When we walked in, there was a sign in desk for people with reservations, I informed the young lady at the desk that we were only there to browse and we did not intend on purchasing a puppy. The amicable hostess told us it was totally fine to look around and to let her know if we wanted to play with any of the dogs. They had a small selection of toys and grooming items, nothing impressive. I'm a dog lover and knew if I held any of the pups I would want to take one home , so we just observed through the window. While we were observing, I noticed 1 dog in a cage with 3 others being attacked. Everyone said they were playing but they kept going for his neck, and he wasn't even defending himself... it broke my heart to not be able to help and put him in a different cage. We also saw a cute min Schnauzer with tons of energy in a cage with another breed who was either very tired or very sick. All the dogs looked like they could use a bath and none looked happy. Prices were not listed and I didn't bother to ask since pet store prices are historically high. If I was in the market for a puppy and wanted to know the lineage I would go to a breeder. It is not clear where these random dogs come from and even what they are mixed with. In my opinion, these dogs are not much different than the ones you would find at the Humane Society, other than the price. We left Petland Puppies feeling sad for the canines, hoping they all find a forever home soon.

I leave for a few minutes and come back to ask him another question about the time in which the Kitty Angel rescue would be there the following Wednesday, and he rudely said "did you check the sign by the door like I told you?" He did not tell me to check the sign. I said I saw the store hours were 9-9. He said "Well that sign does not say their hours are 9-9". He then points to the sign and says "4-8, 4-8, 4-8" I apologize and say I didn't see the sign. He said "I should have checked". Altogether rude experience, rude interaction, and bad customer service. Before hand a month prior to December when I spoke to a manager (Karyssa) that I needed more hours to pay for college, I was told I had to "earn the right" to get more hours, even though I'd always asked my team if they needed help. Management was unprofessional, petty, and even spiteful. One manager in particular (Karyssa) tried to micromanage my every move, lied about customer complaints (even claiming people somehow had her direct email), and made it clear that her personal issues with me were more important than actual performance. At one point, I was even threatened with a write-up for not talking to a dog. This wasn't just bad management it was personal, targeted, and cruel. I was a college student trying to stay afloat. They knew or should have known how serious that was, and they didn't care. That level of disregard is more than just toxic; it's inhumane. No one should be treated this way especially not by a multi-billion-dollar company. Save yourself the stress and apply somewhere that treats their employees like people, not pawns.
