Always a smile when heading into Creative Kids

My now 4 year old has been attending Creative Kids on Farm Road for 3 years now. She absolutely LOVES all of the staff. I personally haven't experienced any problems, even during COVID. The only downside I've noticed is the turn over rate of staff in all positions. They are great with calling and communicating if your child gets hurt, even the most minor scrapes and bumps. In the beginning they were not this good so I appreciate them stepping up! They recently started a program where you can access your child's classroom camera which I think is super cool! I see how much my daughter enjoys her time there and how much she loves multiple teachers and staff and that makes it so much easier to drop my baby off. Thank you Creative Kids staff for being great!

If you are looking for a daycare this is the place for you. However, if you are looking for your child to a structured curriculum I would look elsewhere. My children went there for nearly 2 years. Every teacher is different but they are only there part of the day. So if you drop off prior to 830am, your child will have a different teacher, then be moved into homeroom and then be moved into another class or with a different teacher for the end of the day. Because of the constant switching you never really know how your child is doing. No report cards or progress notes are sent home with children under 4. Only when your child is in Pre-K will you get a progress note (2 times, for the year). You will only be made aware of any incidents if your child is injured by another child or has injured another child or is ill and needs to go home. About 50% of the time when you walk in someone will be at the front, the rest of the time the front desk will be unmanned. Also don't expect them to greet you as you walk in to check your child in or out on the kiosk. My parents picked up the kids on multiple occasions and she felt that it was a very unfriendly environment and she would need help locating the kids because they wouldn't be in the correct classroom and they would send her to multiple rooms before she could locate them. When you drop off and pick up there will be little to no acknowledgment with the teachers. They also ask you to bring a change of clothes and place it in a bin with your child's name. You will be lucky if the name gets placed on the bin at all. Then when they move classrooms you are told not to move the clothes and they will do it. This last switch when the kids were moved into their new classrooms for the year, their clothes could not be located for 3 weeks. Not all of the teachers are kind. If your child has a hard time listening be prepared for them to be yelled at and then in turn ignored when they walk into the classroom in the morning without any acknowledgement from the teachers. If your child is quite and follows direction be prepared for them to be overlook and they will just slip by. I have a kindergarten now (who went there for 2 years) and she still couldn't identify all the letters of the alphabet and didn't know any of the sounds. I have a Pre-K child who cannot hold a pencil, cannot count to 10 and cannot identify any letters of the alphabet. Also if you do plan on going to this school be prepared for your family photos and child's photo to be displayed long after they leave. I walked into a classroom my child hadn't been in for 6 months and was graduated and moved to kindergarten and our family photos were still on the wall, sun faded and all. My other child worked on a journal for several months, I saw it every now and then on the counter and would flip through it but it was never sent home not even after the last day of school. I brought my concerns to the staff and director. In the past 3 months my pre-k student had not brought 1 piece of homework or artwork home. Finally on Monday, he had a handprint. I brought this to the directors attention saying he finally has a piece to take home. She responded, "See I told you it would be better." I was stunned and speechless. Yes, please go ahead and only do actual work after I call you out for that, see how it works out for you. I have been in contact will the regional manager and she did state it shouldn't have been like that. And before I get shammed for not doing my part with my children's education, I paid for this preschool, I put my trust in them that they would help teach my child the basics and in the 2 years they were unable to do so. They never go over what your child is learning in class or what they should know. I also was battling cancer and assumed that they were teaching my children what they would need to know to go into kindergarten, which was not the case. I've attached the artwork he brought home. I don't agree with this artwork at all.

DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE…read more My son had attended this school for many years and unfortunately the last 2 years we saw a rapid decline in care, communication and conditions of the school. Teachers constantly left, communication between teachers and directors was seldom to none, constant bullying of my son, lack of resources provided and sending my child home to develop mystery illnesses. I had my child sent home with a black eye and was told none of the teachers knew how he got it, was told cameras were reviewed but was later informed I was just told that, and no review of the cameras were done. My child had suffered from bullying from the children, one child told my child that he was going to "have your family killed" and then the child continued to attend the school. Not to mention my child would constantly come home complaining that kids were teasing him and not wanting to play with him and when he told the teachers no one did anything to help resolve the bullying issues. We had been told my child had until 2pm left at the school and would not be allowed to return. This was told to us by a director who called me, requested I leave work early and have a meeting with her the same day, when I arrived she was unavailable for the meeting. I had requested to speak to another person and had discussed my concerns for the second time that my child might be on the spectrum. The lack of communication and choses made by the directors was outright appalling. We had several "teachers" leave or were generally uninterested in teaching or couldn't be bothered to help the kids learn very much needed social-emotional skills. My child was constantly moved around classrooms due to lack of staffing, where there would be one "teacher" with 20-30 kids ranging from ages 2-8 most days. I had also expressed several times that my child does not take naps and asked to make a reasonable accommodation to let him read/draw at nap time to not disturb the other children as well as proving a heads up to the entire class when transitions to another activity would occur as pre-k aged children require to have bridges between activities. They refused to accommodate us multiple times which resulted in full blow meltdowns leaving me to pick my child up almost twice a week and most the time with bruises on his arm from being grabbed. Finally, they had a non-compliance with SNHD as multiple children were attending without proper vaccinations after being audited. Unfortunately over time the quality of service, conditions, carefulness and overall experience with this school rapidly declined. Please do better Source.

My daughter started out in early preschool and then with in with in a few months was moved into preschool. They worked hard and with me to be on the same page as her development and potty training . They have an excellent system for keeping parents updated on all things relating to your child . Cameras in all rooms , well working app for daily updates and photos . They answer all calls , requests for paperwork and questions in exceptional time . Parents are welcomed and encouraged to stop in and check on their little one . They have parent teacher conferences and many chances to inter act with teachers and staff . My daughter absolutely loves her school , friends and teachers . Very affordable rates and offer subsidies to those that qualify and a very welcomed military discount . Over all a very clean and well ran facility. It feels like a second home for your child than it does a place of just business. They love and care for the children as they are their own . Many staff have their own children in care there as well . We have been attending since June , they have added a few new faces but the staff has pretty much just stayed the same , seems to be very low turn over . My daughter is over joyed every day to go and sad to leave . I highly recommend if you're looking for a place for your child . They will not disappoint you .

Taken from my google review 8 months ago…read more ----------------------------------------------------------------------- It took me several months to provide a review but I wanted to do so after some time of my experiences with Creme de la Creme. The first few months were great due to the teacher we had for our child. When new management and the closing of another facility took place, it went horribly wrong. The lack of training of new teachers is evident and the lack of communication between staff is awful. You could feel the tension in the air as you walked in between the staff and management. Several incidents took place and that's when I had it enough with this institution. First, we had asked repeatedly for months to not move our child until a suitable teacher we requested was available. (Mind you, we requested 4 times.) It was ignored and our child was moved. Upon picking up our child, they had no idea what classroom he was put in nor had any record written anywhere. When they finally found my child, he was confused / scared of their new surroundings. I was beyond upset and scared for my child to put in a situation where we had asked for months to not do so. Next, our child had an bathroom accident and apparently unable to change him. I was never contacted or left a message of the incident. Upon arriving, my child was there watching a tv show with no pants/half naked in wet underwear. I asked the teacher why wasn't I notified, response was, "We told the director." Director was unaware and brushed off the incident as a lack of communication between the management staff and teaching staff. Finally, kids are kids, I get that. But when another child bites your kid more than once, it is unacceptable. I was assured the first time it would will not happen again and the other child would be closely watched to ensure it would not happen again. Another two incidents took place. And believe me, I was beyond not having it. If you're looking for a responsible business/staff to take care of your child in environment that is safe for them to learn... This is not the place. It is expensive for a service that could potentially harm your child. There are far more better & acceptable places to go than this place.

Whether it has to do with education or healthcare (both of which were significantly better in Orange County). I enrolled my child at Shenker after talking to all the parents I would meet at the park in my neighborhood who would sing the school's praises. I am happy to say, Shenker lived up to my expectations. My child does not speak English as his primary language, and I was worried about how that would affect him. Also if I might add, I would get unsolicited comments from other educators concerning my refusal to speak English to my child at home. I am an educator ( I have a Masters in education and another Masters in school counseling) and I knew he would pick up English just as I did. Upon meeting with Dr. Sharon, he agreed with my approach concerning my son learning two languages, and put me at ease. My son has greatly improved academically and socially at Shenker. He is so happy to go to school, and everyone in the front office knows his name, as they do with ALL the students that attend their school.
