So much aquatic life. Very friendly and helpful staff as well. A large selection of both salt and freshwater supplies.

The BEST aquarium shop I've ever been to! They have everything you need for your fresh water or even salt water tank. Not to mention the most beautiful fresh/salt water fish and coral! On top of that the accessories they provide are unlimited, from drift wood to dragon stone to plants to any chemicals you need. This family owned business have the best owner and employees, they're so helpful and informative with any help you need. Almost forgot they have 5 gallon jugs of Reverse Osmosis water (which is great for fresh water tanks!) which is only $3.00/5gal they also provide salt water jugs. Peep the cutest pufferfish they have here!

Owners are great , and welcoming. ive been there a multiple times ! there's a great selection of corals and as well as supplies for anything you could need. only down side is they have small selection of saltwater fish if any butttt freshwater there's an abundance which is awesome. definitely a great shop overall.

Fish that passed 2 days later (ph and oxygen level are fine)

I am leaving a 50/50 review. I went to the Atlanta Aquarium July 13th, I purchased about 8 fresh water fish and most of them have been doing great in the aquarium. However, I have had 2 of the fish pass away on me. The photos attached are of 2 separate betas and an orange fish with a black tail. The beta passed away first on the morning of the 14th. I attempted to call the store to which I received and automated "busy phone line voicemail" on multiple occasions. I went to the business the same day and received help from a nice woman. She replaced my beta and tested my waters ph and it showed no signs of being too low or high. We decided to add a bubbler to the tank to supply more oxygen and she told me to let them know how the fish (orange fish pictured was doing afterward) orange fish was still alive at the time I went to the store. I came back home and saw that said orange fish passed away :(. The replaced beta that she gavee today is already mainly swimming at the bottom of the tank (really hardly at all). After confirmation that I have been providing a good amount environment/life for the fish I am conflicted if I'd like to continue purchasing fish from this location. They have such a great variety of fresh and saltwater fish, plants and rocks. The staff is super helpful and sweet. I just don't know if all of the fish are healthy. While I was there I saw one of the workers suction out a dead beta (the exact same color wave as the one I just replaced) it's a koi beta. I really hope my new beta survives but it is already exhibiting signs of the same other 2 fish that passed way. Photos posted on previous review.

This place is amazing , they have very thing and not only is there selection wide , THEY TAKE CARE OF THE FISH. Quality over convenience. All my aquatic fish are from this place. They have saltwater, plants , freshwater , large fish , small fish , invertebrates, chichilds . Come to this place expecting quality and for it to be your local go to fish store. I've been coming for around a year and they have never failed.

We purchased the Yellow Lyre Tail Anthias Goby and the Purple Fire Fin Goby

Great prices and a wonderful selection of corals and fish. We have never had an issue with any of the items we've purchased here. Rit really loves his customers and makes it worth your while on every visit. Every time we stop by, which is about once a week, the store gets bigger and better. They have inventory which includes test kits, water supplements and the various other must haves you need to maintain your saltwater aquarium. We recently made a large purchase of a new protein skimmer which is working out great!! The corals Rit offers are vibrant and healthy, which is nice when you dont know how they will adjust to your tank. We've never had anything die to any fault of AA. *Ahem!! I may have had an acclimation problem in my past* Its a bit of a drive for us from Midtown but our tank looks more beautiful as each month goes by.

The place was packed. The exhibits are well-maintained and entertaining. I'm already thinking about a return trip.

The best fish and coral store in the Atlanta area. The owner can also help you get any equipment you need. Been coming here for many years.

Rit spent a solid 30 minutes educating me about freshwater fish tank set up and caring for a sick fish.

Atlanta Fish Guy - Our fish tank by Joel, The Atlanta Fish Guy

Joel is a wealth of knowledge after being an aquarium specialist for 30 years. He helped me out…read morewith my goldfish and tank. His son David has been working with him for years and is beginning to take over the business. He is also so knowledgeable!

I have to say, anyone who has anything negative to say about Joel, The Atlanta Fish Guy, really…read moredoes not have a clue! Joel has serviced our 180-gallon fish tank for probably 10-15 years. You really don't know what you've got with Joel until you find yourself without him for six months! Our tank had a lot of rock in it because it was originally a salt water tank, which Joel converted to fresh water years ago. Due to having problems with his shoulder and all the heavy rock in our tank, Joel had to stop being our maintenance guy. It was a very sad day for us when he couldn't maintain our tank anymore, but even sadder when after finding a new, supposedly professional fish guy (with good reviews!), he managed to kill every single fish in our tank! There were no mechanical, lighting or fish feeder issues, but a few days after a recent cleaning, our 25 or so fish started acting funny; all on top of the water in the corners. A few days later, every fish was dead. I immediately contacted Joel, with the hope that he could help us again or at least tell me who to call. He was here the next day! With his shoulder feeling better now, he and his son were able to drain every drop of water out and empty and clean all the gravel and rock. The tank is back in action and more beautiful than ever with Peacock cichlids and more plants than rock so it's manageable for him now. It's magnificent and Joel did the job in no time at all! So, here's praying for Joel to have good shoulders for many, many years to come because I NEVER want to be without him again! And after contacting the former guy with a more than nice text message about our ordeal and to tell him we're going back to Joel, his only response was: "OK." Joel is the absolute best and very reasonably priced for his expertise in the field! I feel very fortunate that we live within his service area. I'm sorry if you don't, but don't blame that on Joel for goodness sake!! We love you, Joel! And THANK YOU!!!
