Figured since I'm saying this was one of the best pizza's in the world I should explain. I feel with pizza it's pretty simply dough, sauce, and cheese and when I ate this pizza all of it was great. The flavor of the sauce had a great rich taste. Cheese was both thick and stringy like you see in TV commercials, but unlike a great advertisement this sucker was real! I especially liked that they would pour EVOO on top of it when they put the pie in their oven. Finally I like pizza's that have been referred to as NY style crust thin but not cracker like. Nicola, the restaurant owner, host, and son of the chef, greeted us with more love and welcome than we could ever have imagined. He gave us the best table with a sunset view down the mountain to the sea. My husband made the wise decision to pre-order the rabbit (it takes 45min to an hour to prepare). I had Ischian shrimp and a salad. We also ordered the stuffed zucchini blossoms as an appetizer. Everything came to the table fresh with so much attention to detail and SO delicious. I'd never eaten rabbit but I tried some of my husband's and it was delightful! We stayed in the twinkling lights of Montecorvo until dark and then, the real magic. Nicola allowed us back to the kitchen to thank the chef, his gracious mother Carmela. She was beautiful as she was talented in her cooking. We left feeling as though we'd not just had dinner as patrons but had been welcomed to the family table. I adore this restaurant and its family. I highly recommend. My wife then ordered the lobster linguine. The dish I had selected was finished for the evening (it was late) so the waiter suggested something that was not on the menu -- pasta with eggplant, tomatoes and cheese. It sounded good, so I took the chance and ordered it. Both dishes were very, very good. A LOT of lobster came with my wife's lobster linguini. She gave me her plate with only some linguini remaining on it, after she had eaten all the lobster (she ate it using a high lobster-to-pasta ratio), and just the linguini with the lobster-infused "sauce" was delicious. And I must say the service was most friendly and courteous; we felt welcomed and well taken care of.
