This competition was a scavenger hunt where ten couples competed to win a $50,000 wedding. Taylor & Hov worked together to have their favorite vendors contribute their services. To our shock and surprise, WE WON! Following our win, Taylor & Hov designed and executed the perfect wedding for us. Not only did it provide us the opportunity to work with some of the best vendors in DC, but Taylor & Hov's creative talents far exceeded our expectations. When we first started our wedding planning, we had only a vague idea of what we wanted. Despite this, Sugar was able to create an event which really spoke to our personalities. We spoke to her about our mutual love of music, and she found a way to incorporate this into every aspect of the day, with programs made of records and place settings created out of cassette tapes. Moreover, during our highest stress moments, Sugar and Nar saved the day with their eagerness to help with both large and small details, from changing the venue at the last minute to putting together a signature cocktail that our guests still won't stop talking about. As I got closer, I realized it was a lovely floral display of a rose tree and 2 white cherry blossom trees. I fell in love instantly! I spoke to the representative from Dalissa and found out they rent and deliver all types of items for weddings, parties, or any type of function. I checked out their website and saw they had everything from fancy chairs and tables to floral arches and special event items. I made contact and decided to rent the rose bush and cherry blossom trees. The delivery went seamlessly and so did the pick-up. My guests were blown away at the look and feel it gave the room. I'm extremely happy that I decided to rent these items, they went with my theme and they looked so real and elegant. I initially thought about making my own arch, but this was so cost effective and it was taken back afterwards, so I didn't need to figure out what I was going to do with it after. Plus, who can beat a set-up, delivery, and pick-up without me having to lift a finger. I will absolutely use this company in the future for any party rentals I may require.

To me, based on the LACK of communication and LACK of responses and LACK of professionalism from management office outside of the owner, quotes & rental prices are too high to even want to deal with this business. So last minute I was running around trying to find a chair for the mother to be to sit in for the…read moreshower. I found this place and they had a very reasonable price for a peacock chair, it was perfect. So I was able to get a friend with a SUV to come with me to this party rental place (they do not deliver items to your destination you are responsible for everything). At first no one was answering the phone at the rental but I kept calling because it was the day of the baby shower and I had no other choice. We get there and was talking to the owner Jeremy and the manager. Jeremy offered us Dunkin' Donuts while he was assisting another customer. We asked to see the chair because I was mainly afraid it wouldn't fit inside the SUV. So the manager told us it wouldn't fit and if it did he would give us a dollar each because he has done this before. So we knew we had to try since this was my last chance. He grabbed the chair and Jeremy, my friend and I watched as the chair fit like a glove right in the car. It was perfect! We were obviously happy! We also got our dollar each, lol which was actually funny! Jeremey processed our payment and of course yelp came through and offered 5% off for our first rental! It was great & worked out perfectly!! The chair was great and the mother-to-be loved it. The chair did not come with the cushion so we had to improvise and had our own, but it was perfect and made the room look even better!! When I found Superlative Events, I never looked back. He ships them to me and they're always on time and come with a return label. The price is affordable. I can adjust the lighting to any shade of any color unlike other up lights that are either one color or another. There is a color wheel on the remote that you can finesse the shade of the color. And then with a couple of taps of the remote, then you can make them into dance floor lighting. They are superb and Brian is fabulous to work with and a very nice man. I highly recommend this company. I have been using them for numerous years now. I do events every weekend and so I have a lot of opportunity to work with these lights and I'm always receiving compliments at how wonderful the room looks and the dance floor after dinner dancing looks!

Other units like American DJ, etc. are just the color but not the shade of the color. Brian always ships them on time and it comes with a return label and after my party, the next day, I just drop them off at the nearest UPS. Easy! And unlike most brides, I got to enjoy my dinner which was fabulous, because I knew Heidi was making sure everything was going smoothly. And to top it off-- she even brought some leftover soy candles (she hates waste) for free and had them lit on the tables and around the room so it all looked stunning as the sun set. She helped with every detail and was so caring during the event, most people thought she was a relative. There were a couple of potential snafus that could have happened (not her fault at all, it was something to do with the building) and she said, "don't worry, I got this." And she did. Everyone told me how much they loved the space, the food, and the whole vibe of the reception. Heidi is a big reason why.
