Orbit is a piercing shop, skate shop, and boutique located in San Leandro, California. It's a small local business that has been run by the same owner, Sal, since 2001, and now his son works alongside him -- a true family business and honestly part of what makes this place so special. Today my son and I stopped by to have our piercing jewelry changed, and as always, the experience was fast, friendly, and incredibly clean. I was genuinely impressed (yet again) by the hygiene practices and professionalism throughout the entire process. There's a reason I've been coming here for over two decades. I first started coming to Orbit around 2000/2001 with just two piercings. By 2005, I had 28 piercings, and now I'm down to 8 -- but Orbit has remained my go-to through every phase. The shop stays busy, and for good reason. If you go, be prepared to wait, especially during the after-3pm rush or weekends. But the level of knowledge, the environment, and the overall experience make it completely worth it. One thing I really appreciate is that they genuinely care about their clients instead of rushing people in and out. It can get hectic at times -- one person may start helping you and another may jump in a few minutes later -- but they work together so seamlessly that it feels like one continuous experience. I wish I remembered the employee's name but he was really helpful despite it being only him in the shop. He got my Onewheel order and we talked about accessories I wanted to buy. Unfortunately, the store didn't have any available for my model(they had a lot for the Pint and GT models). In the end, my son and I came out with smiles on our faces. I am DEFINITELY, coming back in the summer to pick up a new electric scooter and maybe a Onewheel Pint S for my son.
