I went to Creative Nails and Waxing, and Lily did my gel manicure, deluxe gel pedicure, and full facial waxing (brows, chin, sideburns, etc.). I have PCOS, which causes thicker and faster hair growth, and my skin had become irritated from shaving and plucking. Lily was incredibly thorough and patient . she took her time with every detail, even working carefully on the stubborn, shorter hairs that are hard to remove. I could tell she truly cared about doing a great job and making sure I left happy. I chose the color Berry Spice (#408 i think?) for my nails .. it turned out a beautiful, apple-red shade that I love! My toenails still look flawless, and even after a lot of kitchen work, my manicure stayed strong and shiny. Great quality gel and even better service. Thank you, Lily, for your time, care, and amazing work! I'll definitely be returning ..and next time, I'll remember to take photos. read more

If you want a regular pedicure that takes over an hour to do and comes out crooked, this is definitely the salon for you! My nails were already pretty short and would have done just fine by only being filed, but the nail tech trimmed them and filed them and then trimmed them again later on! This was totally nerve-wracking. She made so many mistakes with the polish it took her over 5 minutes just cleaning them afterwards. And when she did, her long nails dug into my skin. I have definitely never experienced this before. She also burned me with the hot water when rinsing off my calves. It took her one hour 15 minutes until she finally put the top coat on. Ridiculous! This salon also has absolutely terrible ventilation. Throughout my whole appointment the fumes from acrylic was SO strong, it made me feel tired and woozy. Many of their polishes are very old and need to be replaced. I was overall not impressed and I won't be returning. read more

I've been in twice and am planning another trip tomorrow. They are thorough, kind, gentle and I love my nails after! I've gotten a pedi twice and am going in for a full set tomorrow. I've read the reviews and I don't agree with the negativity. I like the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. "Is this normal?" Well, yes and no. I was desperate for a pedicure and after calling around to three other local nail salons, I finally found found space for two here. My fellow client has had limited experience in nail salons, so I was explaining various parts of the process along the way. Hence the question above. This salon wasn't on par with other nail salons in my home area in terms of customer service or quality of the pedicure. They offer two types of pedicures, standard or deluxe. When we first arrived and I asked how much the pedicure would cost (not noticing the prices posted on the wall), I was told $35. This was the price of the deluxe version. The intentionally, or not, didn't mention the $25 option. Overall the best way I can describe the experience is chaotic. From the general state of disorder in the salon to the rotating cast of employees providing the service, it wasn't a relaxing visit. For example, we had to purchase nail kits ($2) because we didn't bring our own, but the kit was handed to the wrong customer at the end of service and the other one must have been discarded. Aside from the issues above, one of my biggest pet peeves in salons is when they constantly try to upsell services. After the initial request to have standard pedicures, they came back multiple times trying to get us to choose the deluxe version for another $10, as well as other services like eyebrow waxing. Next time I need a pedicure in Redmond, I think I'll be a little more patient or book ahead at another salon. read more

Worst pedicure and even worse experience. Made an appt for 2:30. Arrived and checked in. Waited in a chaotic entry and watched them take in 3 walk ins in front of me, despite my polite asking if they had forgotten about me. Seated in a chair at 2:55. The nail tech suggested I get a "spa" pedicure, which I thought meant I would receive a leg and foot massage & paraffin treatment. Apparently, what I had signed up for was having my feet coated completely in potassium hydroxide, a callous dissolving corrosive chemical and then filed with a large cheese grater. Ouch. My feet then were returned to the Luke warm foot bath prior to then being placed in a plastic bag. The tech then went to get a cup of hot paraffin and pored it directly onto my ankles bilaterally. Again, ouch. She then walked away and I attempted to massage the paraffin to cover my feet and toes. When she returned she then skipped the nail bed prep and pre-coat and put two sloppy coats of polish on my feet. She then got another tech to draw a flower on my big toe. At least I think it is supposed to be a flower. She also did not put the rhinestone that I paid for in the flower. I asked her about the rhinestone, prior to the top coat. She told me she put it there. It is not there. Total cost $42. Total time in nail factory: 1hr 35 min. Process: first painful pedicure ever. Result: not good. Really not good. See pic. Judge for yourself. Also, the soles of my feet feel burned. If this was the last place to get a pedicure on earth, I would never go there again. If 0 stars were an option- they would get 0 stars. read more

Creative Nails & Waxing - 8/18/12. You decide. - Nail Salons Near Me - Redmond, Oregon

This was a Christmas gift from my family to me. I called to make an appointment and was pleasantly surprised to find an opening at that moment. Based on the previous yelp review, I went for it. Wow was that a mistake. The technician's station had not been cleaned. His own hands and nails were dirty making me very uncomfortable. I should have left but didn't. The end result was blocky, thick nails. I'm sorry I cannot recommend this salon. read more

Awful. The lady was not paying attention, was watching a show on her phone. My acrylics were filed down all uneven and somehow they were not white but like a murky beige color?! I left the salon and went directly to Sally's to try and get something to fix them. Not much could be done with them. Don't waste your money here. read more

My friend and I just went in to have pedicures done. I did a deluxe with gel and was in & out in 40 minutes. Not only did we feel rushed and uncomfortable, the quality is something I could have done by myself at home. The coats of paint are not even & definitely not worth $60. Trust the reviews when you see a place has a 3.3 on google and a 1.5 on Yelp. read more

I should have gone with my first instinct and not gone here based on the reviews here. I called a place that had good reviews and they didn't have any availability and they referred me to Creative nails. We were in town for a wedding and this place was busy so I took that as a good sign. My mother in law and I both got pedicures and the massage and parafin and all of that was fabulous, but the polish job was horrific. I am pretty sure my 9 year old could have painted my toes better. The sides weren't done on a few so there is a polish strip. The polish isn't even and is bumpy and on my skin. Of course I didn't actually look at the polish because I enjoyed the rest of the treatment so much I decided to do a shellac manicure which I have had many times and they last 3 weeks. Seriously within 2 hours I had one nail have the polish literally fall off my nail. I've never seen that before. I should have just forked over the money and gotten them done at the resort we were staying at because now I have to pay to have them redone when I get home. Don't go here. read more

I debated between 2-3 stars. I really wanted to like this salon because it is in a convenient location for me, but it is just ok. The prices are good and the staff was friendly, but the quality was lacking. I don't like shape of my nails after the manicure and I left with shellac on my fingers and Palm. Also, a word to the wise for people wanting to have acrylic nails taken off, don't do it at this salon. I was expecting them to dissolve the bonds and remove the fake nails, but instead they broke down the corners of my natural nail, wedged a plastic piece in between, and pulled the acrylic nail off. This was extremely uncomfortable. If I had known, I would have soaked them in acetone and taken them off myself. UPDATE: after getting over the annoyance of the visit, I'm actually fine with how my nails look. The shape could be better, but it still looks nice. I do wish they had more color choices for shellac, because I would like to give them another visit to give a fair rating. read more

I will never come again, as much as I wanted a positive experience I literally can't think of one good out come. All I needed was a fill for almond nails and it didn't even need shellac bc the powder was colored and I kept getting layers after layers which was time consuming and to make it worst she was watching NETFLIX while doing my nails!!! And she kept leaving then crooked and I had to ask multiple times to fix it and she rolled her eyes and gave me the file to fix them and I asked for a design and it look soooo bad that I'm lucky it's almost Halloween season so I can say it's supposed to look that way! I'm sure she charged me for a full set too! Honestly go anywhere else read more

Wow! My friend and I spontaneously decided to get pedicures on vacation.....no easy task! Many shops were either closed or had no availability. After calling 10 places, we settled for this salon despite the low reviews. You may wait a bit, but we have never experienced such thorough treatment! Ended up having to go here for a pedi because everywhere else in Redmond was packed. Had an appointment for a regular pedi--nothing fancy-- it took someone an hour to paint my toes and they looked like a 2 year old had painted them. Then, after an hour and 15 min, she took all the polish off (I had said nothing. You could tell she knew she was doing a horrible job) and someone else came over and painted them AGAIN in about 2 minutes. This time it looked like a middle schooler had painted them-- slightly more in the lines but polish still everywhere. Then when I went to check out they OVER CHARGED ME! Would not recommend going here even if it's the last place available in Redmond. read more

Nail techs are friendly, however their receptionist is not! I have never been pushed out of a nail saloon before. Really NOT good! I had both manicure and pedicure. I wish I had read the reviews before going in! It was just a convenient location! My pedicure was fine, done by a man with glasses, thank you for being gentle with my injured and swollen foot! The acrylic fill by the very thin young woman was horrible! She hurt me a couple of times, the white tips are crooked, nails thick, and they are now peeling up on the edges! She just moved here from Portland, she's not new at the occupation! There is no reason to hurt customers. The owner (? a male) was there counting money, he should have done that privately. The entire culture/attitude was lousey, negative! I felt like customers were being treated like cattle with prods! Too bad, great location for me. Warning, read the reviews before going in! I won't go back! read more

My husband and I were in town for a vacation and after a week of tramping around in the dry heat we decided to get pedicures. I called about a half hour before we got there to make sure they accept walk-ins. They were very friendly on the phone and let me know that getting the two of us in wouldn't be a problem. Completely different story once we got there! I'm used to having to wait when walking into a nail salon instead of having an appointment so it wasn't the wait we had issue with. The problem is that we checked in with the receptionist and said we both wanted pedicures. She kinda nodded at us before walking away. There were several empty pedi chairs available and within a few minutes they were filled with the people who were there ahead of us - no biggie. There were two chairs left when a mother and daughter walked in after we had been sitting there 5-10 minutes. They didn't have an appointment either and were automatically asked to sit in the two empty pedi chairs! The receptionist never told anyone we were waiting for pedicures as well. We decided that we were going to leave and go somewhere else, as customer service is important to us. When we got out to the car one of the nail technicians who had been working on someone else came running out after us. She apologized for taking other people ahead of us since we had been waiting and said that they were taken to the chairs by mistake but that the chairs were ready for us now and asked us to come back in. Apparently the receptionist had decided to fill her in. We appreciated the effort she made so went back in however there was only one open chair available. The other women who had been taken before us were still sitting in the chairs, though not being worked on yet. I had been told to pic out a nail color by the women who came out after us so I did. Once I picked out the color one of the nail technicians went to another lady who came after us as well and asked her to sit in the only empty chair - again completely ignoring us. We decided to sit down and wait for a few minutes to see if we would be given an update on how long it would be but after another five minutes of being ignored by all the staff, including the women who ran after us, we just decided to leave. The only reason the came out after us was to make sure all their waiting chairs were full, not to right a wrong. The atmosphere was chaotic and the staff quickly pushed people out the door without a system to track who was coming in to ensure people were served in order. We decided to just wait until we go back home - by far this is the worst customer experience I have ever had at a nail salon. read more

I went there with a couple friends for my birthday present and before it barely was started I was cut deep kn my second toe... ouch! It wouldn't stop bleeding by the time they got it handled my 2 friends were done and I feel like I was jipped, they put a flower on my nail for free, bug didn't give me any money off or a coupon to come get another one when it healed.... she genuinely felt bad but not bad enough to make up for it. Hopefully I don't develops a staph infection! read more

This place is ridiculous!!! I will spread the word to everyone and let them know to not step foot in this supposedly place that they call a salon. I have been here three times which was my mistake because all three times I have been disappointed and not sure why I went back. Don't bother complaining to the owner the male or female because they will just argue with you and tell you how you are wrong. I walked in on this particular time and I got no hello? Or how may I help you? All they do is stare at you and expect you to talk. I asked to get my eyebrows done and they told me it would be five to ten minutes so I sat down. The owner told me to come sit on the chair where they do eyebrows right in the front of the salon in front of everyone so I did. Before she could even start I told her specifically, "I am only here to get a clean up do not touch anything else!" She kept on tweezing and I said, "I hope ur not touching anything I don't want" she replied by saying, "no, I know what I am doing" finally she showed me what she did and I was completely horrified. She made my brows so skinny and got up and said, "I told you I didn't want you to touch anything". At that point she raised her voice and talking over me. At no point did I raise my voice at all. I was so upset and she could see it. She told me not to pay and I looked at her and said why would I pay you $10 when you have messed up my eyebrows and it is going to take me over 3 months to grow them back. I guess it's a lesson learned for me since I gave them three chances. The sad part is I told her I have been there three times and not been happy with my eyebrows and she kept on coming up with excuses. If there were no stars available that is what I would give it but yelp makes you give one star at least. read more

I can't even explain how horrible this place was... My girlfriend and I were trying to just get a mani and pedi. We spent 15 min in here and had to leave. we paid $27 to get our feet put in a noisy chair and not get our toe nails clipped or even our cuticles pushed back. It was just horrific. They didn't even have toilet paper in the bathroom. Anyway don't go here!!! I didn't want to put a star but I had too. read more
