Their facility is always clean and well organized with ample space and air conditioned areas for the dogs to come in out of the heat - a must in my opinion in South Carolina. The owners are compassionate people who truly love animals and our dogs seem to know it. From our pet's first stay at Primrose Acres, they have loved going to "Camp". This was a complete turnaround from their stays at other kennels in the past and we were delighted. When we tell our dogs, time to go to camp, they leap into our car and when we arrive they want to rush straight into their great friends. Linda always greets them by name with a big hello! My husband and I have adopted "rescued" dogs. We currently have four dogs and each has its unique special needs. One dog is blind, another has three legs, Jake, our hundred pound shepherd mix has fear issues and we have a 14 year old border collie mix that has a heart condition and is on medication. The dogs are treated so lovingly by these compassionate ladies and they are so genuinely caring. One weeknight, quite late, we got a phone call that our infant grandson was deathly ill. We contacted the kennel to see when we could bring our dogs in so we could leave immediately on the 10 hour drive to reach our son and our grandson. We left a message explaining our emergency but did not expect to hear back until morning. Despite the late hour, Linda returned our call that night, offered to open her kennel and take the dogs right then (it was nearly midnight) and gave us her home phone in case of any future emergencies. We appreciate Primrose Acres and the great job they do and enthusiastically recommend this facility without reservation.

(for once a day)I called the kennel to check on her during her stay and they told me that she was doing great and hadn't needed her medication. I called the manger to find out what happened with her medication since I was told she didn't need it and was doing great and was a super sweet girl. The manager told me that there was a mix up with her stuff and her medication never got stored properly, so she was given her medication with EVERY meal. The managers resolution was she spoke to the employee , which was new, and offered to pay for more sedation medican (which is super cheap) . I was also advised to give the medication up front to the people at the desk , which I tried to do in the first place . When I dropped my beloved dog off the people at the front were too busy talking about improvements to actual talk to to me

I don't know why I haven't stopped here in such a long time! I love pets of all kinds especially dogs and puppies and cats and kittens! Well; I didn't see any of those but I did see the cutest guinea pigs; rabbits, not so cute mice; finches; and parakeets! All looked lively and playful and happy! The person attending this place was very nice to me. I informed her that I was just looking around and that I was just curious. There aren't many animals more adorable than pet rabbits and guinea pigs. In years gone by I've owned both. But as a word of caution to potential rabbit and guinea pig buyers: Both of these animals are high maintenance! And I'm not referring to money. They produce waste very rapidly! I'm not going to get more graphic than that but I hope you understand my meaning! I read the previous Yelp reviews and they are not very flattering! I can only report on my visit and I didn't see anything that would warrant a negative review! Based on what I saw and experienced today; I can and do recommend this place to the public!

I picked him up & he was insanely out of it, could barely keep his eyes open & I had to help him get into the car. If he was stressed/not handling boarding well they should have just called me & I would have picked him up & figured something else out. They had no idea what his medical history was (besides vaccine records) & medicated him without permission, I am insanely lucky that he was fine after whatever it was passed through his system, but they are going to kill a beloved pet doing this kind of bs. I love supporting local businesses, but this one needs to be shut down.
