The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. We were doing a lot of research before committing to buying a bearded dragon for my daughter's 13th birthday. CreationPet's staff spent 15 plus minutes educating us on everything there is to know. We left with the supplies we needed to get started and now we have a happy baby beardie that we feel well equipped to care for. read more

I have been setting up my salt water awuarium. I've been waiting for years to have this tank and they have been there from step one to now. And offering to drive 45 minutes to my house to help. Who does that? I love the selection and the friendly staff that are so full of information. They are my first go to for my tank. I have fresh water and they have been a huge help there too! Go see them. They are family owned and care about the client and fish. They will not sell you anything that will not work in your tank. A+++++ read more

Quality has gone down considerably since they expanded beyond just fish. In terms of fish: Poor selection. Poor quality. They were in my top 3, now they're not even in my top 10. Service has also decreased. Did they sell to new owners?! read more

Spent twenty minutes waiting to buy fish and being treated like I was invisible. Went up to the counter and asked to buy fish from the two people working. They told me they were busy. Went and stood by the tank I wanted to buy fish from and waited 5 more minutes. One worker walked right where I was standing, ignored me and helped someone else. The other ignored me as I went out the door. Next time I'll drive to Optimum, it will end up wasting less time even though it's out of my way. read more

We just set up a new aquarium. Robert and Kate were fantastic answering our questions and helping us to chose the correct fish. We returned the next day and Robert tested our tank water. Everyone is very knowledgeable, the prices are great and I love that they are so friendly. Highly recommended. read more

I really love this store! They are the best place to get food for our Geckos and Bearded Dragon. We are thinking of setting up a Salt water tank and they have really helped us decide how to begin this sort of hobby! Everyone is always helpful and friendly. Very nice store carrying many different pets including birds and reptiles so it smells funky inside. They have two awesome 400G cube display saltwater tank. one with 50+ fishes and another one with predator fowlr. This store is only fish store with rimless waterfall coral tanks which is super nice to see. There is two sea cucumber that is over foot long and looks disgusting. Lol... Associates are not all that knowledgeable about reef tanks since they carry many other pets. read more

My husband called in advance about a fish price, the associate told him one thing regarding price. After driving over an hour in traffic and sleet across town we are told something completely different. A $50 difference to be exact. Coming from management careers my husband and I assumed the situation would have been resolved with a simple price match especially after the trouble we went through. We were told they wouldn't take the loss by discounting the fish and honoring the price which initially brought in our business from the get go. I felt we were dismissed and disregarded by the nonchalant manager who showed no signs of responsibility for his improper trained staff. I don't respect nor support any establishment selling ANY product, especially with the management, displaying blatant disregard for its customers. And yes we are people of color! After reading previous comments I'm assuming the manager I spoke with is the one responding and trying to down play all negative customer experiences . What a great pet store - their aquarium section looked well maintained and was impressive...but I was there for the reptiles! I loved seeing Ironman and Draco, their in-house chams/pets, and their other chams had impressive set up with clean cages. It was fantastic - they had a great selection of other reptiles and reptile accessories, too. I will definitely go back if I need more chameleon stuff! read more

Stopped in this past Saturday talked with Matt. He had recommended a used sump/refugium and quoted me a price. After about an hour of us talking we went back to the refugium and the price had increased! After thinking it over in my head while they were closed Sunday (Easter) I returned to the store Monday morning to pick it up. Matt was not there due to his day off so the girl texted him and AGAIN the price INCREASED! I know wine gets better and move valuable as time passes but a Used sump......come on guys! Sad to say you lost a customer forever! Will not recommend this store to anyone I know. read more

Stay away from this local fish store. They have sick fish. The salt water fish only last less then 4 days. No guarantees on the fish. Once you call to speak to the staff they quick to ask for a sample of the water. The water quality is perfect . The question is where do you get your livestock from? Once you have an issue with there fish they do not want to deal with you. The owner states she will work with you on the review but it's a lie. They told me to bring the fish in just to tell me it's a part of the hobby " you win some you lose some" all I been doing is losing with creation pet. When they have sales, beware ... the fish is about to die, they want to make a few dollars and let the fish die in your tank. This place should be investigated, where the fish is coming from.. do your research on Cyanide... the fish gets a little poison so the fish can easily be caught and sell to local fish stores like creation pet which is illegal. Go to a fish store that offers guarantee on there fish like optimum, pure reef of premier aquatics .... you will thank me later. read more

Love this store! Matt, Amanda, Hannah, Evan are phenomenal. They know fish like no other and are always willing to impart their knowledge. They have a great inventory and if they don't have what you need, they can order it for you. I love supporting small local businesses, having owned several myself, and these guys do not disappoint. These folks are amazing. Any business is only as good as the experience that the staff and environment creates for it's customers and these folks are exceptional at both. My son recently won a gold fish at a carnival and after no success with our tank in the past, we decided to get some real help vs the big box pet store. The entire team is friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I had pricing issues the last time I was there. They told me used decoration in the tank were half off, and at the register 5 mins later they charged me full price for both pieces. I wasn't thrilled about that at all, I blame the female supervisor for her stupidity for a lost sale! read more

I went in yesterday seeking advice and recommendations on what kind of plants to add to my betta fish's tank. I mentioned to her what kind of tank set up I currently had, the filter type, and the amount of gallons. She told me what kind of substrate to get, plants, and flourish liquid etc. I went home and started to set up a new tank for my betta and added the substrate. The substrate was much muddier than I was expected or led to believe so that was shocking, I add the sand and start the filter. The filter completely clogs up and the substrate blocks the whole filtration system and pump. It literally broke my whole system and I had to go out and buy a whole new tank and now the plants I purchased are dead. I am really upset because I spent $60 and left really excited to set up my new tank after the great experience I had in store. It kinda sucks that I spent so much money, broke my tank, and had to spend even more money. Their return policy is one of the worst I've ever seen if I'm being honest. I feel bad because the girl was extremely kind and I felt like she was being helpful, unfortunately I was incorrect. read more

I went in and purchased a fish tank for over $5000 and I hired movers to come and pick up the tank, and when they got there they were turned around because the supervisor Tonni told them that my charge didn't go through. So I received my Credit card statement today and it stated that I have a charge from creation pet. So they tried to take my money and not inform me that they received payment from my card. This store is a fraud, and they have really poor customer service. I would definitely not recommend anyone to go there. read more
