Great library, plenty of parking, friendly staff and excellent programs for kids. Library has a brand new teen space and a really nice new cafe area!

First time here and I love it. They have plenty of free class offered and a great variety to accommodate everyone from preschoolers to adults. My 12 year old is on the computer while my 2 year old is building blocks. Parking is easy and staff are welcoming. We will be here often!!

It feels so weird being here as an adult. I grew up in this library. But when it was more of just a hangout spot after Junior High & High school. Soooooo many memories ran through my head the moment I walked in. I had to do just that, picture it my head! Because they redesigned the entire library. It looks nothing like the one I grew up in. But that's definitely a good thing! It's a beautiful upgrade. More modern and filled with more then just shelves of books and old school computers. I'm thrilled that they allowed me to get a library card, being I live in the next town over. So my son can now grow up in the very same, yet so different library that I did. Still a huge variety of books with more technology. More computer stations. Visual and electronic books to read to the kids. And even an iPad station, with 4 iPads loaded with games. I told my son we have to read at least 3 books before he can go there. They have a calendar filled with daily programs. They even added a "Teen Space" which is great for programs to keep the teens from just coming to make noise. The only thing that hasn't changed is the messy bathrooms. Which u need to have a key to open first. Yet still no one is monitoring the cleanliness of it. They slapped a "no smoking" sign on the wall. Which I take was well needed. All in all I'm glad to be here with my son and look forward to coming back for some of the programs.

As I walked to the entrance I saw ample parking on the other side. Walking inside I saw so much beauty and it was very quiet in here. I say at a cubicle up stairs and there was peace and quiet. The staff is gentle. I received a gentle scolding for being on the phone. Upon leaving the library at 5 pm, I thanked the librarian for the scolding and apologized at the same time, ensuring that I my actions will not be repeated in the future. This review is short because I was focused and trying to get much of my editing done, but it looks like I may not return to Franklin square library, wait,,, I have friends at Franklin square. Oh well, ruled out!

I come for the cubicles and the clean restroom. I'll admit, some elderly members of the majority have put in that little extra effort to imply that my presence is not welcome (I had an elderly man silently but abrasively refuse to share the sidewalk, and middle aged women who look petrified if we cross paths in the restroom), but overall I find the library filled with folk who want to quietly complete tasks.

The play room was unorganized and the toys were run down and outdated. The book area of the kids section was nice and had some stem activities. The rest of the library looked nice and they had a small concession area which was cool.

This is my favorite and most frequented library so far for studying (and I've been to 9 different…read morelibraries this year). There are 3 floors. The 3rd floor is a designated quiet floor. And the 2nd floor, although it's not specifically a quiet floor, is usually quiet enough for me to not need headphones. Also, because there are 3 floors, I am almost always guaranteed to find a free table. There are over 30 tables throughout the library (not including cubicles). They also have a little eating area on the first floor which is great if you plan on being there for an extended period of time/during a meal time. They have some snacks you can buy there as well. You can eat non odorous snack foods in the library, but if you have a sandwich or got food delivered, you need to eat in the cafeteria area. Overall, this is my absolute favorite library. Plus all the staff has been very kind to me and super helpful. 10/10 would recommend if you need a quiet place to study for the day!
