Avoid Creative Computer Solutions if I couls give it 0 stars I would. If you are considering bringing your computer to Creative Computer Solutions for computer repair or a custom PC build, think twice before leaving expensive equipment here. My $13,000+ custom water-cooled gaming PC sat in their shop for weeks with almost no communication, repeated missed completion dates, and constant excuses. In the end, when I refused to pay for unfinished work, the owner told me to "take my stuff and get the fuck out of his store." I originally dropped my computer off at Creative Computer Solutions on January 22 for a diagnostic and was told I'd get a call within a few days once they figured out the issue. A week went by and I heard nothing. I called the shop three days in a row before finally getting someone on the phone who told me the system needed a new motherboard. Since I was already replacing that, I decided to replace the case as well and move forward with a custom water-cooling build. I brought the new parts to the shop on February 12, and Alex told me the build would be completed within 24-48 hours. Instead, it turned into weeks of missed promises and almost no communication. After another week with no updates, I tried calling the shop again and could not reach anyone. I texted through their system and received only automated responses. I have screenshots of every message showing the lack of response. Eventually Alex contacted me and apologized for the communication issues, saying it's something he struggles with personally. He then promised the computer would be finished by Friday. That Friday he texted until around 6:30 PM saying he would stay late to finish it. I told him I would arrive around 8:30 PM after work. I texted him on the way there and received no response. When I arrived, the shop was completely dark and closed. I was then ghosted until the following Monday or Tuesday. From there the same pattern repeated: more excuses, more promises, and more missed completion dates. I was told the system would be finished Thursday, then Friday, then Saturday, and none of those deadlines were met. When I finally went into the shop the following week, the workspace was in complete disarray with parts and tools scattered everywhere. My computer was still in pieces and nowhere near completion, despite being told multiple times that it was almost finished. In fact, none of the water-cooling tubing had even been run yet. The employee working there couldn't even get ahold of Alex either and mentioned he regularly has to deal with situations like this and ends up taking the heat from customers. After even more promises, I was told again that the system would be ready for pickup the next day. When I arrived at 3 PM, I was told it needed another hour and a half. I left and returned 2 1/2 hours later, and the computer was still in the exact same condition. After waiting two more hours, Alex texted again saying he was too sick to finish it that night. He then asked if I wanted to take the system and "settle up." The agreed price for a completed job was $200, yet he attempted to charge $300 for unfinished work. When I refused to pay for an incomplete job and began packing up my own parts, he told me I could not leave with my equipment. When I said we could involve the police if necessary, his response was to tell me to "take my stuff and get the fuck out of his store." I dropped off my SPARE computer and asked them to put their virus protection (Emsisoft) on it. After charging me $150 and picking it up, I tried to do a scan, but couldn't because Emsisoft was NOT on my computer. If it isn't in your "Programs and Features", it's NOT on your computer. . Plus if you have Emsisoft on your computer, it will ALWAYS let you scan it. That's what you're paying for. I do have my MAIN computer's virus protection from these people and I never had a problem before. . Otherwise, their service has been good. But this time is different. . He says they don't allow any new people to scan their own computers because it causes problems. That's a lie. If I had the Emsisoft on my computer, I WOULD be able to. I've called and texted them about this but they just won't reply. . Are they just trying to steal that $150 from me? . Seems like it. Very un-trustworthy. . Zero communication after diagnosis phone call day of laptop drop off. Issue was BSOD. CCS stated to replace SSD, mentioned battery showing signs of wear, I approved battery replacement. $345 estimate total. I suggested buying a new laptop instead; tech pushed back. I agreed to cost. I emailed 6 days after drop off asking about laptop; zero contact/communication; no reply. I showed up at location, picked up my laptop, paid $351. Immediately (upon departing CCS) I dropped off laptop to another repair shop to do another diagnostic. Battery wouldn't keep charge. Kingston SSD used as replacement of original SSD. 2nd repair shop expressed less than enthusiastic response by Creative Computer Solutions use of SSD product and battery replacement among other concerns. I purchased a new laptop by which I suggested to CCS to begin with. After paying for charges from CCS, I received an email from their ^no-reply-tech-marketing-engine-rating-venue^ by which I did not utilize, it seemed questionable, showing a 892 5 STAR review icon. After leaving our laptop here we asked for a repair estimate before repair. After 3 weeks and many messages & phone calls we picked up laptop with no estimate was told it was fixed only to get it home and problem was still there it was not fixed. We still could not find the wi fi we were looking for because it was not listed. We were charged $80. We will never come back to this store . no stars read more

I mainly interacted with Alex but Scott also did a great job. Alex gave a fair assessment of my computer, what was wrong with it, and what he would do if he was in my shoes. He also gave a recommendation for a used computer that he was refurbishing. I absolutely love my computer that I purchased from them. Out of business. I've been trying to contact them for several weeks. The phone is still working but nobody ever answers and voicemail messages are never returned. I tried emailing them, again, no response. I drove there yesterday because their voicemail contained a message that they would be opening at 1:00pm. When I arrived at approximately 1:45pm there were two other customers waiting outside and the business was locked up. Both customers stated that, for the last several weeks, they had been unsuccessfully trying to retrieve computers they had previously dropped off for repair. As we were waiting around another customer arrived. She stated that, two months prior, she had dropped off a $3000.00 computer for repair and had been unable to reach anyone at the business since. My husband and I can not say enough good about Creative Computer Solutions. We learned about this business while at a fund raising event during the holidays, we won a gift certificate to have computer work done. My husband needed an old computer fixed so he could have ready access to his documents while writing his dissertation. Alex helped John and got his computer up and running. Meanwhile, I bought an external hard drive which basically was cracked at the start as it never worked right. Alex tried to get my data but told me he himself could not recover it. He gave us information on sending the drive out for disk recovery. You can not go wrong going to this place. They are remodeling it and it looks great! Shea came to my house to help me with a couple of computer issues. After a fair amount of time he wasn't able to help, but told me that he could extract files and/or pictures from a couple of old computers at the shop. I wasn't able to do that, but for all the time he spent he didn't charge me a dime for coming out because he was unable to help (not his fault at all, I had some comparability issues) He was very kind. Made the mistake of bringing my Mac there. CCS kept it a week, did nothing and charged me $75. It left them in just as bad of shape as it arrived. So now, I just left the apple store Genius Bar. They got it back to like new and charged me nothing. CCS should have told me they didn't know squat about Macs. Got ripped off. read more
