Had a teacher taking kids into the bathroom to spank their them and would leave them in the room until they finished crying, had multiple instances where dropping my child off becomes some back and forth with the office people while my kid is basically running around the room unattended due to their lack of competent people able to work in their facilities. Never had a day where my kid was good today always had something to say about behavior and disciplinaries that should be followed at home, yet upon return home I notice none of the feedback the teachers give me or other parents. most staff will watch your kids outside of the building for cheaper as well so what's the point of the facility when I have an employee come cut my grapes for my son at home yet the facility can't cut grapes, provide the safety for my child let alone look after them. I am typing this up as a frustrated parent in concern that there needs to be entire overhaul of their curriculums, as well as replacing majority of the staff with people capable and sensible of not only working with our children but also able to work cohesively as a team and make proactive contributions to the lives of our children by inspiring and instructing them, Not being upset at the parents for not providing the necessities that should have already been provided. read more

My son is very strong willed, lol as I think a lot of 5 year olds are. This is his first experience at school, and I have to say I am happy so far. The struggle is very real, to get a child that is attached to mom in the door to drop them off any where and all the staff have been so helpful and understanding. When my son comes home from school he is always happy, talks about all the things he learned and all the friends, and all social aspects (who the line leader was that day, who blew a fit, who got to do housekeeping). I think it is awesome they pick a topic every month, ex. In The Trees. So that month they learn about whats in the trees. ex. All About Me. So that month they talk and learn more about themselves. I walked into creative world when we moved here two years ago, and every place else around here was not as warm, or fun looking enough for my son. I really appreciate the staff and how they have treated my family. Things that are neat * Fingerprints to get in and out of school #greatsecurity *Ground rules for the school's expectations from the parents and kids, which is great to keep your child safe. * Awesome app to communicate with school, and you even get pictures of what they did in their activities. Emails and reminders! *hand washing *fun events *utilizing paint, sand, foam, to do letters *name writing *They get homework *show and tell *playground and outside activities *dancing *birthday celebrations They come up with really awesome ideas how to teach, I would of never thought of having my son shape letters in paint or foam. or attaching paper to fence to have them paint outside, and draw outside. Please do not send your child here! My 3-year-old went to this school here for a little over a month before they expelled him for "getting in kids personal space" then refused to call me to explain further. In my short time there I had so many issues I didn't even fight them on this expulsion. My son has never eaten meat before in his entire life because it goes against our beliefs. His first week there they fed him chicken at lunch after ensuring me multiple times they had a vegetarian menu. I After the first week, Deb the supervisor there called me and told me my son was being expelled for biting a teacher. She was so cold and condescending on the call and would not accept any explanation. I was shocked because my son had just turned 3, he never had a biting problem he has been in daycare since he was 6 months old. I threatened to write a review on my experience and the owner, Rupa immediately called, and she assured me that my son was not expelled, and they wanted him to return to school. I asked if the normal procedure was to expel him, and she said no that if it becomes a problem they would ask him to stay home for a week. I agreed to bring him back because there are not many daycares with availability, and I need to work. Fast forward a couple of weeks later we had been really speaking to our son about not biting and following up with the directors to make sure he was not having any issues and they assured me he was not biting anymore. Then I get a phone call from the other supervisor and she tells us our son is expelled this time for not understanding "personal space" I was confused and asked if he was being violent and she said, "no just getting in kids' faces". HE JUST TURNED 3! I called the owner to try to get a better explanation, but no one ever returned any of my messages or calls. The entire time we were there we never saw or spoke to his actual teacher all communication was done with the directors. I am left confused and appalled at how people who are so rude, heartless, and condescending are able to work with children. No children are perfect but at the age of 3, a teacher's job should be to redirect bad behavior. My son has now found a new daycare that truly cares about him and has never had any issues. Honestly, I dislike that I even have to write this. But here's my story... after only 2 WEEKS at a brand new school, in a brand new environment my 3 year old son was pretty much kicked out because he "needed more help". You mean to tell me a school that is receiving $200 a week, doesn't have the resources to help a 3 year old adapt and adjust to a new environment. I am sick to my stomach about this!!!! And I truly hope no other parent has to go through this. My son was born 6 weeks early, he in-fact was a preemie, so I believe that may be part of the reason his speech is a little delayed but he does know the basics! I am just not understanding how a director of a school (for kids) can be so nonchalant and heartless. I am glad I dodged this bullet before it became too late! We love bringing our daughter here and would recommend it to any other parent(s). The staff are friendly, fun, and helpful for all of our needs. We are regularly updated with emailed pictures of the special activities that the kids participate in. They keep the kids on their toes with many different activities and events throughout the year. She is always happy here and talks about her friends she makes all of the time. An important balance of fun and learning is what I feel our daughter enjoys the most, and we love the peace of mind. I felt welcome and connected from the moment I first reached out. The manager, Deborah, personally Zoom called me on my time during a stressful move to show me around the school. She told me to call her on her personal cell any time, day night or weekend, with questions when I was ready to sign up. The pricing was amazing and the school is adorable and clean and very secure. My then 2, now 3 year old son had a hard time adjusting to the move and they were so understanding and helpful. He became fully potty trained within a couple weeks there and his teacher, Ms. Daisy, Zoom called with me and gave me tips to help him potty train at home as well (he was refusing to go outside of school). He has always been bright, but he has learned SO many new songs and phrases and numbers and letter sounds and speaks in complete sentences. He is so independent now and I fully credit the school. I also love the daily updates on his activities with pictures. Unfortunately, due to a change in my job, I am having to move locations, and I'm so disappointed that there isn't a Creative World near where I'll be now. I was warned by neighbors to stay away from this school (specifically Rivercrest location, because I know the Fishhawk location is excellent). Instead of listening as I should have, I decided to create my own opinions and give it a try. We had our daughter here for a total of one month. In week two, I asked them why my daughter kept coming home burned on her face when I signed papers and brought in a brand new bottle of sunscreen to be applied every day before outdoor play. When I asked about it, the teacher was unaware that I even had sunscreen there for my daughter and not even the manager could locate it! They finally found it a day or two later, and still failed to apply some days. In week three, my daughter came home smelling strongly of urine. I asked her if she had an accident at school, because she was clearly completely dry when she got home. She informed me that she DID pee herself when they were outside on the playground earlier that day because she told her teacher she had to potty and she wouldn't take her inside to go. After peeing herself, instead of changing her into the clothing that I provided for her, she came home in soiled clothes that she must have been in for quite some time. I was shocked and of course notified them immediately. The next day, the manager came up to me to discuss what had happened, and smiling the ENTIRE time and acting as if it was no big deal, never once apologized. In fact, she made it sound as if my daughter didn't do enough to voice her needs and that it wasn't their fault at all. I was just looking for a sorry and an "it will never happen again" but that never came. I immediately went home that day to submit our two weeks notice of leaving the daycare. For the next week and a half, the manager and owner were excessively trying to assure me things were ok there, but all it did was push me away more. They would follow me closely when I would pick up my child every day and I just wanted to be left alone. I decided to just see how things would go for the next two weeks, and my child was somewhat better taken care of and given the attention she deserved besides another few days of no sunscreen. I told the manager we were then reconsidering staying since I felt things were getting slightly better. I still had concern that things would just go back to how they were after we decided to stay. Week 4- I never could have seen this coming. The same day I told the manager we were re-considering our decision to leave, my daughter was pinched by her teacher for playing with a toy. I assume it was out of frustration. When I say pinch, I don't mean lightly pinch to get her attention. I mean full on, layer of skin missing, bruise for days pinch. NO child deserves this! They told me every day for four weeks how sweet and well behaved my baby was. How dare they think it's ok to lay hands on her and HURT her! Once again, notifying the manager immediately, she acted if it was as not big deal and that her teachers all denied it so it must be my child making things up. We took matters into our own hands at this point and contacted police to file a report. Conveniently, this daycare loops camera feed so there will never be any sort of real evidence for any child ever to get abused there, because video footage is not saved. What happened to my daughter was physically and emotionally devastating and shocking, but again not one time did management or the owner say SORRY. Or show any sort of sympathy. They brushed it off saying that this kind of thing happens often and basically there is no proof so nothing will be done. Not one sorry. Not one "this will never happen again." After all this, I am facing trust issues as is my daughter with daycares and we are now trying to build new relationships with new strangers at a new school. I feel so guilty for not listening to my neighbors and allowing my daughter to attend this daycare only to be mistreated. Create your own opinions, but do it with mine and others' experiences in mind. Not all of the teachers there are this way. We met some amazing teachers, including Ms. Ashley and Ms. Marsha. I would say although we had this issue with one specific teacher, the real issue is with management. read more

I trusted this daycare with my daughter until the teacher pinched my daughter on her arm when she came home with a red mark on her arm I was furious my husband and I went back to the daycare before they closed to show her arm to the office lady and "there wasn't anything they could do about it" I wanted to confront the teach MS RUBY SPANISH LADY but they wouldn't let me! Needless to say we paid all that money to ensure our kids are properly taken care of and then this happens I never brought her back there again! God only know who other kids she has done this too, my only mistake was I should of call the police. You do not put your hands on anyone's child PERIOD! We have been with Creative World for over 4'years now and have had nothing but great experiences. We have never come across a teacher we didn't like nor a teacher who wasn't wonderful to our daughters. I'm writing this because I need everyone to know what the manager Debra did to us. Please read this entire message. We have twins they are now 23 months, for almost two years they have been part of another creative world in a different part of town. Im pretty happy with the way thing were going there until my boy decided he wanted to bite everyone else. They were rrally good and worked with us, but ultimately we decided it was time for him to take a break and we were able to place him at another daycare for a few months. He completely changed, no more biting other kids. So I decided to buy a house and what do you know this creative world is minutes away so of course I called paid the fee , talked to the manager .. everything was ready for our babies to start, we even visit them and explained the issues he was having. We didn't lie about anything, about his issues about his behavior. Today I received a called from her saying he is not welcome to be part of the daycare because she's not willing to work with his issues, that she doesn't want to deal with him. First of all Debra who that f.. do you think you are to label my kid and say he's problematic. You do not know him, you have never worked with him .. you say you have 8 years of experience so what that doesn't give you the right to talk about my child. I have you know and it's not because he's my child but he's smart, caring, loving, sweet , he loves his sister ..adores animals.. loves the outdoors. One day with him and you re hooked for life. My 9 year old attended Creative World and now my 3 year old has been there since she was an infant. We have had a good experience with teachers and administrators. My 3 year old loves it. She likes her teachers and is always happy when I pick her up. I don't feel any person or establishment is perfect. Looking for child care for your child is one of the most difficult things you will have to do as a parent. You want to make sure ALL of the ins and outs are well put together, staff members are professional and trained, and there is Great leadership. On my adventure of looking for child care I finally found a preschool that not only fits my child needs but my needs as well. Creative World School Rivercrest on Symmes Road is great.
