I was afraid if I took her home, she would die alone, so I agreed to put her to sleep. I held her while he gave her a shot to let her relax, and she passed peacefully in my arms. It was so painful, but he was very kind and understanding as my husband and I cried for her. We had her cremated, and the hospital provided me with a lovely carved box containing her ashes with her name on a brass nameplate. He also made a donation in my name to a shelter. Dr King and his staffs did everything he could for my cat, and I will never forget his gentleness when he took care of her. He made a deeply painful situation a little more bearable. If I get another cat, I will definitely take them to Smith's Animal Hospital.

I can't say enough nice things about the staff here. Everyone we came into contact with along the way was very kind, from answering my millions of questions over the phone to when we arrived to pick up our baby. Our little dog had many puncture wounds on his back and was probably traumatized when he came in, but the staff treated him with kindness and compassion! I could tell as they talked about him that they knew exactly who he was, had interacted with him and truly cared. This veterinary office does a lot of work for rescues, and for that they have my utmost respect. I can't imagine seeing the things that they see every day and still remaining so pleasant and kind! The facilities are very clean, bright, and seem very well maintained. It felt "good" in there. Our bill was modest to say the least. We were really expecting to pay 3-4 times the amount we were charged for boarding and treatment of our dog. Thank you for taking such good care of our little Rally (FKA "Fluffy") until we were able to get him. We can't thank you enough :)

I strongly caution others regarding my experience with the veterinarian, Tonisia Browne. During my appointment, she repeatedly pressured me to give my dog a rabies vaccine, even after I explained multiple times that he was not due for the vaccination until August 25. When I declined the rabies vaccine at that time, she then attempted to withhold antibiotics that had been prescribed for my dog's skin issue. I found this behavior to be highly unprofessional and inappropriate. I had already submitted all of the vaccination records I had available and was waiting for the remaining 2025 records. I am fully aware of the laws and requirements regarding rabies vaccinations, and all of my pets are up to date on their vaccinations. The office manager who was present at the time stepped in, helped de-escalate the situation, and agreed to waive the $75 visit fee for that appointment. She also ensured that I received the necessary prescription for my dog. The following day, I spoke with the primary office manager. Unfortunately, she refused to formally address my concerns, declined my request for a written apology from the veterinarian and technician involved, and refused to file a formal complaint regarding the incident. Instead, I was essentially dismissed from the practice. I explained that I had no issues with the other veterinarians or technicians I had previously worked with at this office. However, I was told that because this veterinarian worked there, it would be impossible for me to avoid seeing her in the future. I found that response to be unacceptable and further demonstrated a lack of professionalism and concern for my experience as a client. Due to the way this situation was handled, I have also reported the veterinarian to the appropriate licensing board. I hope this matter is reviewed seriously, as clients should be able to trust that their concerns will be handled respectfully and professionally, especially when it involves the care of their pets.

It is surely smaller and not as updated, but you can tell they are in business because they adore animals. All of the staff were head over heels for my 5 year old Golden Retriever, Maine Coon Kitten and 2 month old Golden Puppy. I really felt welcome! I could tell they had cleaned and sanitized the room I went to and the wait time was non-existent. They were so friendly and took the time to talk with me about each pet. Bridget my 5 year old Golden has not had a vet check over her so well since she was 2 in Columbia, SC. I felt like they actually took the time to look her over and make sure she was healthy. Unlike my previous vet (which would've been pretty costly to bring in all three pets at once for a check up) this visit for all three pets was less than $200. Needless to say I will recommend this place for sure. One of the girls even helped me wrangle them all back to my car.

I have had several cats spayed or neutered there through the years. I have taken cats to the old location and the new location. Everyone that I have dealt with has been very professional and helpful. I've never had any problems with the surgeries or recovery times. I have multiple cats of my own and have rescued many cats to be adopted. They have been a blessing to me.

I had 2 meeting coming up and would not be available if I left a message After waiting about 10 minutes, I called again and someone answered. I heard "Hello" and that the call was being recorded. I asked if there were any grooming appointments available next week. The manager immediately responded by asking if I was the person who had just called multiple times. I said yes, and before I had a chance to explain that I was simply trying to get through to schedule an appointment, he told me that calling repeatedly was rude and that I would not be receiving any services from them. He then hung up on me. I was surprised by the response and attempted to call back twice to clarify that I was not trying to be rude, but my calls were not answered. Later, my wife called and spoke with the same manager. He stated that he was with a customer and that I should have known that repeatedly calling was rude. I had assumed this was a business line with multiple lines, but we later learned it is actually a cell phone, and I assume he doesn't know that you can silence them. My wife asked to have the owner contact her to discuss the situation, but more than a day later we have still not received a response. Based on this experience and the way the situation was handled, we will not be returning and unfortunately cannot recommend this business to others.

I couldn't be more than happy! When we came to pick up our dog, he was happy to see us but now that he's home, I think he wants to go back! I was lucky to be able to get a same day appointment to see Dr. Jenna Washburn for a new patient exam, she did a skin cytology, was able to provide my dog a cytopoint shot which is what he has been given in the past by his vet for this type of issue, since she saw some bacteria in his skin cytology she also provided us with some cefpodoxine medication for him. I can't thank her & her team for seeing us in short notice. This will make sure the rest of our trip is more enjoyable for everyone. My first impression of the establishment was plenty of parking, lots of open space outside for the dogs to pee, the waiting area was very clean, nicely decorated, & welcoming for your pets. They have a coffee station by the door, and I saw a restroom on my way into our op. Our op was very clean, private, with some pet information to read while you wait, the assistant was very friendly, and very attentive to my dog. Price is pretty much the same that we would've paid in FL. They do ask for a $50 deposit over the phone when making your appointment but it goes towards your bill. Again thank you to the great front desk staff, assistant, and Dr. Washburn for seeing us ! I highly recommend this vet for your pet. No such policy is disclosed in the business or on their website, nor did they give a verbal notification of this charge. Business manager emailed me and said the receptionist said there would be a late fee. That is not true. I would not have paid for a late fee and still be seen, especially after their technician disclosed to me that I was switched with their 3:00 patient because the other patient came in early and it all worked out well. Walked out paying $453.78 and still have not received my pet's prescription for her heartworm medication after notifying them multiple times. Front desk receptionists clearly covers for the office manager whom I have tried making an appointment with but only makes contact through email, and signs her name as Crystal, LVT with no last name. I'm curious how many other people are getting hit with hidden charges by this business. I am rating this with 1 star strictly for their unethical business tactics.
