Not bad!! The only wayyy to come here is truly..via a boat or your mini mega yatch. If anyone says otherwise, they don't like you! No seriously!! We were told that we can walk here from our place across the water. Horrible! Tiny windy streets up and down! Almost got ran over a few times. Che fatto! And then, wait for it. Holy stair climb!!! Basically a few hundred steep stairs all the way down to the beach to get to this place. Oh my! I die!! I mean for real! Boat would have wayyyyyy faster!! Ok now that we made it, it was quite pretty inside. It look like a stunning cruise ship dining hall. Which it used to be! And then they have an inside area to the left: which is cafeteria style. Aka No corperto aka no covers! Aka absolute madness. it is like a violin and champagne one side and a crazy beer pong next door. You get the idea! Menu is like every other place on this small island. All seafood!! And I love seafood! No complaints there. Oh yea: they even have an English menu if you ask for it. But DONT! I mean...you can read, cant ya? :D Italian isn't that hard if you speak it. The downfall was one waitress for this entire place. She was flustering and forgetting things. And quite slow too. Food~ we had everything! The polpo.octopus! The mozzarella x toast x burrata! Caprese! For pasta: we had the frutti di mare! Calamari! Frito Misto aka fried mix seafood. All tasty!! Wasn't too crazy about the wine from pasta though. And best part~ oh my cheap wine!! A carafe of pinot grigio ( massvie) was 5 euros! Un-freaking-heard of!! SO much wine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So happyyyyy me!! Even that slow food didn't bother me. Not as much :) We ended the long slow meal with fruitta aka fruit plate! And they were all melons! Extra happy here. Overall, the lunches are usually long and slow in Italy. We know. We get it. Our families been dining this way for centuries ( so I heard). But this place took an extra hour of my time. They weren't even that busy!! The complimentary boat ride back to Procida/Terra Murrata was a bonus! Our boat dude actually turned around midway to pick up a sammich and a beer. That only happens here. Hilarious! Fun! I'd probably go back but go back early and only via boats!!! read more

Everything about this place says open... except the darkened building and pad lock on the door. Even the hours posted on the suggest it should be open... nope. At least I got a workout from trying to find the place; it's a several hundred steps down from the road the beach where this place is located. read more

La Conchiglia - Seafood Near Me - Procida, NA

Davvero una posizione incantevole, ci siamo arrivati via mare, uno spettacolo. I piatti sono pregiati ma non abbondanti, ed i prezzi dal mio punto di vista non sono giustificati. E' tutto freschissimo e gustoso, ma le stesse pietanze si possono gustare anche da altre parti risparmiando un bel po, a questo punto credo ti facciano pagare piu la location che altro. Il vino è un po sciacquato, la birra è fresca ma non ghiacciata ( un peccato ). L'antipasto di mare come quello di terra non è proprio abbondante ma comunque soddisfa, sinceramente ho mangiato di meglio a meno, mooolto meglio a meno. Non ho assaggiato i primi, non li amo e non sono un gran intenditore, ma i miei commensali hanno apprezzato tantissimo le caramelle. La mia porzione di calamari fritti era davvero triste, piccola ed accompagnata da birra non abbastanza fredda, che nei pomeriggi d'estate è un piccolo passo falso. Il dolce al limone in fine era buono ma non ottimo. Sinceramente ci tornerei perche è stata una piacevole esperienza arrivare in barca e gustare dei buoni piatti in riva al mare. Tuttavia il conto di 32 euro a persona non è giustificato dal cibo, ma piu dalla veduta, ripeto, per molto meno ho mangiato meglio.
