The worst experience I've ever had with a realtor. I've dealt with bad service before, but this was…read moreon an entirely different level. They seemed completely unprepared, failed to advocate for their client, and appeared far more focused on getting a commission check than providing quality service. My closing was mishandled from start to finish, and I'm still dealing with issues related to it. The attorney they recommended made a major error and disbursed repair funds that were supposed to be withheld under a signed agreement. Those funds were sent to the seller, and I'm still fighting to get my money back. Communication was poor, follow-through was lacking, and there was little sense of urgency when problems arose. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for representation and avoiding the attorney they recommend as well. What should have been an exciting experience turned into a frustrating and costly mess.

During the past two years, since renting to our current tenants, maintenance issues have arisen, as they will with an older building. Our current representative, Lexi Black, has been very responsive to our tenants' notifications regarding maintenance needs. She has informed us in a timely manner, contacted vendors and apprised them of the situation, and had a bid ready by the time we have been able to respond to her notice to us. Recently, the heavy winds and rain in Georgia resulted in some lost shingles on our rental roof. Lexi arranged for a vendor to inspect the roof and provide a bid with a variety of replacement options, which she sent for our review and decision. I contacted the vendor and obtained the information I felt was necessary to make an informed decision. As the roof was nearing the end of its life, it was a relatively easy, necessary decision to replace the old shingles. When I called Lexi a few days later to inform her of our decision and inquire about payment, she told me the work had already been done and offered options for payment. Lexi did all the legwork for us; all I had to do was provide payment to the vendor. Of the property management representatives I have dealt with over the years (not only with Meybohm), Lexi is one of the two best. She has proven herself to be proactive, intuitive, and resourceful. My husband and I had never sold a home before, and we got reamed thanks to Re/Max. They didn't care about us(their clients!) in any way, all they wanted was the commission. I learned all I now know about selling a home from Google! Run from this agency and find one that will treat you as a valuable client, and person, and actually help you through the process. I'm sure there are some agents out there like that, but not at Re/Max Aiken!!
