When I moved into my home, the previous owner put Norman brand estate/plantation shutters in the kitchen and living room, but left the other 7 windows in the house blinds. I saved up for a bunch of different house projects, with matching the shutters being one of them. Creative window coverings is one of only 3 listed Norman brand contractors in orange County, from the Norman brand website. And I wanted Norman brand specifically with the invisible tilt to match the shutters that were already there. I got quotes from all 3 people (window design group, budget blinds, and creative window coverings). I'll just say the other 2 companies were way more expensive. My cousin used to work in the window/shutter industry and he said creative window coverings price was fair, and the other companies essentially ripping me off profit wise. Creative window coverings sent Rai out to my home. He was very straightforward, honest, and gave me a lot of options and things to think about. Very knowledgeable. The other companies, one guy was in and out and didn't explain anything to me (tilt options, waterproof options for bathroom, how many panels I could choose, etc) and the other felt way too much of a sales pitch. I liked Rai the most. I went forward. Paid half the deposit. Paid the other half after the job was done. Installation was trouble free, easy, and no headaches. My house is a mess right now and they were able to still do their thing no problem. Had a great experience. Knowledgeable, friendly, very competitive and fair pricing, and I felt trustworthy that I wasn't getting ripped off and taken advantage of. Love my shutters. This review is long overdue. When we renovated our house, we threw away the nasty old outdated curtains. So I needed my master bedroom curtains done from wall to wall and custom drapery for my dining room with high ceiling. After receiving 4 different quotes from Costco, a high end designer, an interior designer, and Loft curtains online for DIY with outrageous prices, I turned to yelp. I found Creative Window Covering by chance and gave them a call. Mr. Rai came over and measured our windows and gave us a quote on the spot. He was very patient and not pushy. His prices are very reasonable. It was so reasonable that I was a little scared to go with him at first. We are so glad that we took a chance with him because we love our new custom drapery! Mr. Rai came out twice to talk to us when we were choosing the fabric because my husband couldn't make it the first time. Choosing curtains is a very daunting task because there are so much to consider...fabric, fabric color, the type of tracks, the style of the tracks, the type of curtain fold, etc. On top of that, my husband and I had to agree on those choices too. Ladies, you know how stressful that could be! Mr. Rai patiently gave us his honest professional opinion without rushing us. He made the process so much easier. The installation day went smoothly. They were efficient and cleaned up after themselves. Mr. Rai came personally to install ours with one of his employees. He was very meticulous in straightening every fold of the curtain. You can tell that he really takes pride in his work! Not only does he do excellent work on the curtains, his customer service was top notch. I was in the last trimester of my pregnancy when we ordered the curtains, so I mentioned that I really wanted to have to curtains done before the baby was born. Mr. Rai was able to accommodate that even though it was a few weeks earlier than his normal lead time. In addition to that, a few months after the installation, I looked up and noticed that our curtain did not close all the way. I texted Mr. Rai and he came over to fix it for us. Customer service like this is truly hard to find these days! If you are looking for affordable window coverings of any sort with awesome customer service, I highly recommend this business! First of all I appreciate someone who calls me back promptly and Rai did the very same day. I booked an appt for him to come to my house on 2/6/23 and again very punctual. Rai had many sample books for me to look at. I was replacing the pinch pleader curtains and sheets in my front room and replacing blinds in the other room. He showed up late at 9:50, drove up the driveway and knocked down a wheel barrel full of brick while trying to make a turn.(not to mention he had plenty of room, it's a 12+ car driveway) He messed up the planter and then took off without saying anything. This review is overdue, but here it is. We obtained three estimates for window coverings, for a combination of both blinds and shutters for approximately forty windows. We called a high-end outfit in Los Alamitos and then 3-day Blinds (which we thought would be more reasonably priced). There were some quality issues with the first company and their price was over $12K. The second company was about the same price, however with the second company, my wife and I both felt that we were getting the new car add on up-selling (I'm giving you 30 % off, but I'll call my manager to see if he can release any further discounts). I then called Creative Window Coverings (CWC) in Buena Park (714-739-2801) after getting their referral from a friend. It turned out that CWC uses the same brand as the other companies, however their price was about half as much as both other companies. The owner, Rai came out and did the exact measurements the first time and gave us the estimate. We decided to go with him and we were not disappointed at all. The blinds and the shutters were made and installed in just a few weeks time and the quality is outstanding. The gentlemen that did the actual installation knows his business and really did an outstanding job. We could not be more pleased with the quality of the product, and the time frame in which it all took place.
