Some very dear friends of ours recommended Jamie Long because it was such a joy working with her over seven years ago when they relocated to Augusta. Where do we start?? How about thorough, detailed, insightful, CONNECTED...I could go on and on about how Jamie made our home search so unbelievably smooth as we were looking to relocate to the CSRA from the Tampa, Florida region. After we provided Jamie with our "wish list" from afar, she was great about following up with properties to review. Even when we sent her a few properties we'd found during our search from Florida, she was quick to hop on a call to discuss and let us know her thoughts and insights. She KNOWS the surrounding areas very well and this truly paid dividends in helping us to narrow down our list of prospective builders and communities. I must also mention her expertise even down to helping choose the specific lot for our home. I wasn't initially sure about the lot we ultimately chose. But Jamie helped me to consider the bigger picture(views, privacy, etc.). My wife liked the lot as well, so I was sandwiched between my "best Half" and my "best Realtor"... so, how could I NOT agree on that particular lot?!? One final point. Jamie recommended that we hire our personal home inspector prior to closing. The inspector didn't find anything "earth shattering"(which is a credit to our builder)... but numerous 'detail' items were identified that highlighted the fact that having Jamie in our corner was the absolute best part of our home search/purchase!! For some reason, my previous 5-star review of working with Jamie Long was removed ... EDIT: It looks like others were removed, too, since I'm now the first review here. When I left my original review, there were at least a few other 5-star reviews. (Um, Yelp, what's up with that?) Jamie was my realtor when I was looking to buy my first home, and I have recommended her to friends and others in the Augusta area. Three reasons why: 1.) Thorough. When touring homes, she was checking floors, looking at many small details that could indicate larger problems, etc. and explained what she was doing (which made me a smarter homeowner!). And it saved me from potentially considering two homes that turned out to be in poor shape, but appeared great at the outset. 2.) Friendly. She clearly loves what she does, and it comes through it her attention to detail, availability, and being an enjoyable conversation. Even on a couple of long days touring many homes with seemingly no progress, I left feeling like it was time well spent because she made the experience a good one. 3.) Knowledge. I nabbed my first home at a price slightly below market value, with eyes wide-open on anything that might need to be done before I first moved in. The negotiation process was smooth with the house I am in now, and any question I could come up with (there were a lot!) was answered thoroughly. Do yourself a favor. We sort of "happened upon" Jamie when a house we were interested in was being sold by one of her KW partners. Jamie stepped in to ensure that all discussions and negotiations would be fully above-board and advocating the best for both that client and for ourselves. When that particular house did not work out, Jamie was ready to go on the adventure with us to find another. Our requirements for our "forever home" were specific, and Jamie was supportive and patient and affirmed our plans and wishes for the purchase of a house to be the right fit. Jamie has rare qualities as a realtor: in NO way was she pushy, expectant, or hurried in our search. Additionally, she acknowledged and supported us as whole people during the search process--the feelings, weight, challenges, and excitement that go in the home buying process. While being fully comfortable sharing my thoughts, feelings, and reservations, I also found Jamie to be intelligent, savvy, and more than well informed on the aspects of owning, renting, fixing, and enjoying a home. Jamie is THE BEST! I contacted her a few months before listing my home because I needed a professional opinion. We had a long phone conversation about my home, my goals for selling, and my timeline. She was extremely knowledgeable and answered questions I didn't even know I had! She immediately scheduled a time to check out my house in person to make recommendations.
