If you bring in their flyer you receive $2 off your purchase which is a great way to get people in the door. They not only sell all the nerdy things, but you can sell to them as well. The walls of Rabbit Hole Comics are lined with beautiful posters and most of them are for sale (a few aren't but they don't have prices on them so that should have been my clue before asking). They also have a large selection of action figures, stuffed animals, movies on dvd as well as VHS, toys, kids books that sorta teeter on being comics (like Captain Underpants or Dog Man), and trading cards. As far as the Comics go, I feel like I could have sifted through the box's for at least two hours. I loved being able to look around and enjou myself on a day like today. My husband did end up not only selling some items to the shop but also ended up picking some stuff up in a "instead of cash, I want this item for what I sold" type of deal. I can see us coming back to this store frequently, even if I am only tagging along to say hello to the two adorable puppers in the store.

We recently stopped in while we were on a date since we love gaming and for a small shop in Ann Arbor, the selection was phenomenal. We were impressed and found a lot of games that we were interested in. Unfortunately, when you have little kids the gaming time can be a few and far in between especially when other adult adults are also busy. I'm so glad that we have this local gem so that when we are in a less busy season we can invest in some really fun stuff. They have lots of DND material. My kids really like the game Everdell and there were lots of expansions and supportive materials for the game. As you can expect, it's pretty pricey. I'm surprised there are still able to keep their doors open with places like Amazon. If you're looking for any kind of game or suggestion, I would suggest stopping in because everyone seems very knowledgeable. They have lots of comic books and trading card type games, party games, stuffed animals, and pretty much every kind of niche item a gamer could want. Even if you weren't a gamer, it's worth a trip downtown to check everything out. We will definitely be back.

They have a small counter top display with dice, an area with trading card accessories (like binders, deck boxes, and playing mats), and a trading card event space. While we were there, a trading card tournament was actively being held. Employees were friendly, prices were fair and the space was well organized. Even with a good amount of people in the building, it didn't feel crowded. Even with the tournament going on, several employees were helping customers not involved with the event and keeping on top of regular business. Always on the hunt for new game places, my husband and I found Discount Hobby. I was a little…read morenervous because they have a review stating they aren't LGBTQIA+ friendly but I decided to give them a chance and found that not to be the case. The owner was super friendly and talked to me about my Bob's Burgers wallet. I took the risk and asked how he felt about Marshmellow and her friends, who rep the community in the show, and he told me how he loved the Christmas episode that highlighted the community. Maybe he played me to get on my good side, but he seemed genuine. Discount Hobby mostly has comics but they also had d&d figures, mtg cards and some dice. They don't have room for tabletop tournaments but they had some cheap 1 color dice that I was looking for that the other place we went to didn't have. I was looking for dice for my hufflepuff d&d character I'm building so we can to a rpg of Harry Potter. I was able to get a set of 7 yellow dice with black pips for only $4.08 ($3.85+tax). They will look great in my Hufflepuff dice bag. Next time I'm in the area I would consider coming here because the owner seems cool and the dice were cheap. While I do like Perfect Storm, and will probably go there for tournaments, Discount Hobby is a great place to check to see if they have certain items cheaper. It was worth the stop while in the Battle Creek area and plan on coming back.

The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 is due to the section of comic back issues. It seemed to be smaller lately.
