I love my local library! Seriously Chrissy, the worst library you've ever gone to?! Bah humbug!…read more I've never found this library to be overly "loud." And the staff are nothing but kind and helpful! Sure this library is much tinier than other libraries but it's just what one needs. If they don't carry a book or movie you can easily order it from the library computer system, and it will arrive within a few days. I personally love this library because of the kids section downstairs. My daughter LOVES going to the library! She loves story time (shoutout to Miss Erin and Miss Nina) and the arts and crafts that sometimes goes along with it. They have puzzles for the kids to play with and other fun games. The library even holds fun events for people of all ages - in the library and on The Village Green. There is knitting, movie night, yoga, crafts, etc! They hold a kickoff to the summer reading season on The Village Green and one night they had a telescope night where you could look at the moon and Saturn. My little one loved it! Thanks for having so many fun activities! I look forward to what the future holds for my little local library.

Very pleasant and helpful staff and librarians! Love the online system for requests. I place my…read morerequests and get text and email notifications. I know when to pick up and when the books are due back. So you can pop in to grab your books or media and be on your way in minutes. This library has a variety of programs and clubs/groups that meet across a pretty wide range. Tonight there was a light opera group preforming.. Bergen county has a pretty great library system and loans to member libraries card holders. Another thing that this library often has are discount coupons for broadway and off broadway shows in the city. They even sometimes have dinner theater discounts. People often forget that tax forms and public transportation schedules are often available too. Media isn't just books on tape. It is music and movies too, check it out. Be a Uber Recycler and use your library!

My 1 1/2 yo son come multiple times a month, and I am very impressed by the library offering an…read moreentire floor for children. My son really enjoys the kids' room where there are misc. toys, and he can play there for a solid 30mins. The books offered are also wonderful, better selection than some of the other local libraries I've been to. I like that they have the flap books for little kids where the kids can open up a flap and something is revealed underneath. The books are taken very good care of. The library also boasts a really full event calendar, from story time to crafts to live music. I was thoroughly impressed that the live music performer goes an entire hour singing kids' songs, I'd have expected just 30mins! I took off one star because I've only used the outdoor book return dropoff box once when the library was closed, and 2 of 6 books I returned were never scanned in. I only found out when the library sent me a reminder email of the books I had to return still. I called the library, the librarian looked at the shelves and found the 2 books. She apologized and said I'm all set. I'm glad they found the books on the shelves because I'm not sure how long it would've taken to dispute that I in fact returned the books, but I was put off by the fact that the library wasn't careful with scanning all the books in. I recommend returning all books with a librarian so they scan the books in right away, rather than the outside book returns bin.

Really love this library, I remember coming here when I was super young and bringing a bag with me…read moreso I could carry my 6 new books out easily. Is it clear I'm a nerd? I had to print a large amount of copies and the copy machine just looked at me like "hey you're screwed". I'm a hairdresser I had no idea how to use this life sized machine. Luckily one of the gals working was so so sweet, stopped everything she was doing and came over to help me! I was so grateful I could stop thanking her. Copies are ten cents there and I would've paid so much more because she was so helpful and sweet. They normally have a great selection of new books too, access to a nice amount of computers as well. The only drawback to this library is that it does not have its own parking lot. Depending on the time of the day it can be hard to find a spot because it's located right on the main avenue of the town. You can usually find a spot on the side streets. Overall it's a fantastic library, definitely recommend it if you need to get some work done or are just looking to get lost in a good book.

I'm currently in Grad school so I come to this library often when I need to get studying done. This…read moreis mainly because of convenience because it's much closer than my school library and I'm one of those people who need to leave my apartment to get work done efficiently. The library itself is very nice and has an amazing staff that are very helpful. However it has fewer amenities compared with other libraries. The few things they do offer is free wifi, computer access, as well as the obvious books/references. There are roughly 12-20 tables to sit and read. They also have a "security guard" that is usually present during all hours if you need someone to watch your stuff if you step out. Most places to sit have electrical outlets if you need to plug in a cellphone/laptop/tablet/etc. Overall this is a nice library and the only reason I gave it 3 stars is because it is SUPER NOISY, especially after kids get out of school!!! I can't stress this part enough!!!! Don't be surprised when people are answering cellphone calls, laughing, or carrying on full conversations as if they were at a sporting event. It's not your stereotypical...."Shhhhh be quiet and if you must speak wisper" -type of library. There are also private tutors that use this space to help adults and children with language lessons and after school tutoring, so there will be constant noise anytime after 12pm on schooldays. So make sure you bring headphones with music or earplugs if you are like me and need to drown out background noise. I also forgot to mention they a very small museum upstairs and a children's library that is located in the back and I've never really spent any time in either location to be honest. From what I've seen, the library has a pretty decent selection of books and constantly change their available displays for popular new reads.
