Just visited with my parents as I'm looking to get them involved in more activities. I just got myself a replacement card and a new one for mom. Note: They require 2 forms of ID with address. The librarians who helped us were very sweet, and someone from the back came up and registered my mom for chair yoga so she didn't have to run back there. (They were close to closing already.) I researched a couple of local senior centers and was disappointed that offer very little as far as activities and food choice. This library is clean, updated, and offers many activities for all ages. Looking forward to seeing how they enjoy it.

Surprisingly a good library. It's quiet, clean, and has working wifi. There seems to be a good collection of books, magazines, and sitting space. The demographic is diverse and everyone is just working hard. Great! :) Some ambient noise here and there, but if you need to focus, just put on headphones as the rest of the world and workforce does. If it's too loud, say something.

Although I live on the other side of the NYC/Nassau County border, I go to this library on weekends and am really impressed. It has two floors and a theater. The children section also has computers for kids to use in half hour increments which has tutoring on it although I don't know how it works. They have a lot of events to take your children too and private study rooms you can sign up for in order to avoid too many distractions. It's really clean and the staff are all really sweet and have developed relationships with the people who frequent the library. Its also open every day of the week unlike some queens public libraries and is a nice place to study if you can't do it at home.

I absolutely love this library. However, I wish the staff would keep the noise level down when speaking amongst themselves and visitors :-).

Also it seemed a bit dimmed not enough light. The children's section seems of adequate size and accompanies plenty of space. The adult section is smaller and cornered. There's two return checkout machines (1 is conveniently located outside and the other one is inside next to the bathroom). As soon as you walk in on your left are the computers and some tables. On the right side is teen room with few tables and a bathroom. In the back of the library is 2-3 tables to sit as well. Checkout counter is located by the librarian desk next to the computers. Two librarians are always seated next to the entrance of teen room and that is where you can sign up to use the computers. I have tried to study here few times but this is not a place to sit down and study at all as it's really loud. The librarians are actually loud as I have heard them converse with each other without even caring others are trying to do some work. I am not fond of their book collection either but I randomly go in to pick up some books for my 2nd and 3rd grade nephews.

Upon leaving the library at 5 pm, I thanked the librarian for the scolding and apologized at the same time, ensuring that I my actions will not be repeated in the future. I'd been here so many times after it re-opens but I feel obliged to make a review today as I am loving that they re-open its Saturday service starting this year. They have other creative programs for adults eg water coloring, meditation exercises aside from teens and kids program. It is a three floor modern building , has elevator going up and down for those who needs it , has meeting rooms in the lower and upper level, teen space is on the main floor, lots of bookshelves, various movies selections, lots of computers to avail, plenty of magazines and other paper materials for everyone, welcoming lounge on each floor, well lit building, self serve kiosks and a 24/7 kiosk outside the building. Did I mentioned that the building is made of see though clear / green glass wall? You will find peace in here even by simply hanging out in here.
