They advised us on the removal of a very large Black Birch tree on our property that was developing a very deep pit at its base that was holding water. There was a fear of it falling on the house or cars. Additionally, they trimmed and pruned three very overgrown Honey Locusts and shaped and pruned our wonderful Red Maple. Lastly, they shaped a Mulberry tree and removed a Pine that had grown inside the Mulberry. It was a very big job. Sven and Jake were pleasant, amenable, and professional. They cleaned the spaces as much as possoble. I strongly endorse Tree Lion Tree Services!

We first contacted Tree Lion through Yelp after a tree fell and affected multiple neighboring…read moreproperties. Initially, they indicated they could come out on Saturday, July 4, but the estimate was ultimately confirmed for Sunday, July 5, between 11:00 am & 12:00 p.m. I was coordinating the appointment on behalf of a loved one. Because the property owner doesn't live at the affected house, they traveled from another part of the city and rearranged their schedule specifically to meet the estimator. We also learned that the neighboring property we initially believed the tree had fallen from is vacant, making it even more important to determine responsibility and move the process forward. Unfortunately, no one arrived for the scheduled appointment, and there was no phone call, text, or Yelp message to let us know they were running late or needed to reschedule. We understand that delays and emergencies happen, but a simple courtesy message would have been appreciated. The lack of communication wasted people's time and delayed addressing a situation affecting multiple properties. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend a company that confirms an appointment and then fails to show up or communicate with the customer.

I had to finally tell them to stop. Their attempt at remediation was to put them down some top soil and grass seed. No straw, not enough top soil, not enough care. Everything got washed away the next time it rained. The ruts remain and were bare until weeds grew in. I called them repeatedly to fix the lawn and they have ignored my phone calls and attempts to contact them online. I was quoted $2500 to fix the lawn. I was getting tired of every time a breeze came through I would have to spend hours picking up broken sticks. Over the winter a large branch fell off one and lodged itself about two feet in the ground. So, enough putting it off, time to have the trees removed. I reached out to a few companies for quotes, Clauser wasn't even on my radar until my neighbors had them do some work. I called and Steve came out, we walked the property and before he left I had a quote. The quote was significantly more affordable than my previous quotes. I actually called him a few days later just to clarify...could it really be this good? When the team came out, they did very good. I was expecting my yard to be torn up (as I mentioned just one branch falling over the winter caused serious damage). I could barely tell they had been there when they left. Aside from very minimal turf damage, they raked everything up. I have more trees that need to go, they're not an immediate danger right now but will be. When that time comes I won't even waste my time calling someone else. It will be Clauser.
