Insanely Fresh Seafood
While in Procida for my friends' wedding, I was lucky enough to enjoy a meal at La Medusa. Located near the island's port, this restaurant is an excellent way to get an authentic "taste" (sorry) for the island's seafood-focused cuisine.
Entree options are fairly limited and dependant on what was caught earlier that day. I'd recommend going the family style route as everything is worth trying. We started with an interesting tower of mozzarella, shrimp crudo and pesto, which may have been my favorite dish of the night. For an entree, I had paccheri with seafood which was amazing, as were the raviolis. The nutella/cocunut cake is worth the sugar-splurge as well.
La Medusa is owned and operated by twin brothers Marco and Luca, so be sure to introduce yourself. This restaurant is the antithesis of a swanky hotel restaurant, and that's exactly why you'll love it. read more
