I received a good portion of the information free by going through the channels at the library. I've been trying to gather this information on my own for over over 6 months. In around May, the library provided curbside pick up / walk in pick up services so that we were able to reserve books online to continue my son's reading throughout this difficult time. The staffs also worked so hard to keep the children's programs running through Zoom during summer. My younger kids enjoy the crafts / story time with Mrs. Gregory, music and movement program and making 3-D animals a lot. My oldest one participated in the summer reading program as well as a few Game Nights/Trivia and Family Bingo. I would say that we have spent more time together as a family to participate in various programs with the library this year than before.

Broadway quality shows for a fraction of the price. The Plaza Organization had humble beginnings in the early 80's. They have provided countless shows, workshops etc. since then. Working with various organizations across Long Island. The new venue at the library opened in January 2021. The 7000 square foot space houses a 420 seat theater and various offices. It puts on fully staged Broadway performances complete with a live orchestra! My friends and I had the pleasure of seeing their production of South Pacific on Friday 10/15/2021. It was spectacular! There are three other plays slated to run to complete the entire season. Each production runs for four weeks. I am currently gathering more friends and family to see their next production, Man Of La Mancha!! My first visit to a Long Island library. Not sure if I could register being said I am a NYC…read more(Queens) resident. This location is walking distance from my work. It's a huge branch, 2 floors building. There is a security guard by the entrance. There are special playroom for children, activity room for teens and a meeting room for adults . I have seen posted programs and activities for each level. I maybe a frequent guest here, an hour stay to browse or read is a plan. Will check again later.

As I walked to the entrance I saw ample parking on the other side. Walking inside I saw so much beauty and it was very quiet in here. I say at a cubicle up stairs and there was peace and quiet. The staff is gentle. I received a gentle scolding for being on the phone. Upon leaving the library at 5 pm, I thanked the librarian for the scolding and apologized at the same time, ensuring that I my actions will not be repeated in the future. This review is short because I was focused and trying to get much of my editing done, but it looks like I may not return to Franklin square library, wait,,, I have friends at Franklin square. Oh well, ruled out!

I typically do not like public…read morelibraries because I desire I private work area, but here there are cubicles to accommodate the scholar who thrives in solitary. So... I come for the cubicles and the clean restroom. I'll admit, some elderly members of the majority have put in that little extra effort to imply that my presence is not welcome (I had an elderly man silently but abrasively refuse to share the sidewalk, and middle aged women who look petrified if we cross paths in the restroom), but overall I find the library filled with folk who want to quietly complete tasks.

She loves her job and the kids of valley stream which I appreciate so much. My father uses takes my daughter and we always raves about how fun the events are with Ms. Kunz. I went for myself and was so impressed. She gets all the kids involved and happy. In the summer they have the story times all around the neighborhood such as firemans field, village green, green acres mall and more. My daughter absolutely loves the Valley Stream childrens program and as a parent who couldn't afford summer camp I appreciate this program so much. It helps us keep our children busy and entertained. Ms Kunz, please keep doing the children's program because you are a blessing to Valley Stream and it's residents!

My son loves coming here and checking out books. There are DVDs and CDs for personal use. There is an activity room in the basement where they have educational classes as well as classes for children. With your library membership you can get a guest pass to the Cradle of Aviation museum, the Intrepid, Nassau County Museum of Art & Old Westbury Gardens. We have taken advantage of this benefit and have thoroughly enjoyed every experience.

The children's room librarian tries to organize and clean up the toys as often as possible. There are a great mixed of toys, from training tracks, to kitchen, to pretend ice cream shops and even a daycare available for kids in different ages and genders. My little ones had a great time spending an afternoon there this past weekend.

Teen zone was nicely decorated and had a large variety of book selections for the teens. The children's room was decorated with lots of arts and crafts, bridge and colorful. Only issue was that the adult section and children room was not really separated and it could get really noisy when lots of children hanging out in the children area. Free WiFi! Street Parking, could not find a parking lot. Parking was not an issue at all on weekend. Great location.
