Located near the island's port, this restaurant is an excellent way to get an authentic "taste" (sorry) for the island's seafood-focused cuisine. Entree options are fairly limited and dependant on what was caught earlier that day. I'd recommend going the family style route as everything is worth trying. We started with an interesting tower of mozzarella, shrimp crudo and pesto, which may have been my favorite dish of the night. For an entree, I had paccheri with seafood which was amazing, as were the raviolis. The nutella/cocunut cake is worth the sugar-splurge as well. La Medusa is owned and operated by twin brothers Marco and Luca, so be sure to introduce yourself. This restaurant is the antithesis of a swanky hotel restaurant, and that's exactly why you'll love it.

When we got to Procida, we went to Marina di Corricella and walked by the waterfront restaurants trying to decide where to eat. La Lampara sits high above the marina providing a nice view. But I can not say enough about the amazing food experience. Don't waste your time and money on the standard dishes. This place and it's food we ordered you can not find anywhere in the US. I will never forget what we ate. We had the Seafood Caprese to start. It's two mozzarella filled with anchovies and smoked swordfish. My wife order the seared tuna and I had the fried salted cod. Each were excellent and well worth it. But the dessert was something I will never ever forget. The lemon tiramisu!!!!! Excellent food. I told my wife that when I grow old and suffer from dementia, I will likely forget everyone's name but I will never forget La Lampara. :-)

Follow by a salad i wasn't full but ready for my main dish. The pizza came out quick, I watched him make it in a wonderful brick oven. The flavor was authentic, sauce was light but tasty.
