She constantly had to defend herself from bullies, which left her anxious and withdrawn. During this time, she developed night terrors and behavior issues she had never experienced before. The atmosphere did not feel nurturing. Some teachers seemed disengaged, and my daughter was even fearful of certain staff members. On one occasion, while we were at the pool next door, a regular visitor mentioned that they frequently heard teachers yelling at children inappropriately. That was very unsettling to hear as a parent. The facility itself also felt lacking--children don't have adequate cubby space, and there are odd, inconsistent rules that don't make sense. The front office staff were often dismissive and unapproachable, which made communication very frustrating. I regret not removing my daughter sooner. Once we switched her to a different daycare, all of her issues disappeared within weeks--she began sleeping through the night again, her behavior improved, and she was once more her happy, confident self. Every child deserves to feel safe, cared for, and supported at daycare. Unfortunately, that was not our experience at Child's Haven.

I was told that the daycare professional had 25 children to watch and she didn't notice what was happening. Took me over an hour to fix my daughter's hair, and even before I started she had already lost lots of hair due to the daycare panic to try and remove the knot. I'm finally going to seek attorney advice, I should have before. Mt advise..look for another daycare if you want your child to be looked after.

I called this location and was told there was availability. I didn't want to risk losing the spot so I told the director I would like to tour and put a deposit down. I couldn't find any reviews online or on FB so I asked a local community page for reviews. Three prev employees direct messaged me and shared why they didn't believe I should trust the peacocks plume for care. I was shocked when one told me 'the teachers know where the blind spots are for cameras' and shared a couple incidents where children have been left outside accidentally, there have been physical altercations, and more. There were also 2 parents I spoke with. Apparently, even in the Florida heat - kids don't get offered water through out the day? That's just crazy. When I called peacocks plume to rescind my application due to neg reviews I've seen, she didn't seem to mind. Just to hold a spot you have to pay 150$ - no refunds. Never had a day where my kid was good today always had something to say about behavior and disciplinaries that should be followed at home, yet upon return home I notice none of the feedback the teachers give me or other parents. most staff will watch your kids outside of the building for cheaper as well so what's the point of the facility when I have an employee come cut my grapes for my son at home yet the facility can't cut grapes, provide the safety for my child let alone look after them. I am typing this up as a frustrated parent in concern that there needs to be entire overhaul of their curriculums, as well as replacing majority of the staff with people capable and sensible of not only working with our children but also able to work cohesively as a team and make proactive contributions to the lives of our children by inspiring and instructing them, Not being upset at the parents for not providing the necessities that should have already been provided.

You're supposed to use a key fob to get in, but he was able to get in without it. He walked straight back to the infant room & just said he was there for our daughter by name and they gave her to him no questions asked, even though they had never seen him before. Luckily it was her last day there. The teachers were alright at most. I'd usually pick my daughter up hungry and needing to be changed which was very inconvenient.

There are key coded gates at both entrances. Each parent gets their own specific code so the Director can access who is coming into the Center and what times. The teacher student ratio is excellent, and all of the teachers are certified and do continued training. During Covid and after the issues with children not feeling well or exhibiting signs colds/flu/virus were very strict as they should be. I had no problem at that time, yes it could be stressful to find other forms of care but the health of the staff and children came first. The coming summer program is full of great adventures, and my kids are looking forward to it. They have weekly themes also during the school year. I really like this place, it is faith based which is something I really appreciate. You can call and set up a walk thru to see what great things are going on.

They are very warming and understandable I would consider them more of a family than a daycare. My daughter started kindergarten this year and I was told that she is very advanced for her age in fact all my kids were when they started kindergarten and I believe it's because COI gave our children the tools needed to succeed.

There is a parent portal and even a curriculum portal. It is wonderful to have this type of transparency with the care of my child. Payments are weekly along with a small (compared to others) annual fee. They have a secure door (with pass code) with the door handle up high so the little ones cannot accidentally get out. Food and snacks are included in cost. They have great family events as well! We are excited to continue care for our son here for as long as possible.
