I went to Creative Nails and Waxing, and Lily did my gel manicure, deluxe gel pedicure, and full facial waxing (brows, chin, sideburns, etc.). I have PCOS, which causes thicker and faster hair growth, and my skin had become irritated from shaving and plucking. Lily was incredibly thorough and patient . she took her time with every detail, even working carefully on the stubborn, shorter hairs that are hard to remove. I could tell she truly cared about doing a great job and making sure I left happy. I chose the color Berry Spice (#408 i think?) for my nails .. it turned out a beautiful, apple-red shade that I love! My toenails still look flawless, and even after a lot of kitchen work, my manicure stayed strong and shiny. Great quality gel and even better service. If you want a regular pedicure that takes over an hour to do and comes out crooked, this is definitely the salon for you! My nails were already pretty short and would have done just fine by only being filed, but the nail tech trimmed them and filed them and then trimmed them again later on! This was totally nerve-wracking. She made so many mistakes with the polish it took her over 5 minutes just cleaning them afterwards. And when she did, her long nails dug into my skin. I have definitely never experienced this before. She also burned me with the hot water when rinsing off my calves. It took her one hour 15 minutes until she finally put the top coat on. Ridiculous! This salon also has absolutely terrible ventilation. Throughout my whole appointment the fumes from acrylic was SO strong, it made me feel tired and woozy. "Is this normal?" Well, yes and no. I was desperate for a pedicure and after calling around to three other local nail salons, I finally found found space for two here. My fellow client has had limited experience in nail salons, so I was explaining various parts of the process along the way. Hence the question above. This salon wasn't on par with other nail salons in my home area in terms of customer service or quality of the pedicure. They offer two types of pedicures, standard or deluxe. When we first arrived and I asked how much the pedicure would cost (not noticing the prices posted on the wall), I was told $35. This was the price of the deluxe version. The intentionally, or not, didn't mention the $25 option. Overall the best way I can describe the experience is chaotic. From the general state of disorder in the salon to the rotating cast of employees providing the service, it wasn't a relaxing visit. For example, we had to purchase nail kits ($2) because we didn't bring our own, but the kit was handed to the wrong customer at the end of service and the other one must have been discarded. Aside from the issues above, one of my biggest pet peeves in salons is when they constantly try to upsell services. After the initial request to have standard pedicures, they came back multiple times trying to get us to choose the deluxe version for another $10, as well as other services like eyebrow waxing. Next time I need a pedicure in Redmond, I think I'll be a little more patient or book ahead at another salon. read more

I debated between 2-3 stars. I really wanted to like this salon because it is in a convenient location for me, but it is just ok. The prices are good and the staff was friendly, but the quality was lacking. I don't like shape of my nails after the manicure and I left with shellac on my fingers and Palm. Also, a word to the wise for people wanting to have acrylic nails taken off, don't do it at this salon. I was expecting them to dissolve the bonds and remove the fake nails, but instead they broke down the corners of my natural nail, wedged a plastic piece in between, and pulled the acrylic nail off. This was extremely uncomfortable. If I had known, I would have soaked them in acetone and taken them off myself. UPDATE: after getting over the annoyance of the visit, I'm actually fine with how my nails look. The shape could be better, but it still looks nice. I will never come again, as much as I wanted a positive experience I literally can't think of one good out come. All I needed was a fill for almond nails and it didn't even need shellac bc the powder was colored and I kept getting layers after layers which was time consuming and to make it worst she was watching NETFLIX while doing my nails!!! Worst pedicure and even worse experience. Made an appt for 2:30. Arrived and checked in. Waited in a chaotic entry and watched them take in 3 walk ins in front of me, despite my polite asking if they had forgotten about me. Seated in a chair at 2:55. The nail tech suggested I get a "spa" pedicure, which I thought meant I would receive a leg and foot massage & paraffin treatment. Apparently, what I had signed up for was having my feet coated completely in potassium hydroxide, a callous dissolving corrosive chemical and then filed with a large cheese grater. Ouch. My feet then were returned to the Luke warm foot bath prior to then being placed in a plastic bag. The tech then went to get a cup of hot paraffin and pored it directly onto my ankles bilaterally. Again, ouch. She then walked away and I attempted to massage the paraffin to cover my feet and toes. When she returned she then skipped the nail bed prep and pre-coat and put two sloppy coats of polish on my feet. She then got another tech to draw a flower on my big toe. At least I think it is supposed to be a flower. She also did not put the rhinestone that I paid for in the flower. I asked her about the rhinestone, prior to the top coat. She told me she put it there. It is not there. Total cost $42. Total time in nail factory: 1hr 35 min. Process: first painful pedicure ever. Result: not good. Really not good. See pic. Judge for yourself. Also, the soles of my feet feel burned. If this was the last place to get a pedicure on earth, I would never go there again. I called a place that had good reviews and they didn't have any availability and they referred me to Creative nails. We were in town for a wedding and this place was busy so I took that as a good sign. My mother in law and I both got pedicures and the massage and parafin and all of that was fabulous, but the polish job was horrific. I am pretty sure my 9 year old could have painted my toes better. The sides weren't done on a few so there is a polish strip. The polish isn't even and is bumpy and on my skin. Of course I didn't actually look at the polish because I enjoyed the rest of the treatment so much I decided to do a shellac manicure which I have had many times and they last 3 weeks. Seriously within 2 hours I had one nail have the polish literally fall off my nail. I've never seen that before. Had an appointment for a regular pedi--nothing fancy-- it took someone an hour to paint my toes and they looked like a 2 year old had painted them. My pedicure was fine, done by a man with glasses, thank you for being gentle with my injured and swollen foot! The acrylic fill by the very thin young woman was horrible! She hurt me a couple of times, the white tips are crooked, nails thick, and they are now peeling up on the edges! She just moved here from Portland, she's not new at the occupation! My husband and I were in town for a vacation and after a week of tramping around in the dry heat we decided to get pedicures. I called about a half hour before we got there to make sure they accept walk-ins. They were very friendly on the phone and let me know that getting the two of us in wouldn't be a problem. Completely different story once we got there! I'm used to having to wait when walking into a nail salon instead of having an appointment so it wasn't the wait we had issue with. The problem is that we checked in with the receptionist and said we both wanted pedicures. She kinda nodded at us before walking away. There were several empty pedi chairs available and within a few minutes they were filled with the people who were there ahead of us - no biggie. There were two chairs left when a mother and daughter walked in after we had been sitting there 5-10 minutes. They didn't have an appointment either and were automatically asked to sit in the two empty pedi chairs! The receptionist never told anyone we were waiting for pedicures as well. We decided that we were going to leave and go somewhere else, as customer service is important to us. When we got out to the car one of the nail technicians who had been working on someone else came running out after us. She apologized for taking other people ahead of us since we had been waiting and said that they were taken to the chairs by mistake but that the chairs were ready for us now and asked us to come back in. Apparently the receptionist had decided to fill her in. We appreciated the effort she made so went back in however there was only one open chair available. The other women who had been taken before us were still sitting in the chairs, though not being worked on yet. I had been told to pic out a nail color by the women who came out after us so I did. Once I picked out the color one of the nail technicians went to another lady who came after us as well and asked her to sit in the only empty chair - again completely ignoring us. We decided to sit down and wait for a few minutes to see if we would be given an update on how long it would be but after another five minutes of being ignored by all the staff, including the women who ran after us, we just decided to leave. The only reason the came out after us was to make sure all their waiting chairs were full, not to right a wrong. The atmosphere was chaotic and the staff quickly pushed people out the door without a system to track who was coming in to ensure people were served in order. We decided to just wait until we go back home - by far this is the worst customer experience I have ever had at a nail salon. read more

It wouldn't stop bleeding by the time they got it handled my 2 friends were done and I feel like I was jipped, they put a flower on my nail for free, bug didn't give me any money off or a coupon to come get another one when it healed.... she genuinely felt bad but not bad enough to make up for it.
