About 3.5 stars I love this place!!! It can honestly be a one stop spot for wedding, party supplies. Brides beware... please have your colours picked out prior to visiting creative bag especially for ribbons. There's a huge selection and assortment of colours & sizes you honestly wouldn't know what to do. Single faced ribbons are mostly sold in 100 yards w/ diff sizes. Double faced ribbons need to be ordered in advance and it takes about 2-3 weeks for them to get it in. My first visit here lasted 1.5 hrs .. Time will fly by when you're at creative bag! :D Love it Other than ribbons (organza, satin, mixed, etc.), they have boxes (LOTS of sizes....cupcakes, cake, gift boxes & more), favours, tuelle, organza, flower girl baskets, ring pillow, bags... LOTS and lots of diff bags (plastic, paper... i can keep going...) I feel some of the prices aren't that frugal. But there are definitely some things worth checking out ! I called in to ask a question and received the most condescending and unnecessarily rude response from a sales associate. When I asked about where I would locate templates for place cards on their website, he actually responded with, and I quote, "There is this thing called the IN-TER-NET. The WORLD-WIDE-WEB. If you search for it, you'll find it there." I would not have bothered with this place if my planner didn't insist that I purchase specific place cards sold here. When I came by to pick them up today, I discussed the treatment I received with the manager. She was sympathetic, but did not seem surprised or disgusted by the behaviour of her staff. Even though we were making a purchase today, she offered to give us a discount "next time". We declined, as there won't be a next time. read more

I agree with Rana - 3.5 stars! This place would earn more if they lowered their prices, but since they are a specialty store I guess it's not a surprise they aren't on par with Dollarama. That being said, this is definitely the place to go if you want every last detail to match and you're a crafty kind of person. I came here by accident one day on my lunch; I was taking a walk int he neighborhood and decided to pop in. Since then, I've only returned here when I want the "nice" wrapping supplies (aka not Dollarama quality). The stock is impressive and the color selection is also quite good. They have some really nice seasonal things at Christmas, too. read more

Great place for all kinds of packaging and decorations. They have a huge supply of all kinds of ribbons and the packaging options are limitless. It is a bit pricy but if you are buying in bulk there is a slight discount on some of the items. My visit there today was for boxes for Christmas presents. No staff approached to offer assistance which was ok since I knew exactly what I was looking for and the 2 girls at the cash were super friendly. read more

Love this place!! They have any sort of packing you want in one place. Prices are a little high but completely worth you not having to scramble everywhere else for same products. Not a lot of places carry all these packaging products in one place and they have so many options! They also do custom orders which is great. We buy mainly for business purposes so it works perfect for us. They don't do refunds so make sure you buy what you need! It's not the stores fault if you go overboard and buy things you don't want without checking the return policy (like a lot of other reviewers were saying). I've never had to return anything here because it's all worked perfect for us. They always have a ton of staff on the floor which is great and super helpful. They will check in the back too if you don't see what you're looking for. All in all love this place. Great products! read more

Huge selection of packaging and craft materials here. If I were planning a party or a wedding, I would probably spend hours here. Bulk buying gets you discounted pricing as well. I come here to buy FDA approved packaging for the macarons that I sell. You have the option of ordering online and then picking up or going instore and picking from their shelves. Awesome store for someone who plans events or does lots of crafts. Pretty affordable. Wish they had more plainer options for boxes though. (Ie. No stripes). Only main thing I had an issue with is their staff and customer service - it needs improvement as it's definitely not their strong point. No one really greets you, "hello" or asks if you need help. And, even when I asked someone on the floor a simple question: "do you guys sell envelopes?" - the staff member was so unpleasant to deal with and seemed miserable. read more

My primary reason for coming here is for the amazing range of ribbons. Rows and rows of ribbons to match anything I want. If you're in for large quantities, the ribbon prices here are so much more reasonable than most other places. I've also managed to buy an aisle runner here for a friend for $19.99 plus tax. As soon I stepped in the store I got super hyper and excited. As someone who loves to do craft projects I was in love . Creative Bag has a great stock of supplies and materials however the prices for certain items put me off. I love the layout of the store and the staff were very knowledgeable and made great suggestions. read more

Don't expect any help unless the store is not busy. Some store employees are helpful. Others (supervisor I think), need to take some customer service training. Don't ask them to change a $20 bill (even if you spend a large amount of money) or try to return something. Some items are non-refundable, and any items returned are subject to a 25% restocking fee. I am dissappointed with there customer service! Today I went into the store to buy some baby shower items. When I went home, I checked my receipt and they listed it as "Wedding items". According to the store the baby items were wedding items and thus "non-refundable". On the shelf where the baby items were placed there was nothing indicating that it was considered "wedding items". I went back the same day but they charged me a 25% stock fee. I told them I was there 2 hours earlier, but no avail. They also did not refund a box that I opend my mistake. Buyers beware!!!!!! If you go to this store make sure that you know what you are buying. They have a very difficult return policy. I will be calling the better business bureau. read more

I will agree and disagree with Christine at the same time. I was offered absolutely incredible customer service last week by two staff members helping me with my wedding. I go there once in a while and have been for 10 years with my mother and you can tell than management hires staff that are cheerful and friendly because they're can't be bothered. That being said, I'll never ask management for advice because they're not nearly as creative as their staff. I will return again and only request help from their bride specialists. Their selection of ribbon is incredible and well priced, and their crafts section will give4 Michael's a run for their money. Can't wait to go back. read more

I went in with my fiancé today at 4:35 and they were supposedly closing at 5:00. The door was locked and the curtain was closed all the way down. We knocked on the door and an employee answered. She told us they were closing because their system was down. We asked if we could still look around and she reluctantly agreed. When we walked in there were people shopping and people checking out (thought their system was down) as we were walking around, there were employees just standing and talking to each other. My friend bought boxes from there a few weeks before and asked if I could pick up one more box for her. I showed the employee the photo and said she's never seen it and it's not from their store. The only thing they sold were boxes,tulle, and ribbons I found nothing helpful for my wedding. Worst customer service and product. As a retail store, we had thousands of dollars in purchased product damages as their custom bags would fall apart consistently. After trying to get this fixed for months, we of course had to go with a new supplier as they were not willing to work on better bags or refund us the cost of boxes of faulty bags. I orderd online and had a terrible experience. The website was awful and I had no clue if my order was actually processed. I called to see what was going on, only to be passed around all over the place to find out what my shipping costs would be and if I could recieve an invoice. The next day someone else called me and I had to re-give all of my information. They said my products would be shipped out later that week and arrive Tuesday of the following week... Today - Tuesday, I get a call telling me that they do not have what I ordered in stock. My event is on Saturday and now I am scrambling. read more

I used to like this place, until I discovered their return/exchange policy. If you purchased anything that has anything to do with food, whether the seal on the packaging has been broken or not, they will not allow it back. IF it's anything else, they only give you back 75% of your purchase price, with a receipt and within 30 days. BOOOOOO on you creative bag. Your prices are ridiculously high, service less than what it should be and this policy is enough to never return.
