This place is amazing! The staff is super friendly and helpful (as a first-timer there was a bit of a struggle involving the money transfer cards). Everything is kept very clean and tidy, and the machines are incredible. Though doing 7 loads did run me about $30, it was well worth it in desperate times- our washing machine and dryer both being broken at home. There is also free wi-fi access, which is nice if you need to get some work/internet surfing done whist your garb launders. read more

They make up the "free pick up and drop off" with their prices...on a side note when I got my stuff back there were things missing, when I called they said sry there are no more bags with your name on it, and the managers not here till tommorow morning" so I figured if I waited that long my stuff would be gone. To further the previous reviews, the establishment was very clean. They have a variety of machines dependent on the weight of the load that you intend to wash. The smallest, most economical machines take ~14lbs for $2.50/load. I did observe 30lb machines for $5/load. The dryers are very big and you get 27mins for $1. The attendants are very friendly and helpful. There is ample parking along the side of the building and it's fairly convenient to some local bars in case you'd like a refreshment while you wait. Overall, a good experience and I would recommend it to others. read more

I go here every week and have for the past year. Tonight when I picked up my laundry, they guy working there had turned off my drier - everything was still damp and they were closing, so I couldn't put my clothes in longer. I hope that the management will add some money to my card for the next time I'm in there - I do the same amount of laundry every week and when I pick it up, it's fresh, hot & dry. I do appreciate that there is parking here and tons of washers and dryers but after reading the reviews here, I was expecting to be blown away. Maybe I am expecting too much out of a laundrymat. Pros: - Free parking. 4 spots on street in front of the store, no meters. 6-7 dedicated spots on the side of the building. - very clean - 99% of machines work - reasonable prices - a lot of machines if varying sizes - vending machines - 2 arcade machines - staff fairly friendly and spoke English Cons: - NO WiFi!!!! I drove out here from Newton enticed by the review that said there was wifi. I wanted a laundry may where I could get some work done or at least some banking or web browsing but the attendants had no idea what I was talking about. Actually, their English seemed pretty good so they knew but they were puzzled as to why I thought they'd have free wifi - card machines only take cash (I thought one of the reviews mentioned they bought a laundry card with their credit card) and to get a laundry card you need exactly $2 and ironically (to me) it didn't take quarters To their credit, I only had a $20 on me and they were able to make change for me. But not 100% they're always able to do that. And if I didn't have any cash on my I would have had to leave to find one. - parking is not ample... Adequate, maybe. - all the TVs were tuned to spanish stations. Yes, I was in the minority, so majority wins. We have been using Crescent for about 3 months for pick-up and drop-off service. The staff at this laundromat are absolutely amazing! Eddie has been our main contact. He is extremely professional and accommodating when he comes to our home to pick-up our laundry. He listens carefully for any special requests to insure everything is cleaned to our satisfaction. We have Crescent wash and fold all our clothing, bed linens, and bath rugs. They are consummate professionals! When our laundry is returned, it's perfectly cleaned, smells wonderful, and is neatly folded by category... shirts, pants, towels, face cloths etc. We couldn't recommend them more highly! read more

The wash and fold was great, but don't trust them to press shirts. My fiance's dress shirts looked worse than when we brought them in. I could have ironed them better myself. And they managed to get spots on a brand new, never worn tuxedo shirt. I've never seen such bad service. And they still charged us for the "pressing," then said if we wanted them ironed we should have had them dry cleaned. Don't trust them with anything you want ironed/cleaned to the garment's specifications. read more

Very expensive. No free wifi (they used to have this but they must have took the router down). Prepaid laundry cards suck since they break over time and the staff there won't do anything about it and just say "no" over and over when you ask for your money back (I don't think they speak english). Similar to other reviewers, Crescent appeared very clean, however I did not actually use their machines because they have a "pay by card" system in place where in order to use the machines, you need to pay $2 to obtain a card on which to load funds (the machines don't accept quarters). Even if I had the $2 exact change to use this system, I may have balked at paying the $2 just for the privilege of "lending" the owners cash (left on my card). Needless to say, I went elsewhere. read more

Im usually very generous with the stars - even now. For a laundromat place, these machines have very little water! Its so little that you cant see the soap bubbles at all. (I use the front load 30 40 and 80 lbs machines). Ive been to so many laundry place and this place is the cheapest I've seen when it comes to water. Well, my clothes came out smelling soapy as you would expected. I notice stains and dirt are still on some of my dirty clothes e.g. socks. Dryers are good 25 cents for 8 mins. Its hot and dried my clothes in 32-40 mins. I could smell the soap after its done. The establishment is very clean and pleasant. So is the bathroom. The staff does not speak english. Beware: This place uses the card which you buy for $2 and put money in. You get extra $1 if you use a $20 bill. Anyway you cant get cash back if your card has money leftover, which I ran into. I know big chains like Dependable Cleaners that allow you to get money back and even get $2 for the card itself. So now im stuck with $19 on the card and i dont want to do laundry here ever again. read more

We do the "pick-up, wash, fold, and deliver" service. I have to say, my clothes come back very clean and smell great! It is a tad expensive ( 2 clothes baskets was approx $70 ) but the service is very good. They show up within minutes of calling, pick up your clothes in whatever you have and return it super clean, separated, and folded nicely in clear plastic bags. Makes it so easy to just put away. They only pick-up and deliver during the week so if they pick up on Friday, you wont get it back till Monday. Good to keep in mind when you are running low on underwear. Speaking of underwear, I don't know if they use a paint-scraper or what but they really get the shit stains out nicely! read more

This is the best place to do laundry in this town! They have washing machines of all different capacities from normal top loaders to energy/water saving front loaders and giant front loaders. All of their machines use filtered water. This place is always very clean and there is ample waiting room near the front as well as some arcade games in the back. Also, it's open fairly late (till 11pm). As long as I've been going there, I've never had to wait for a machine to free up. This is seriously the best laundromat I've ever used. read more

Beware. This laundromat does not allow you to use coins...you have to buy a card, which of course unless you figure out exactly how much you're going to spend in advance will be worthless at the next place you go. But the real kicker is that you can only use cash, and only bills, to buy a card. So if you are new and arrive with quarters and a credit/debit card, you're out of luck. No ATM onsite or very close, which would solve the problem. The owners oh so generously offered to give me cash from my debit card for a $3 service charge. Um, no thanks. I love the idea of laundromat a switching to cards, but when hardly anyone does that and you can't use a card to buy one, it's just a royal pain in the ass. Won't come here again. read more

Not sure if this is an error by Yelp. Basically , the time here lists closure at 11 PM. I went to the laundromat at 9 PM and the lady said the laundromat closes at 10 PM and that last load is at 8 30 PM. Yelp lists 11 PM. I tried asking ,however, did not look like she understood me, so just left. You can probably call and verify if you plan to cut it close on a weekday emergency, rather than just waste a round trip. read more

I moved to Waltham earlier this year, and my small apartment has a washing machine hookup in it. But I choose not to give up the space a washing machine would take up, because Crescent Laundromat is such a convenient way to get laundry done. The machines are kept clean, they have a nice range of sizes, and they're a fair price. You get a card to pay for the washers and dryers, and replenish your card when the balance is used up. Be sure to bring cash if your card's balance is low, because the machines that replenish the cards only take cash. If you put a twenty dollar bill in, you get a dollar bonus added to your card. I don't usually have a problem finding an empty washing machine, but I try to go during less popular hours just because I prefer it quiet and not crowded. If I drive by and it looks very busy, I'll usually opt to leave my laundry in the car and try again another day. read more

The guy working here was very helpful and friendly, he actually cared about his job which is a nice change of pace. I went in for a 1 time wash to clean my comforter. You can only use cash if you dont plan on being a regular customer. Otherwise you can buy a card to store your laundry value on. the hours are actually 6:30am to 10pm weekdays and 6:00 to 10:00pm weekends. last load in at 8:30. read more

Went to a couple laundromats closer to my place in Watertown and found them to be ranging from disgusting to barely acceptable. Decided to drive to this one in hopes of a better experience. I could see the difference as soon as I walked in. Friendly and helpful staff that was actually busy cleaning and not staring blankly into their phone. Plenty of new and clean machines. Comfortable enough waiting area with free WiFi. Only downside is I found it to be a bit more expensive and slightly more inconvenient with their card system, but wasn't bothered by it since I found the place to be worth it. read more

We used their wash/dry/fold service for several years and prices were reasonable. They even had delivery service too. However, the last 5 times we have used them, there have been lots of problems: 1. They will say the laundry will be ready by a certain day/time. It takes 2-3 days longer than that and they don't call you to tell you. 2. Several items have been missing when the laundry was returned to us. 3. The last 2 times, we received many items in our laundry bags that did not belong to us. 4. Articles of clothing have been returned to us ruined. When I went back to the laundromat to talk with the woman about this, she actually got mad at me and told me that's how I gave it to her! A bright white shirt with splotchy blue marks all over it......really??? 5. When we call to arrange for pickup, some days they have delivery available and other days they will say "Sorry we don't do delivery anymore." I don't know if they have changed their management or staff, or maybe they are too busy? Not sure, but after 6 years, we have decided we can not ever go back there again. I absolutely love this place! it has great service and its extremely clean! the machines are new and wash excellent. anddd you can use a card instead of quarters! you just purchase a card of your own for $2 and load it with as much money as you want. the dryers are amazing, they are fast and dry efficiently you get 8 minutes for every quarter for the regular sized ones and for the realllly big ones you get 4 minutes for every quarter!!!! its awesome and that cheaper than alot of other laundrys ive been to. in some laundrys a quarter only gives you 2 mins or something ridiculous. I'm a fan of this place and will return. This place gets the job done. There's a private parking lot so I don't have to stress about street parking and carrying my laundry a long distance. This place is clean and bright, and the machines don't smell! Yay! I washed my clothes in the front-load machines in the back--think they were $2.75 per load, which was fine. My clothes came out clean and smelling fresh. Plenty of dryers operating at 8 minutes for $0.25. I put most of my stuff in for 24 minutes (so $0.75) and it was dried appropriately. Gave my towels an extra 8 minutes. The machines operate with a card that you put money on. You have to purchase the card for $2--exact change only. Then you add your money on. I do wish you could use a credit card to put money on the cards, but at least this place doesn't require you to carry a roll of quarters around. They offer a wash dry fold service there for $1.10/lb which I think I may try since it's so reasonably priced (free pickup and delivery too!)--but I generally prefer to wash my own tops and jeans--maybe I'll use it for towels, socks, underwear, sheets, etc. read more

I've used this laundromat off and on for three years. Just started going again this month, due to a move to a place with no laundry. I checked out a laundromat that was closer, but it was dark, dirty, no air conditioning and one chair. When I've gone to Crescent Laundromat, it has been immaculate, no wait on machines, air conditioned, has free wifi, free magazines, drink and snack vending machines, and the bathroom is clean. I am writing this review to warn others about this laundromat. I was recently forced to bring all of my laundry, including a comforter, to this laudromat due to an unforseen accident in my basement leaving me without laundry facilities. Because of the amount of laundry and time it would have taken to wash all of it, I decided to use the "wash, dry and fold" service. I read reviews on here which all had positive reviews of their service. I felt confident when I dropped all practically all of my clothing that I own and left them in the care of someone else. I specifically pointed out that I had a basket of "delicate - cold water/low temp dry" clothing that required special care. I also had my king size comforter laudered at the same time. Of note, the comforter was only 2 months old and had never been washed before. I pointed out that the care instructions were still attached for guidance. My first complaint was that no one that was working in the laudromat spoke english. I left with an uneasy feeling that my specific instructions were not actually understood. When I returned the next afternoon to pick up my clothing it was all ready and packaged for easy transport home. That evening when I was finally able to unpack my clothes and put them away, I began noticing some problems. First, my shirts that, when taken out promptly and folded nicely, do not require ironing. To my surprise, all of these shirts were carelessley folded and had wrinkles all over them. Second, pants that would normally be folded and smoothed out also were folded with big wrinkles in them as well. Lastly, and probably the most distressing, was my comforter. I remade my bed with clean sheets and took the comforter out of the plastic wrapping to put back on my bed. Instead of the soft fluffy comforter that i had dropped off, I now had a matted down and shrunken filling inside a baggy shell. The comforter was completely ruined!!! The next day I called the laundromat to ask what had happend. Again, the workers did not speak english and kept repeating, "just call laurie". They clearly did not understand what I was trying to say and were not able to offer any help. I continued to call for 3 days without speaking to anyone who was able to speak english or help. Finally, I sent my husband to the laudromat to speak to someone face to face. Miraculously, when he got there, Laurie was available and she told him that she could fix the problem by washing the comforter again. Skeptical but certainly hopeful, he agreed. The next day, he received a call that the comforter was not only ready, but that it was "fixed". He went to pick up the comforter and, no big surprise, it was exactly the same as it had been the day before. Of course, Laurie was nowhere to be found and again, there was no one available to communicate with him. Again he was told to "call and talk to laurie". He just called this morning. He was told that the shrinking and matting of the inside of the comforter was not the laudromat's fault. She told him that it was the fabric that the inside was made of and that it would have happend no matter who washed it. She offered no compensation, only that we could "do our laundry for free there once if we wanted". I am so disappointed and outraged by the lack of customer service and cooperation from this laundromat. I would NEVER go back to do my laundry there and definintely not use the "wash dry and fold" service. I plan to tell as many people as possible to steer clear of this laundromat and not give them any business in the future. In a time when there is so much focus on the "working class", one would think that a small business would take more pride in their product and image. Obviously this is just another sub-par laundromat with poor service. read more

This is the first time I have ever written a review and am only doing so because I am so utterly disappointed with the service. Now I have been there to do my laundry and if you are actually going to do it yourself, it is fairly clean if not slightly inconvient for its preference to use cash. However, NEVER EVER EVER use their "delivery"service. I typically do my own laundry, but car accident put my car in the shop and I was in a bind this week. I will forever regret using thier delivery service. First it is going to cause you to make and recive several phone calls to make it happen (it required 10 phone calls for me personally), secondly don't hope they are going to do anything but drive to your house and honk the horn. You will be carrying it out to the van yourself AND opening the door to put it in the van (and no the guy will not give you direction on what door you should open for you to have them "pick up" your laundry), really at no point should you expect the guy in the van to ever get out of the car at all during "pick up" or "delivery", seriously, even if he sees you struggle (because oh ya there is a huge snow bank he will make you climb over rather than handing it over to you), he will do nothing but make jerk comments. Lastly, you get to look forward to the confusion of payment. Now, I respect people who own thier own business and work hard, but don't let employees who cannot accurately convey information to customers or understand them (language barrier) answer the phone, or at least have them trained to hand it off when they clearly cannot be understood. For the record, payment options are cash or card, not cash or check as I and my now voided check were informed. Bottom line, go there to do your own laundry sure, but NEVER use thier delivery service. read more

We had two comforters and several sheets and towels to wash. I had such a great experience here. The staff were super friendly. They showed me how to purchase a card, and how to refill. All three big bags of laundry fit into one super washer, and later one dryer! It took me 50 minutes total, and cost me $12+$2 for the card. A plus feature is that they have wi-fi! I got there on a Sunday afternoon around 4, and it got pretty busy after 5:30. Most dryers and washers were taken, and their little parking lot was full. But you could still find parking on the street right in front of the laundromat. Overall, it was a great experience. read more

I showed up at Crescent Laundromat a couple of minutes past 'last wash' and I begged the attendant to let me in. I knew that he was a little aggravated but he remained very gracious and friendly in explaining how the pre-pay card system worked and how to use the machines. He never once made me feel I was in the way or rushed. The store was IMMACULATE and the amenities a plus: snack & soda machines, television & reading material available. My only 'complaint', and that seems too harsh a term, is that I couldn't figure out how long the dry time was for the amount of money I spent on each cycle. I feel it could have been more clearly marked. Then again, I may have missed a posting somewhere. It didn't matter though because the attendant was readily available to assist me. The next time I need a large front loading washer, I will definitely return to this laundromat. read more

Crescent has been a great place to do my laundry; the facilities themselves are clean and efficient, one of the best laundromats I've been to. HOWEVER, if you have your own transportation, this is a great laundromat. If you do not and choose to rely on the pick-up/delivery option, I would highly recommend seeking laundry services elsewhere. I was told the driver would be 15-20 min max, and after calling back I was told it would be 15min from then, then 15, then 5min (after which I waited for 20 min with no one showing up). I was kept waiting for 1hr 45min for a ride that they said would be there in 15-20. I would have been willing to wait the 1hr45min, but only if they had been forthright about it. As it stands, I feel like they were most dishonest about a service that could have been a great addition to the business. 2 hour wait times are fine (business is understood), but honesty about estimates in pick up time (even going so far as to overestimate so that the customer is not kept waiting) is a deal breaker. They have definitely lost a customer. read more

Wow this was my first and last time here. I live across the street, but I would rather walk 5 minutes down the street to the other laundromat. Talk about racist owners. The advertised price for the washer I used was 8.25 and the other, 4.50. They use a card system here but there are no cards available so you have to let the owner use their card. They then load money onto the card ad use it on your machine. The owner td me it was 14 dollars (the extra 25 to go towards drying). The advertised price for dryers is 25 cents. The woman told me 3 dollars fr two loads. I told her I had 3 and she let out a satisfied "oooooh" and it somehow became 5 dollars for 3? When I asked about the price inconsistencies she pretended not to understand me (she is Hispanic). Apparently if you are white and you go into this place it's okay to scam you. I decided to try this place out, since it was very close to my house. BAD IDEA!!! I went there used a washer, as I would normally wash my clothing and I know have RUST STAINS all over my white clothing!!! I asked what their policy was for damaged clothing, and the worker had no idea. I asked for the owner's name and number. I called the next day on my lunch break and I assume I reached the daughter of the owner. She told me, she would have her or her mother call me back. NOTHING!! I called back after 25 minuets and I received a voice mail greeting the same as I would a personal cellphone. NOT PROFESSIONAL!!! I would advise everyone to not go there, they obviously do not properly clean out their machines to prevent rust from getting onto the clothing. I now have RUINED WHITE clothing.
