There is outdated wallpaper in every room lending it the feeling of being in a retirement home. Your shots are...well...shot into your arm in what looks like Grandma's kitchen. Bonus: you get to see them fetch your dose from the fridge. Dr. Reese asked me if I was still on a medication I had never heard of, either revealing my twin sister was on a medication I had no business knowing she was on or another patient entirely. She told me to buy dandruff shampoo for a skin condition (not on my head) and slap that on there which of course didn't work and when I went back she was unconcerned and clueless, saying I may just need to go to a dermatologist. I know going to the doctor isn't normally fun for anyone, but this is an unnecessarily dreary, draining experience every time.

Dr. Amy Kelley is super nice and easy to talk to. The nurse that took my vitals, took blood, and gave me a shot was wonderful as well. She made the whole needle process easier and faster for me, because that is always the most dreadful part of going to the doctor. I called and made that appt. I quit driving 5 years ago, commute by bike. On my way to the appt. I had a bike accident that banged me up a bit and was going to make me late at the very least, so I called and canceled. Called to reschedule Monday morning and his office says now they won't see me. I think that's pretty crappy and shows a lack of caring and understanding that should be devoid in a doctor's office. Would the same have been the case had I been in a fender bender? What, bikes don't count? Patients beware - Avoid this crumby office. No sympathy. They are concerned only with the bottom line - not you.

You never feel like you are being rushed out like you do at many Dr's offices. We never have any trouble getting scheduled. Many times he has gotten us in the same day. I wouldn't base a decision to schedule an appointment with Dr Winland based on a 6 year old review by a person who never actually saw the Dr. I have a feeling there was more to the story than that.

She's patient, she listens, she's non-judgmental (I don't get that a lot as a fat patient) and she's more than willing to work with me on healthcare needs and goals instead of jamming prescriptions and diagnoses down my throat. (Can you tell I've had less than stellar doctors before? XD) The staff, from front desk people to nurses and social workers, is always friendly and professional, they're usually running on time or within perfectly acceptable ranges, and they're even good at drawing blood from my temperamental veins. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone needing a new primary care person.

She always takes plenty of time to answer all of my questions and address my concerns. This is a pretty small office. I've found it easy to schedule appointments both for sick visits as well as regular check ups. I haven't had the opportunity to see any of the other doctors except over the phone when I've called the on-call doctor. I've found the nurses and office staff to be very helpful and pleasant as well.

They also have a pharmacy upstairs that can fill any prescriptions you have. The parking lot fills up quickly so keep that in mind. The wait is usually not too bad, though I will admit there have been some occasional delays. The facade, parking lot and waiting room are a bit depressing or perhaps bland. However, this is in no way a reflection on the people and the work they do. Dr. May is well known in the area as well as respected.

My presence as a patient was clearly an inconvenience to all of them, and the physician passed me off to his PA instead of actually caring for me himself. The one perk was that the girls in the physical therapy department upstairs were prompt, friendly, and helpful. That's the only reason I went back. But I would never use this facility again.
