I had seven ash trees that were dead. Some have been dead long before I bought my house and a few just recently died. I was getting tired of every time a breeze came through I would have to spend hours picking up broken sticks. Over the winter a large branch fell off one and lodged itself about two feet in the ground. So, enough putting it off, time to have the trees removed. I reached out to a few companies for quotes, Clauser wasn't even on my radar until my neighbors had them do some work. I called and Steve came out, we walked the property and before he left I had a quote. The quote was significantly more affordable than my previous quotes. I actually called him a few days later just to clarify...could it really be this good? When the team came out, they did very good. I was expecting my yard to be torn up (as I mentioned just one branch falling over the winter caused serious damage). I could barely tell they had been there when they left. Aside from very minimal turf damage, they raked everything up. I have more trees that need to go, they're not an immediate danger right now but will be. We had what I believe was a small tornado go through our area. All of my neighbors within a quarter mile lost trees, some of which damaged homes or garages. While our structures were not damaged, we lost eight 40 ft trees. A number of tree service companies canvassed our area soliciting customers. I called Clauser's and received estimates from some of the other tree service companies that contacted me. Clauser's estimate was the lowest by far. It was actually one-quarter the high estimate. It was thousands of dollars difference for the same work. Not only did he do the work as scheduled, I couldn't be happier with the results. They removed the trees, stumps, and also the branches. Other than where the stumps were ground, you wouldn't have known the trees were there. They cleaned up the yard better than I expected. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

Other tree companies do not return calls. If it a small job like money, they must figure it's not we worth it. What they do not know is that we have another property with tons of trees. Anyway, these guys are as ll about the customer. They have discounts for Vets, they are polite, they do a great job and they clean up afterwards. Very upbeat and totally professional. read more

I've been using Clauser for years to treat my trees for spotted lantern flies. Today the cut down 3 big trees - 1 in front near power lines, another on the side of the house and a third in the back. Phenomenal! Love this company! The arborist was at a neighbors looking at trees and I called him over for "just a second". Even with his day scheduled, he came over, listened, explained and gave me a great estimate for a large maple tree to be taken down. Very fair price. A week later I decided to add another tree (large pine) to the work order. Another great interaction. On the day of work, the workers came at the appointed time. I was told why the pine tree died, which I appreciated, now knowing it wasn't due to location, sun, soil, etc. The work was done quickly. They were polite and left the property better than when they arrived. The office was incredible to deal with, always upbeat and such a pleasure to interact with. Our township is requiring us to remove a tree. I contacted three companies for estimates on 6/17/19. Clauser Tree Care completed an estimate (dated 7/27/19) and stuck it in the support post of our mailbox from which it fell into the street below (found on 7/1/19). It wasn't the greatest first impression but the estimate was $250 less expensive for one less service (we would have to remove the stump grindings ourselves). Based on the positive online reviews and less expensive price, we called to accept the Clauser Tree care proposal on 7/10/19. We were told a scheduler would call us sometime in the next 10-14 days to book an appointment for removal. I recommended the company to two neighbors. One signed up to use them for another job. The other has the estimate completed. I called on 7/23/19 to confirm our job was still on the waiting list for scheduling. I was told all was on track. On 7/26/19, Clauser office staff called to inform me a mistake was made. Two different workers completed estimates at our property in June (one was done per Upper Dublin Township request, the other based on our request). I was told the estimate price I received was incorrect. She was very apologetic and took full verbal responsibility for the error. I was told they did not realize two estimates were in the system for the same address because someone misspelled my last name on the other proposal. (despite the location being the exact same and the services apparently being performed in the same week). I explained the agreed upon price given in late June and agreed upon in early July should be the cost to my family, as it was their mistake AND the reason I chose to use their company/recommended them to others. I received another call on 7/29/19 telling me the owner stated he would NOT provide services at the price quoted. When I reiterated my dissatisfaction with their customer service (not timely, prices vary based on appraiser, not willing to stand by estimate given, inaccurate record entry), I received a follow-up call from the owner. Steve offered "to work with me" by coming to perform a third estimate himself, confirming in advance it would not be for the price already quoted. Over five weeks have passed since I first called. They gave me an apology. They failed to provide the tree work requested at the price given to me in writing. Steve, the owner, asked that I share the full story - including the township's request for an estimate. I think that makes the company look worse - not sure if an estimate listed on paper would mean much when they arrive at your doorstep (a second look may lead to a second more costly appraisal regardless of the price quoted). If not, one would think they would honor the estimate given to me. read more

A JOB WELL DONE!! Steve, the owner provided an itemized quote at a fair price. The crew arrived on time, we reviewed the work order (which they clearly had read before arriving) and they got to work. The backyard is fenced and they worked well with the small gate opening. The crew worked safely and efficiently. They gathered all debris that landed over the fence and into the neighbors yard. We just received the best firewood delivery of the last 5 years! We've used different providers over the years and received the array of disappointments: less than a full 2 cords delivered, lots of dirt/dust, all huge cuts that are hard to load through a woodstove door, lengths greater than 18 inches, not seasoned enough, etc. Just last month (Aug 2016), we received 2 cords of wood from Clauser and it was clean, split, truly seasoned, competitively priced, and when we finished stacking it, it was fully 2 cords stacked (1 stacked cord = 4X4X8)!
