I found a house I wanted to see and was referred to Peter. He showed up in 10 minutes, made and posted a video for my husband, who couldn't come due to work. Although another person was able to put contract on house before my husband was able to get back to me an hour later.     SRP has No Security in place to protect my money in my Checking Account. I've complained about…read moretheir practice but nothing changes. Problem every few years they send out new ATM/Debit Cards in the mail. I never pay attention to the yr I'm going to receive a new card. When the card arrives I can immediately start using the card WITHOUT calling a number to activate the new card by putting in a password or going to the ATM Machine putting in my password to activate the card. This is wrong. My neighbor which I get there mail often being delivered by mistake to my address could have taken this card for example to Walmart and bought the most expensive TV by going through Casher Line and then slide my new card in the machine and then get the receipt and walk out of the store with it. In this day and time SRP should protect my account better than this. My other bank Security Federal uses safer practices to protect my money than SRP. I live in North Augusta, SC. I've asked an employee to have the Manager call me about this matter but never get a returned call. My email is: sunrisesandjudy@gmail.com. If you want to tell me you're going to change your unsafe practices. Another thing almost 2 yrs ago I wasted 30 minutes of my time to open up a Estate Acct. Then to be told I could not open it. They said because 30 yrs ago I had opened up all of the accounts in my name and 20 years ago added my husband's name to the accounts that because he wasn't the original account holders name but the one who passed away I could not open up the Estate Acct. So after wasting all that time in the bank I had to go to my other bank Security Federal in North Augusta which was they same situation and open the Estate Account there. SRP this is silly not assisting your long time customers this way. I could give a few other examples of how things are handled at this bank that don't make sense but don't have time for it.

My listing was not showing correctly on websites. Some websites just showed empty lot and rental price of $2400.00. The property manager stated to me that they don't do GLAM shots. I thought that was unprofessional as I didn't expect glam shots just correct photos of the rooms and not cut off photos of the room. He didn't check up on the home to switch the ac off to heat in the winter months of Oct/Nov. He had a smart mouth and stated one time "Its always something". He picked and chose when he wanted to communicate with me regarding my property the times he did it was to pacify me and to get me off phone and he didn't fully do what he said he would do. He was very dismissive and showed he didn't care about his client. When he turned my key in and I told him I was disappointed he said, It was him and he told his wife that he he didn't communicate with me. Beware!

Multiple work orders were put in throughout my time renting a property through them. On multiple occasions, work orders were completely ignored and then labeled as 'complete' months later. During the summer I had to submit a work order for the A/C breaking, I tried to call their office multiple times as the property was reaching temperatures upwards of 87 degrees. I called at least 20 times over a 4 hour span (during their listed business hours) and not a single time did anyone answer. To top it all off, I received only a fraction of my security deposit back and was charged over $200 to replace air conditioning filters and $400 to replace 1-2 tiles of laminate flooring. When I let the property manager know that the lease mentioned I must pay a fee if the HVAC was DAMAGED due to dirty filters, she then did not reply. I asked for itemized receipts of these costs, and of course, I wasn't given one.

They seem to have the best reach in the multi-state Mid Atlantic area to find niche tenants and make the best fit for property owners. Julian Wilson and Lee Bussell did a superb job marketing for us and finding high quality very long-term commercial tenants making the perfect match for them and for our mother (owner), even though her property is unique. They did this in less than 2 months. Lee Bussell, realtor at Wilson and Kibler, now manages her small commercial tract and warehouse in Lexington County. His long lasting professional relationships with contractors, local permit providers such as DHEC, and other important connections allow our family to live in Arizona worry-free. He oversaw a massive 400 foot deep water well drilling and installation at our site for us even though we never left Arizona. He kept us posted on every stage of the huge job and advised us throughout while addressing the tenants needs. We have a hassle-free arrangement and know that Mr Bussell handles lots of things behind the scenes. When something is major, such as a climate event effecting the property, he has the discernment to handle what he can and should handle on his own and still knows when it is necessary to involve our family. Be very cautious of Auben Realty, better yet stay far away! They will make up false charges and refuse to pay back what they owe you. Upon moving out of the apartment it was cleaned and everything left intact as it was when I moved in the year before, minus one of the blinds. I was completely shocked when I received the disposition of itemized charges from my security deposit; specifically a false charge regarding the replacement of missing refrigerator shelves and drawers for $200. I then questioned the false charge and was sent a photo of an old out of date white refrigerator with missing components that was not in the apartment when I moved in or out. I explained to the property manager "Meagan Denson" that the photo she presented was inaccurate and not the refrigerator that was in my apartment. She then asked if I could provide photos of the refrigerator that was in the apartment, which I had no problem providing; along with videos. As the refrigerator that was in the apartment when I moved was stainless steel and definitely not white. Knowing the proof that I provided. How can you still fraudulently charge $200 when you have proof??? I will never conduct business with Auben Realty again and I recommend others do the same or do your research before hand.

I want everyone to know that its only due to loss of disability 'I am united Healthcare' that I am being evicted though there are protections in place for it. But GA is stacked heavily in landlords favor but its not that they won't get the money. Its they don't want to WAIT for it. Some real bastards! .....The eviction process is a tricky one for landlords, particularly when the tenants involved have specific circumstances that may grant them legal protection. One protected demographic is tenants with disabilities. AND Cannot evict you based on disability denial Landlords cannot evict you based on disability denial. They are required to provide reasonable living accommodations for disabled individuals1. It is illegal for a landlord to deny housing or treat someone differently based on their disability2. Now yes, they are entitled to making money but if the loss is LINKED to disability, and it was, until the appeals process is exhausted and it's not a long one, Then the tenant is not in default. I simply do NOT get the laws in this state as a NYer it's STACKED and way behind the 8 ball

    RENTERS/TENANTS BEWARE!!!! If at all possible, please rent…read morethrough another property management company. If you must rent through Meybohm please get everything in writing. Through my business with them I have found them to be dishonest and very manipulative. I say this because they tried to increase my rent outside of the terms that's listed in my lease. When I tried to convey that to them they were very disrespectful. They even tried to scare me into thinking they could evict me if I didn't pay the difference. Luckily I hired an attorney to look over my lease. My attorney sent them a letter through certified mail and they denied receiving it. However, my attorney is efficient and provided me with the documentation. So of course they had to comply with what is legally binding. They then tried to charge me a late fee and an underpayment charge for the previous month. For almost 3 years I'd never been late. I was late this time because that had the illegal amount listed in the tenant portal and you can't pay anything other than what's listed. My attorney told me to only pay what's legally binding. So I got a check and sent it certified mail. Two of the three delivery attempts were unsuccessful bc 1. They didn't provide entry 2. There wasn't anyone who could supposedly sign for it. Because of their underhanded practices I had to protect myself and send it certified. They are unprofessional, disrespectful, dishonest, and very manipulative. READ AND KNOW YOUR LEASE!!!! Document your own service calls with dates, times, and anything else you deem important. Please also check their Google reviews.

I couldn't think of a worse company to do business with. You want to see an apartment available for rent? Be prepared to call a hundred times and get shuffled around for a week first. You have a question about your rental agreement? Be prepared to read a very confusing contract constantly contradicting itself. You want to see your security deposit returned? Fat chance, they're going to trump up a hundred reasons not to give you the money and then try and charge you more than two months rent to leave. I've rented for nearly a decade now and have never been anything short of a great tenant or had any issues with an apartment management company. This is a place of rental nightmare. If you want to rent from them you may as well prepare to donate a grand to their company and go to school to learn to repair issues with the apartment yourself.
