She cost me over $2000 because she felt a foreign object in my dog's stomach. Not only was there no mass I drove to Greenville SC to get this diagnosis at a pet hospital that supposedly took my insurance suggested by this vet. They do not accept my insurance and had to come up with money to pay this bill. Let's talk about the INSURANCE she pushes. Trupanion. Supposedly pays the Vet or Hospital directly so no out if pocket expense. Good luck. Not only does she not support that but neither do the hospitals so be prepared to pay out of pocket and wait 4-8 weeks for reimbursement. She also pushes Purina dog chow....total crap! She told me it was advantageous to do an X-ray and bloodwork at her place because it would cost less however they repeated the X-ray when the didn't feel anything at the hospital. If you love your pet do not take them here. They never have time to see your dog and when they do they try and send you to MedVet which charges $1000 for an X-ray which I just found out she actually can do herself. That is another story in itself. Wonder what kick backs this vet gets!! Bottom line AVOID!!!

The best recommendation I can give is that Dr. Young and his staff focus on your pet and their health from the minute you walk in the door. Meg

Compassionate, Knowledgeable, and One of a Kind Care : Thank You, Dr. McMillan and Pinnacle Animal…read moreHospital I truly cannot express my gratitude enough for Dr. McMillan and the entire team at Pinnacle Animal Hospital. When we moved to the area over 10 years ago, he immediately earned our trust by taking such tender, thoughtful care of our senior pets. When it came time to say goodbye to them, the compassion and empathy he and his staff showed us will stay with us forever. Last year, we experienced the heartbreaking loss of our 2 1/2 year old Doberman. Dr. McMillan once again went above and beyond, guiding us with care, taking time with us, and helping us through the grief. To this day, they still talk about him. That kind of connection and remembrance is something you cannot put a price on. Dr. McMillan is not just a vet. He is a caregiver who truly knows his patients and their humans. He remembers names, answers every question without rushing, calls personally with updates, and ensures we are always prepared, especially when traveling with our pets. For him, it is never about the money. It is about the life, comfort, and longevity of the animals he treats. There are plenty of veterinarians closer to where we live, but we gladly drive over 35 minutes each way to see Dr. McMillan. We simply would not trust our pets with anyone else. We are so thankful for him and his amazing team.

I'm incredibly grateful for the care my cat received at SAVES…read more I brought my cat from another emergency practice in Tennessee that was closing overnight, as I felt he needed monitoring at a 24-hour hospital due to a urinary obstruction. I called ahead, confirmed that his records had been sent, and when I arrived, they were already expecting us. I spoke with the doctor right away (Dr. Wedig), who clearly explained the treatment options and the need for hospitalization and extended catheter placement. I was extremely distraught at the time, and the entire team met that energy with compassion and calm reassurance. I also shared my concern about avoiding opioid sedatives due to a suspected link to the obstruction, and they were very open and respectful of that discussion. During his two-and-a-half-day hospitalization, I received daily calls from the doctor. When I called for updates myself, I was always able to get timely and helpful information. My cat was released promptly once appropriate, and I'm deeply thankful for the care that helped him recover. I hope I won't need emergency care again, but if I do, I would not hesitate to return here.

We were referred to SAVES for a specific procedure for our dog. That is all we came for. Instead,…read morethe visit was treated as an emergency, and we were strongly encouraged to approve additional diagnostics, an overnight hospitalization, and STAT testing. The way things were presented caused a lot of panic for us, and we felt pressured to agree to services we believe our dog did not need totaling over 2k. When we raised our concerns afterward, the response felt dismissive and condescending, and the hospital declined to offer any refund or compensation. We also learned our conversations during the visit were recorded. Everything in my gut told me to take my dog home that day. I wish I had listened. If you are referred here for any procedure, I would encourage you to ask exactly what type of visit it is, what you will be charged, and whether you are being treated as an emergency patient before agreeing to anything.
