELY asking their asses to lower their voices as we are in a library. This bozo then asks me to EXIT the Quiet Room AGAIN because she and her colleagues are UNABLE TO USE LIBRARY APPROPRIATE VOICES! I wish I could upload a recording of how loud and OBNOXIOUS they are so that those of you who see this could understand how insanely loud these Public Library working HAGS are! So again, if you actually need a quiet space to get some legitimate reading or studying done DO NOT COME TO TENAFLY PUBLIC LIBRARY! especially if you are a person of color because I am absolutely positive that if I was Caucasian that the response to me respectfully asking them to lower their voices so that I may study for an exam IN PEACE would have been received very differently. Nicely built establishment however the HAGS at the front desk need to be replaced!

I love this library, especially the kids section. They have a big round space that serves as a…read morereading corner and there is a bathtub in the middle of it with pillows inside. My kids enjoy climbing in there with a book. The adult section is nice too. It's a beautiful round space with lots of sunlight and work / reading spaces. I haven't tried their classes yet, but must say I am intrigued by the French conversation classes and the knitting club. This library is a beautiful, well light community space for people to come and share a love for reading. I take my kids there often so they can learn to love books and reading as well and there are plenty of resources for them to do so.

After many years of delay, it's thrilling that construction on this new branch library has finally…read morebeen completed. The attractive new building greatly expands and wonderfully refines the public space available for adult, youth, and child patrons. Upstairs there is abundant natural light, tables and computer stations, as well as a few comfy chairs to read books, magazines, or newspapers. Having discarded the tattered and dated collection from the old building across the street, there are many brand-new books and DVDs shelved in a compact area, including books in many languages and graphic formats. Completely wheelchair accessible, there is also a nice stone staircase leading to the children's area downstairs that is also naturally lit and even features a small area with huge pots of bamboo, a huge rug area, and even some natural rock features that are likely to appeal to squirmy toddlers. Again, there are tables and computer stations as well as many shelves of brand new material. The old library staff was retained and seems to be adjusting well to the new digs. My only complaint is that Bloomberg's latest budget has cut hours. It would be nice to see this gorgeous facility open later and on Sundays.

There are three floors; the main floor has dvds, magazines, and mostly nonfiction as well as computer stations, top floor is the childrens floor, and the basement has a laptop charding station with a lot of reference material. Of course there is the standard free wifi. The staff are all very helpful and quite nice. I go to the library every week and I think more people should take advantage to one of the greatest things about living in this amazing city. The NYPL truly is a wonderful organization. The only bummer is the hours and that they're aren't open Sundays.
