£100 Wasted - Misleading Product Description and Appalling Customer Service
I would strongly advise people to think twice before purchasing from this company.
I paid approximately £100 for what was advertised as a memory foam cat bed, expecting a comfortable, supportive bed suitable for my 15-year-old cat, who suffers from age-related aches and pains. What arrived was completely different from the impression given by the website. The bedding was so hard that it felt more like wood than a comfortable, cushioned bed. It was entirely unsuitable for my cat, who refuses to use it.
Delivery also took longer than expected, and the bed was packaged so tightly that I had to wait several days for it to unfold and settle. On arrival, it almost appeared damaged.
When I contacted the company to explain that the product was not as described and was not fit for its intended purpose, I made it clear that I had retained the original packaging and was happy for them to arrange collection. I explained that I am disabled and that travelling to a post office to return a bulky item is extremely difficult for me. I even offered to donate the bed to a local animal charity rather than have it go to waste.
Their response? They refused to arrange collection and continued insisting that I return the item myself, despite my explaining that doing so was not realistically possible for me.
To make matters worse, their initial response was to offer me just £20-£30 towards purchasing something else from their website. Let that sink in: I had already spent around £100 on a product that bore little resemblance to the comfort and quality I had expected, and their first suggestion was that I spend even more money with them.
At no point did I feel that the company took proper responsibility for my concerns about the product or made a genuine effort to resolve the situation fairly. I was left feeling completely disregarded as a customer, particularly given the accessibility difficulties I had clearly explained.
The most disappointing part was not simply receiving an unsuitable product; it was the complete lack of a reasonable, practical solution when I raised the issue. A company selling pet beds should understand that comfort matters, especially when the intended user is an elderly animal with aches and pains.
I do not believe customers should have to struggle to resolve a problem like this after spending a substantial amount of money. Nor should a customer who has explained a disability be left feeling that their circumstances have simply been ignored.
I would not purchase from this company again, and I certainly would not recommend it to others. Based on my experience, I would urge prospective customers to exercise caution and carefully consider whether the products will genuinely match the descriptions and expectations created by the website.
Save yourself the frustration and disappointment. I spent around £100 on a bed my cat cannot use and was left fighting for a sensible resolution. This experience has completely destroyed my confidence in this company. read more
