I Won't recommend this business. They're way too overpriced! I was looking for a plumber to check…read moreout and fix my garbage disposal system. They were responsive and scheduled an appointment promptly for a "free estimate". The plumber was at my home as scheduled to check out my system, but before he would do anything, he told me that I have to pay $460 (plus tax) for labor, and if the disposal system needs to be replaced, it will cost me at least $750 (plus tax). He said he could only go as low as $300 (plus tax), after checking with his supervisor. I thought it's overpriced so since my issue wasn't urgent , I declined to have it fixed. I found a local plumber, who didn't charge for an inspection and charged me a total of $450 including labor to replace the broken system with a new garbage disposal system. Customers should beware of Plumbing services who claim to have free estimates on site but would charge desperate customers exorbitantly, especially if the plumbing issue needs to be fixed urgently!

Along with it, the entire back of…read moreour house melted down to the plywood, all windows melted, back door and storm door melted, deck damaged, fence burnt, half of a nearby shed burnt, light fixtures, gutters, soffits, 2 cars, 3 motorcycles and all garage contents with 40 years of tools and equipment all lost. Eastern Diversified Services swooped in to the rescue to clean up all the mess left from the fire. They fixed all the damage: replaced the fence, ripped out burnt shrubberies, removed a HUGE giant 300+ year old oak tree, repaired and re-sided the shed, replaced all the siding, windows and doors, repaired the deck, and completely rebuilt the garage from the foundation up. They even replaced the gravel in the driveway that was damaged from all the heavy equipment that was needed for this job. Yes, it took 10 1/2 months to complete all of this, but considering the COVID pandemic and supply-chain issues, that is perfectly reasonable. Their crews (so many, I lost track!) were all totally professional, efficient, thorough, incredibly hard-working and skillful! They were even friendly to my yappy dog who wanted to "greet" them every time a crew showed up to work that day. I very much appreciate their courtesy and attention to detail. Their boss, Mark Guinther, was always on top of everything going on and kept us informed all along the way with the status of what was to happen next, permits he was securing for all the work, arranging for 3rd parties when needed and hiring an excellent engineer to do the blueprints for the new garage. Even the office staff was top-notch with communications with our insurance company and mortgage company with all the financial details involved. Thank you so very much, EDS for a job well done!

The plumber who showed up was courteous and knowledgeable. The plumber even hung around after 10 pm just to make sure there were no issues with the repair. The reason for 4 star instead of 5 is that the leak was due to failed solder at an elbow. For some reason, their trucks are not stocked with solder rods and by the time he assessed the situation, it was too late to go to a hardware store. He ended up replacing the copper elbow, which cost a lot more money, incurred more logistics with shutting off water to the boiler, draining the line, re-pressurizing the system, and had him stay at the house for over 2 hrs when it could have been completed in 15 minutes by sweating new solder onto the pipe elbow.

Then refused to put the fixtures back, leaving me without a working bathroom at all - which was working before they came. The lead guy named "Jake" was very smart mouthed and made comments about the neighborhood which if that was an issue, he should have never taken the job and my money. AND NOW I was told by other contractors that Roto Rooter pitched the toilet drain so high above the joists that the elbow has to be totally removed. Also, that the drain pipes for the bathroom sink is too low in one area and too high in another. Furthermore, that they left the kitchen drain pipe without a "trap". Roto Rooter promised to come back if there were issues, saying I needed to repair the joists first. Since then, I've had four professional structural engineers from various companies tell me they cannot repair the floors or re-install the fixtures because of the shoddy work Roto Rooter did. When I did call Roto Rooter and spoke to the manager "Frank" he said he would get back to me to make arrangements to come out to look at the work and then ghosted me - never coming out at all. Because of this and that they refused to honor their promise I am stuck with plumbing that I would have to hire another plumber to UN-DO / remove, after paying Roto Rooter in full to do this. I was advised to sue them by various contractors over this and am stuck! THEY WERE AND EPIC FAIL ON THIS JOB!!
