Conveniently located on Moody Street in Waltham with plenty of parking in a lot out back. This is a clean establishment with an on-site staff person ready to help with any issues. I was in search of a place to wash and dry a comforter and they had that service. The staff person was very informative and explained how it would be done as this was a feather comforter. Did the owners change? I have been dropping off my laundry here for the past 3 years and never had a problem. BUT last few times I noticed it was not the same people at the register and when I got my clothes back I noticed alot of the clothes were folded INSIDE OUT. This has never happened before so I was very surprised and thought it has to be new people. On top of that, I noticed they SHRANK couple of my clothes, the same clothes I have been getting washed by them the last few years with no problems. It felt like someone dumped all my clothes in one dryer and put the highest heat possible to get the job over with. There was no care. This was the FIRST I experienced this from them whereas every single time before I could feel the care they put into my clothes, washing and organizing and folding. WHAT CHANGED???? I am so disappointed. When I call their phone number, nobody picks up and I called on several days to see if I could talk to someone about what happened. If you hired new people, please train them to give the same level of service you are known for. I miss having my clothes cleaned and folded with the level of care you are known for. read more

I would give 5 stars if they would take credit card. other than that it's one of the best laundries I ever used. They categorize my clothes into bags, everything is clean and folded neatly, they put socks together, rubber bands around them, work from 6 AM to 10 PM every day - really great place! read more

I've been looking for a good 4 or 5 star laundromat in Waltham for a while and, try as I might, I still haven't found it. I kind of thought it might be Sparkle-Brite but the number of good things about it were diminished by a few that took some of the positives away. On the good side...there are lots of machines, ranging from the small/medium size loads at $1.75 per wash to the larger $2 and $2.75 machines up to the super large ones for blankets and jackets. It's possible to do heavy-duty loads here. There seem to be enough dryers, but the machines aren't the most efficient in the world...so patrons need to dry their clothes a bit longer than they might normally expect. Some of the dryers also once welcomed foodstuffs and gum too, as a quick examination will attest. That, though, is the price one pays for sharing laundry facilities with others. This is a pretty busy laundromat but unfortunately the only parking is in a cramped lot behind the building. The place can get very busy on Saturdays and Sundays...I'd recommend taking one's clothes there on a weekday afternoon or evening. Hours (6 a.m.-11 p.m.) are reasonable, though, and prices are competitive with other laundromats in the area. read more

I may never do my own laundry again. I came across SparkleBrite after moving to my new place and lacking a washer/dryer in house. I gave them a trash bag at 10 at night. The next day I picked up a package of neatly folded clothes. They separated by category. They matched my socks. They even put my dress shirts and khakis on hangers! And for $1.05 a pound?! So expensive! It is very clean and has more than enough seating - but the price just kills it. Its unfortunate because many people in this area do not have cars or laundry machines and I feel the price is just taking advantage of those who have no other option. Even though I am out of college and living on my own I have been forced to do laundry at friends and family members houses because of the expense. Assuming you have a medium load to do it will run you about 9 bucks. You can find cheaper facilities even in the heart of Boston. I would have rated it two stars but the staff is great - the first time i was there the machine I was using ate my money and broke and they happily covered the expense when they moved me to another machine. They also can do your laundry for you if you are willing to have someone else touching your clothes (which personally Im not fan of, but I can see the appeal). read more

I've been to Sparkle Brite a number of times but despite the relatively clean facility. It's always crowded and sometimes chaotic. And when I usually do laundry, it's during some of the quieter hours. But because this facility is right on Moody Street, you pretty much have EVERYONE coming in and out of this place. The prices on machines are fair. The machines are a bit older though. They DO have a small parking lot that they share with the nail salon next door. But there is also a municipal lot immediately next to that as well as on street parking. My biggest gripe recently though about this place was that I luckily had done laundry already, but was on my way to the bar nearby, and noticed that it was already closed at 9:00 when it's got a sign on the door clearly saying that they're open til 11pm. Now if I had to do laundry I'd be pissed off to see that I can't get in before last load because it was closed before they're suppose to be. read more

I have been to this laundromat several times. The facility is clean and generally quiet (you do get the occasional family that comes in....but it's a laundromat). The machines are a little bit older, but I haven't had a problem with their performance. The prices are respectable, the location is great, and the owners are really friendly. *Parking is available in the rear - but the spots are small and few. *Machines: there are three load sizes to choose from - the middle size wash costs 4.75$ (not bad!). Dryers are one-size and *Don't have time to stick around? : at 1.05$ per pound, leave your laundry to for wash-dry-and-fold and it will be ready within 24hours! *Pretty good hours (6a-10p most days - last load of laundry at 9). *The place is generally quiet - a couple of TVs are always showing the news or some soap opera. But the location is so great, why not go for a walk down Moody while you wait? I generally drop off my laundry and then head up the block to the Gaff for a pint and some good conversation (not a bad way to spend my Monday afternoon, eh?). read more

When I first moved to town this was my home away from home. I didn't really know a lot of places but I knew how to get here. I know it sounds funny that one can find peace at a laundry mat but I did here. The owners are exceptionally helpful and nice. They go out of their way to make it this a clean and welcoming business and everything works great. I never had an issue finding a machine. The prices are comparable to other laundry mats and it was relaxing to just sit and watch the tv's they had on while waiting for the laundry to finish. When our washer and dryer arrived at our home I almost didn't want them because I had enjoyed going here. I might not need to go anymore but I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who needs to do laundry at a business that truly stands out above the rest. read more

Did the owners change??? Usually choose this laundromat over all in Waltham, but when I went to use 2 washing machines I realized they smelled terrible, combination of mold and I don't know what. I decided to use a machine that did t smell, but wasted $13.50 on 2 other machines. I politely asked the woman working if I could have the number for the owner. She made a phone call, but when she was off the phone she didn't come over to me and had nothing to say to me! I asked what happened and she said she's busy driving. I said on, but I'll call her later. I had to ask 4 times for help on how to talk to the owner. Finally, got the phone # & I left a voicemail. I know I made a choose to use the machines, but looking around I think there is mold, more washers are out of service than in service. Also, Im pretty sure there are roofers on adjacent building. Water damage?? New owners?? $13.50 gone. Dirty, wet laundry now I have to take somewhere else to clean a second time!!!!!! Called city and atty gen. We'll see... read more

Outstanding! I brought several sets of sheets and a comforter. I didn't need them in a hurry but they were done later that afternoon. Amazingly clean, smelled great and were folded and packaged perfectly. Will definitely use them again. Beats sitting in the basement of my condo complex waiting hours for machines to become free. For someone who works a lot and doesn't have an in-home washing machine, Sparkle-Brite has been a God-send!! After checking out a couple great reviews, I dropped about 2 weeks worth of laundry off to be washed and dried. Not only does their detergent smell awesome, but I paid $12 and had clean clothes for another two weeks!! The last thing I want to do after a long day of work is go to the laundromat, so I'm thrilled to have Sparkle-Brite right around the corner. I'll admit that when you're washing bulkier items like sweaters and jeans, the weight gets high enough to consider doing it yourself. But as long as you don't mind paying $20-$30 on those occasions, it really is nice to drop off dirty clothes and get clean, fresh, like-new clothing back! read more

Staff is nice, and polite. Location is great and even if you have to park there is a city lot where you can park free on Sundays or after 6pm behind their regular lot. Place has been cleaned significantly after the roof caved in, and their Wash&Dry&Fold service is amazing. They are much faster than Cresent Street and the staff was willing to let me pay at drop off or after pick-up. One of the better laundromats in the area honestly, I don't think I am going to be doing my own laundry for a while. read more

Sparkle Brite is awesome. I have been going there for two years now., Their laundromat is kept clean and the machines are in working order or clearly marked on the occasion they happen to have one broken. Plus there is someone on the premises at all times. It is not like you have to hunt down a phone number to let someone know a machine stole your money.If the prices are considered high by comparison to others, I have not seen the lower priced ones. It generally takes $1.00 to dry each load when it is lighter stuff and $1.25 for the heavier things but I do not overload. (When I do, I just run another dryer batch of the still damp things while I fold the dry things.) I highly recommend Sparkle-Bright to anyone. They are definitely worth a try and I sure do keep going back. read more
