There's always traffic in Norwalk so decided to stop for a snack…read more Just intended to get a beef patty and keep it moving but there were signs outside and the prices posted reasonable so ordered the jerk chicken wings.. they were definitely real grilled. They were tasty and had that slight kick of heat like real jerk does. Saw the fried chicken in the window and it looked so good. Tried a piece and that was good as well. And finally the beef patty, this was just what I was looking for! Customer service was on point and cant wait to go back for more. I want to try the oxtail, the goat, and the rice. This place hit the spot and brought me back to life!

I did this by saying "can I have two of the $5 Specials" While assembling the order, the woman behind the counter asked a couple of questions that sounded like standard options (rice, beans, sauce), and I said yes. There was no indication these would increase the price- or that what she was asking me was different than what I ordered. When she showed me the total, it was $37. I questioned it and repeated that I asked for the $5 specials, unsure of how confusion was even possible. Her attitude was rude, dismissive, and honestly uncomfortable. She seemed smug & happy with herself when she told me that the special was "jerk chicken rice - you got jerk chicken" **which I never asked for** At that point I was hungry and she wasn't worth the argument or energy, so I paid. Nothing on the menu reasonably adds up to what I was charged. What an absolutely psychotic experience. Food was ok at best.

**UPDATE: 10/12/2024**…read more I am mainly writing this update as I did not get to fully finish this review when I was first writing this, but in hindsight it was probably a good thing I did write an update to begin with. I now have a much clearer understanding what this place should get. But do note that everything I had said in my original review still stands. As ate I more of the Jerk Pork that I had ordered, it was clear to me which food item was keeping this afloat. Thankfully, this was the pork itself, the main part of the course. The vegetables I found you could have gone with or without, and the rice still wasn't really good at all. In fact, when the jerk seasoning from the pork seeped onto the rice, it kind of ruined the rice to be honest. As for the plantains, I can't complain about them, but I also do not have any high praise for them either. in conclusion, the pork was actually pretty tender and is the reason it doesn't get any lower of a rating. In fact, the pork alone almost brought this up to a 3, and this would be a 2 and a half if half-stars were a thing. However, it's not enough to look past the lack of display of business hours, the way the menu is displayed, and even though I did not catch the worst the customer service stories got, I still felt uneasiness from being served in here. It won't be my choice to go out of my way to come here again, but I am thankful to have visited this place once.

It was not spicy at all, which I believe caters more to the area where they are, it did have a decent flavor. But it was a little dry and like I mentioned above, it needed more seasoning. I did have this delivered through grub hub, in the evening time so maybe that's why. It did come fast, within 30 minutes. Also, even though I ordered through grub hub the price wasn't bad at $17.00 for a large. It was also advertised with plantains, but I didn't get them, not sure if that was an error on GrubHub though, since I didn't physically go in to the restaurant. I would give them another chance. Especially if they could add more seasoning and some type of sauce for extra flavor and to compensate for the dryness.

Was actually gonna leave because there was no sign outside the door but we ran into 2 other people looking for the same place so we were thinkin it must be good. We directed them down the hill and decided to park... Then we walked down the driveway/hill and saw the other ppl walking back up. We tried to enter but the door was locked so we walked to the back of that building and there was an open door. We started to walk in and with a nasty attitude the guy said "You cant come in that way" you have to use the other door. There was no one in there and the other door was locked. He went to open the front door but as we walked back around we just kept walking back up the hill to the car. Did it really matter which door we entered? He clearly didnt want our business and He wasn't really trying to make any $$$. He lost out on $money for 2 different couples just trying to eat out on a Monday night SMH

Look for the Marina's bar and restaurant We searched it out for a Friday lunch, found the door open and no lights on inside. No heat either Chef / Host Lewis gave us a verbal menu of what he could prepare and had on hand. He never did turn on the lights or the heat. My wife had the Vegan plate w a nice curry, plantains, brown rice medley and steamed mixed veg. I had the Oxtail stew and the same sides, but Mac & cheese instead of plantains Both dishes were great, huge portions and about $22 each. The curry was not too spicy nor my stew too hot. Overall, food good, atmosphere not. Lewis needs more signage and must find a decorator. Meantime, stick w DoorDash or takeout

Large bar area, a larger dining room great for private events (which they do a lot of) per our attentive waiter and a smaller dining area near the front window. My friend and I had 3 of their specialty cocktails while there which we enjoyed very much. We had the octopus with fingerling potatoes which was delicious; the octopus was very tender. We also had the mussels in a white wine broth, it was great. It was a good sized portion for two, but we almost ordered another as it was so delicious. It came with bread to soak up the yummy sauce. My friend had a decaf cappucino and the goat cheese flan since she didn't want anything too sweet. It was also great, the tangy cheese wasn't noticeable in it and kept the flan from being too sweet (personal preference). They had other flans and Dulce de Leche as well.
