Before I went in for the first time, I called the shop and asked about their pricing, the kinds of cuts, as well as which barber I should go to based on what I wanted. I was directed to the website where I could easily choose a barber, and select the day and time I want to book a haircut. The website also laid out pricing for different kinds of cuts. I have been getting a styled cut ($45) and adding a $5 tip to bring me to an even $50. The vibe inside the store is amazing. Everyone is super friendly, professional and definitely a homey barber shop feel. I would highly recommend this barber shop to anyone in the area!

It's down the ST from our house so he can walk/bike there. He got his haircut, kinda simple not exactly what he wanted, but it was ok. The lady doing his haircut had told him next time to let her know in advance that he wanted a tapper fade because it took longer. He said ok, thanked her and left. Fast forward to 2 days ago... we call to make appointment, she rudely answered my questions gave me a time, and when I proceeded to let her know he would be getting a tapper fade she got upset said we don't do that here go somewhere else.... I explained what my son had said and even after realizing she was in the wrong... she still gives me an attitude and says fine. It's more expensive. I finally gave up... and called another barbershop 2 towns away. The money had nothing to do with it... my son ended up paying for the haircut he got and is now in love with this new barbershop... all because they treated him amazing... they listened to his request and provided him with great service... This is the BEST hair salon that I have ever encountered over 35 years living in the Martinez area. I have been to other hair salons from time to time thinking that I may get a better hair cut or a new experience, but those places never make me happy or proud for me to present myself in the corporate world. I've been a long time customer of Citrus and have been going since I moved to the East Bay. I…read morenormally get my haircut there at least a couple times a year but recently more often since I now have shorter hair. I normally don't preschedule so I see multiple different hair stylists which may or may not be a good thing. I recently prescheduled an appointment and was running late so I gave a call to the salon. The woman on the phone was short and slightly obnoxious in that she was almost happy to tell me I would need to reschedule and still pay 100% for my cancellation. I did not cancel anything and it was a forced cancellation. I even asked if there was a late fee I could pay or reschedule it and only pay 50% for rescheduling fee since I've been a customer for so long but once again, she sounded happy to tell me no. I understand that being late is 100% my fault but I've also had to wait for my stylist for 10-15 mins when arriving on time so they are also not 100% punctual. This left a bitter taste in my mouth and I will unfortunately not be going back anymore.
