Newport Hair Loss Center, specifically Nazy Curtis and her whole team, are amazing! If I could give…read morethem more than five stars, I would. I have had Alopecia for almost 30 years, I'm 36 now. I have been through many different wigs from many different makers, and I can say, hands down, these are the best quality wigs on the market. I have never felt more confident and carefree. As a woman wearing a wig I know that the experience one has is just as important as the piece you buy. I bought a wig 2 years ago from Nazy and absolutely loved it. I went with a different color than usual and had a lot of fun changing it up. I recently went back in August and decided to get a new one, going back to my original color. A month in I noticed that some of the hairs started going in the opposite direction creating holes. I called Nazy and made an appointment at the Newport office. She took one look at it and said there must be have been some sort of problem when it was put together and without hesitation she replaced it with a new one, and is donating the hair from the other one! Amazing. This says volumes about who Nazy is as a person, a business woman and fellow sufferer of Alopecia. I will not be going to anyone else but her from now on. Thanks Nazy!

I do not recommend you spending $1600 for a subpar wig that would arrive a week before your chemo…read moreis finished. They said it would take 8-10 weeks. It took a full 12 weeks to only to have to ship it back for it to be fixed, which they said it would take only 1-2 weeks since they would put me on top priority and it took 4 weeks. It took 4 months to get it back! They send the actual wig making to some ladies in China or Philippines. I would have been finished with chemo had I not had any delays. It's a waste of my time, energy and money. I will use cold capping next time. They also stole my hair. I sent in almost 600g of hair, 3 full head of hair. And my wig was 180g. Not the 300g they initially say they will put in the wig. The wig was so thin that I was too embarrassed to wear. That's why I had to send it back. They said they have to check if they had my hair since they don't usually keep and of course they had my hair since they probably only used 1/2 of it and saved the rest for themselves. When I finally got it back "fixed" they added 10g of hair (190g total now). I am very unhappy with the process and the wig is decent. Better to save your money and spend it on something else that will help you get better. Shame on them for making cancer patients pay a fortune for our own hair to be made into an unsatisfactory wig and then keeping the client's hair to make other people's wigs. If you must get a wig made out of your own hair, hire a wig maker here and you will pay just the same and get it way faster.

This place is sadly anything but what their name implies. I want to give an honest review that u…read morewon't get on their website. I expressed to them that I had a relative who was dying of cancer and that I needed to sell my hair so that I could give it to him for treatment and whatever else his needs were. The lady offered me at least 1/3 the value that was quoted on a reputable online platform and I questioned the quotation given. She said that it wasn't realistic to expect anything higher because the online quotes are not accurate, my color hair was too common, and bc of the quality of my hair (which was actually good). After letting her know I would think about it, I then decided that any amount was better than nothing to give to my relative, and let her know I would sell my hair to her. The lady then told me she was no longer interested and to go online to sell my hair! I found this to be extremely unprofessional and quite heartless considering the situation. But I'm so glad I did not sell my hair to them because I did sell it on the hairsellon website and was paid triple what they offered and well above my asking price. Not only that, but the person who bought it was from Kuwait, paid for shipping costs, and was buying my hair for her auntie who had lost hair because she had cancer treatments. Now that is truly compassionate care. This place makes me cringe at their purpose and supposed care for cancer patients. If you need to sell your hair to someone who really could need it and value it, I suggest you go elsewhere. I have had very good success w hairsellon twice to people who had family with cancer and could relate and lovingly gave for my hair.

I asked for a deep condition and trim (just ends/even up my hair) with the deal and on the phone she said it was fine. I went for my appointment and reiterated that I wanted a trim (as little hair cut as possible) with a deep condition (have very dry hair). I have natural curly hair (African American) and had called before buying the deal to confirm that she was experienced with my hair texture. She didn't do the deep condition, combed my hair dry (told her I only comb hair when wet and have conditioning product) and gave me a haircut that's like a boy's haircut/helmet. So unhappy with my 'style', lack of conditioning and haircut. I DON'T recommend her services if you have a tight natural hair pattern since she doesn't seem to know how to work with this type of hair.
