The thing that really stood out for us was the gluten-free options, which goes well beyond the usual salad and grilled chicken: cauliflower crust pizza, quesadillas on a gluten-free tortilla, risotto, and shrimp and grits, plus the meats, salads, and sides that are gluten-free anyway. You don't see that many real options on one menu very often. If you eat gluten-free, put it on your list; if you don't, the food and wine are reason enough to go.

Established in 1767, the mill is still operating today, which makes it feel like more than just a tourist stop. When we entered, a woman greeted us and explained how the mill works. After that, we headed into the shop, where they had all kinds of flours and baking mixes. I was impressed by how reasonable the prices were and ended up buying a few different flours to try at home. It was a simple but really enjoyable stop, and I'm glad we took the time to visit.

They have fresh tamales here occasionally, so we are sure to grab some when we're lucky enough. They also have fresh cornbread almost always available. Beside the meat department is a tall selection of various sweet breads. We have tried them all, and you can not go wrong no matter what you choose. Additionally, they have a well stocked, large selection of Hispanic groceries and some vegetables. Beside them and connected with a doorway in a shared wall is a Mexican restaurant.
