CRBR remodeled my moms master bathroom after a serious leak in the wall was found. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable - especially Chris and Jeff. The final bill was exactly as expected and it was a very good price for the work they did. I would highly recommend them to family and friends. Thanks again, CRBR, Sincerely, Matt Xavier read more

And there it is! People.. he just showed his cards. This was ALWAYS about a court ordered monthly payment. They provided no service to us. We fixed their mistake AND the leak ourselves. They scammed us. If you have any questions about them and their professionalism and whether you should choose them or not, just read the reply from their management. Not "we are so sorry that you've had a bad experience"! How can we make this right. They are awful. DO NOT USE THEM or this will be you. If you or anyone you know has also been scammed by them, please reply with a comment. I'll reach out and get your info. I'm looking into this company further. read more

Unfortunately, they charge Way too much and take advantage of people in distress situations. It is a very unethical business model in many ways. Otherwise the guys do work hard and they do their job. However, they're paid mostly with Insurance and therefore take advantage of that system. read more

Last year we had a water pipe burst under our home which caused some damage to our subfloor. We contacted our insurance company, and they had a mitigating company come to dry our home out and investigate the scope of damage. That company did such a great job in all aspects that my wife and I wanted to stick with them for the rest of the work. Our insurance agent really pushed for CRBR, vouched for their work, and so, we agreed to go with these guys. Today, we're looking at a nightmare of a situation and regret that decision deeply. 1) We had LVP installed in our home and it is failing at random throughout the home in all trafficked areas due to not prepping the subfloor and using the wrong materials (corrugated cardboard) when they attempted to level the subfloor in various areas, rather than what the job would standard would call for, a self leveling medium. 2) CRBR failed to seal up the moisture barrier under our home after explaining to them on multiple occasions (once with the branch manager present) that my agent was willing to approve more if they had missed the full scope of damage in the first estimate. Unfortunately, the Project manager became argumentative, dismissive, and unwilling to resubmit anything new to my insurance agent who remains open and willing to approve such. 3) We have now have had 3 local licensed flooring contractors independently come to look at the scope of failure we're looking at here. The solid consensus is that we're looking at the floor failing at varying random levels throughout the home because CRBR did not prep the subfloor at all & used improper medium to level it in (at least what we saw in the kitchen- corrugated cardboard scraps from LVP boxes). CRBR has had 3 attempts at fixing these issues before the job is anywhere near complete and each time they did not fix the issues but only made them worse; or in the best case, did not address the problems altogether. Luckily, my wife and I were present daily to catch a glimpse of the subpar and neglective practices CRBR put to use...If not, we would likely be thinking our home was the problem instead. So, all considered, I would not recommend this company to anyone, especially if you do not have an independent inspector to hold them to industry standards / oversee the work. 90% of this work will need to be redone. It is obvious we are looking at numerous breaches of contract pertaining to the use of "proper material" and "good workmanship." At this point, it would be in their interest to start offering a full reimbursement and bow out like they were never here. See videos for the flooring quality they have had 3 failed attempts at fixing. https://youtube.com/shorts/WheRyY97jjU https://youtube.com/shorts/NkusBr8rW1s Attached pictures are examples of missing insulation and sliced moisture barrier...this failure to address was only discovered in attempted repair #2 to LVP where they lifted up a piece of subfloor in the kitchen only to expose that corrugated cardboard was being used to level the subfloor and that they never sealed the underbelly moisture barrier. That work should have been done nearly 2 months ago and has been paid for. read more

CRBR did the interior demolition when a tree fell on my house. Their crew did a good job, but took a while to get to the property. In the meantime, I hired someone else to tarp the roof where the fallen tree left a hole that was letting water in. When they were done with the work, I had to repeatedly beg them to invoice me for what they did. I paid that invoice, and now--18 months later--have received an invoice for tarping the roof--something they didn't do. They have now sent me two such "Demand for Payment" letters. I responded to the first one by email. I'll respond to the second by snail mail since they apparently don't read their email. Saying I don't need additional grief after having arduously worked to renovate my damaged house is the understatement of the century. Steer clear of these people. read more

CRBR did not explain their process. They were in a hurry to get a contract signed. I was told they know how submit to the insurance company, so they pay for the services. Yet I still had to pay over $8,000. The employees seemed nice and considerate, but the work was only fair. I had a roof leak which led to the ceiling in my kitchen completely falling down. When they did start to dry out and repair the ceiling it took a week and that was after the ceiling was cut out and removed. The patch for the ceiling looked good at first but once painted the texture did not match the rest of the room. They were not going to blow the insulation until I asked for it since the rest of my house was that way. I think they were cutting corners in material. I paid just over $8,000. to get the ceiling repaired. The work done was not worth that amount of money. I would encourage everyone who is considering this company to search other options. I really wish I had. Vicki L I didn't mention how I had paint specs that were tracked all over my hardwood floor that was not cleaned up by them. read more

No one should ever do business with this company. They are unethical in the way that they operate their business. I would say it's illegal! They overcharge and intentionally try to Bill for work they don't do. for instance, they charged my insurance company for removing carpet out of my bathroom when there was never carpet in there. They also charged for cleaning my bathtub, which there was no bathtub in there. The whole room had been gutted to the studs. I can't stress enough that they are unethical, they are ripping insurance companies off right and left. when the insurance companies get sick of it, they turn to the homeowner and threaten to put liens on Their property! One of their employees working in my house fell off a ladder and broke his arm when I offered to report it to the insurance company. They absolutely said no, which led me to believe that maybe this worker wasn't documented he didn't speak English, so it made it impossible for me to communicate with him, but I was very concerned. These people don't deserve the business of insurance companies because they're not above board and it makes it extremely difficult for the homeowner who is already dealing with their disaster, whether it be fire flood whatever they Bank on the fact that the homeowners just gonna let them run amuck when billing is concerned, especially if there's an insurance company involved. Please beware of CRBR( clean right build right )especially the Chico office. You can't trust these people. i'm personally going to make it my mission to see to it that State Farm insurance company no longer does business with this company. They need to be exposed! read more

In response to the below comment, the handrail was loaded with sap and too wet to hold water let alone stain. The certificate of satisfaction was signed with my wife and Vince at your office prior to resolution to this issue. Jason and Spencer both co.mented on the woods condition at time of install. In regards to opting out of certain repairs, that is our right as insured homeowners and has nothing to do with the defective wood that was installed. Every week I would attempt to see if the wood was ready for stain. The steps still haven't been stained yet they are fine. And those were installed October... FIX IT! read more

Our upstairs guest bathroom flooded in December 2021, which leaked through the shared wall with our master bathroom, as well as down into the ceiling above our kitchen. The fix to our kitchen ceiling went smoothly; however the bathroom repairs are just now wrapping up - 7 months later. Throughout the process CRBR has caused numerous project delays as well as cost overages, due to their own lack of professionalism, incompetence, low-quality work and poor communication within their organization as well as with my husband and me. Below are examples of how poorly this project has been handled: -On at least 3 separate occasions, CRBR workers have been scheduled to come work, and have not shown up. When we called to inquire where they were, the secretary/receptionist/scheduler informed us that whoops, she forgot to put us on the schedule. So then we had to reschedule, which oftentimes pushed out into the following week. -On a Thursday, the men working in our house mentioned they were being pulled off the job due to non-payment. We were confused as we had not received any invoices, or communication from the project manager as to payment being due yet. When we called to inquire, first we were told the invoices had been sent to us and our payments were overdue. We checked email - no invoices. Then we were informed that whoops, staff had forgotten to send us any invoices, and nobody bothered to call us to ask about why we hadn't paid yet. By the time we figured that out, workers were already scheduled to another project and couldn't return until the following week. We were left with both upstairs toilets uninstalled and left in the shower stalls, so we could not use the toilets or showers all weekend. -The guest bathroom oilet was re-installed incorrectly by CRBR. Within 2 hours it started leaking, which necessitated CRBR workers coming after-hours to fix it, rip out the newly re-installed baseboard and leave a fan running all night so ensure no additional water damage. -CRBR was too busy to clean the grout haze off of the newly installed tiles in the master bathroom, and only came to clean it when I asked them to tell me what materials I needed to do it myself. See photo. -CRBR replaced the guest room vanity as they broke the original by mistake. They did not match the replacement to the rest of the granite (bullnose edge) so had to schedule yet an additional day for them to come out and grind the edges down - which should have been done prior to installing. -CRBR dumped brown grout wastewater into our front yard rocks, which stained both the rocks and the sidewalk below. See photo. -CRBR left paint smears on our keyless entry, and denied it was done by them. See photo. -CRBR did not use any type of shoe protectors or lay down tarps/carpet protection, so the carpet up the staircase and down the hallway is destroyed. I am still awaiting a reply as to whether CRBR will replace the carpet, or at the very least clean it. The project manager indicated they would likely not replace, and even tried to tell me it was already in bad condition (not true). See photos. Overall I would not recommend CRBR to anyone. The lack of professionalism, poor repairs and resulting damage to my home is so disappointing and I'm still in shock as to how much of my time and energy has been wasted - as well as that of CRBR. Their poor communication and shoddy work cost thousands of dollars and extra weeks of work to fix their many mistakes. read more

Called CRBR for water damage caused by snow. They were very responsive. However, their job is to assess and remove the damaged areas. Here is where the problems occurred. They gave no thought or care in the demolition as to how the repair will occur. The cost to fix the uneven or partial cuts for sheetrock, the damage they did in jerking out the cabinets, etc. significantly increased the costs for repairs. In addition, they didn't cap the water so when it was turned back on, it gushed out. They didn't secure the house when they left for the day. The biggest issue is they were shady in providing a cost estimate to repair their mess - waiting to see what the insurance was going to pay. read more

I called CRBR on a Monday morning and I have a 6 min ride to work. They were there within minutes! I had a pipe fitting give out under the sink and it flooded our salon. I had never dealt with anything like this. They explained how everything would get taken care of ahead of time and went right to work. They moved furniture, removed the water, removed baseboards, cleaned up literally everything! Bubba and his guys were extremely polite and professional and worked very quickly! They handled the paperwork my insurance needed, took pictures and did it all in a timely manner. I recommend them to everyone I can. read more

We were victims of a bait and switch. Progressive Insurance recommended CRBR for water remediation - a broken water heater seeped into our master closet (Approximately 100 square feet.) The CRBR representative came out gave an estimate and said they'd work with our insurance company; had us sign a form. We agreed; they ripped out and removed the carpet, pad and trim placed 3 huge fans in and outside the closet. They removed the closet door which took 3 seconds and charged $65 for that; the fans were hundreds of dollars for 2 days use. They came back 3 days later instead of 2 as needed because want to pick up on the weekend when they came to pick up the fans they told us they would have to charge another $600+ to provide new carpet pad and reinstall the dried out carpet and couldn't do it for several days to weeks. We had to pay another company to finish the job. THEY NEVER "WORKED WITH OUR INSURANCE COMPANY" We received a check for $850 which was the balance after paying our $500 deductible which we forwarded to CRBR. I disputed their bill by phone, letter, written on invoices. They continue to ignore us; won't reduce the balance ($350) and continue to send us bills FOR THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE BILL EVEN AFTER THEY WERE PAID BY PROGRESSIVE! We could have ripped out the carpet and pad our selves and rented the fans. VERY DISAPPOINTED BY THE WAY WE WERE TREATED - not to mention we are seniors on a fixed income which was the reason their guys said they'd work with our insurance! read more

After the snow last March, a crack in the drywall appeared from the ceiling to the floor on the marriage line of our manufactured home. The home is 34 years old. Called crbr, they sent out their estimator and it was agreed the ceiling needed opened, the unknown was how much had to be opened. When they started the work, they only opened 1 stud bay up to about 8-9'. I told their supervisor they never even looked for the problem, he didn't care and proceeded to close the wall. Their contract had 230 Sq. ft of sheet rock in their quote. They didn't even 1/2 sheet of drywall. The estimator who bid the job doesn't work there anymore so I had no backup about opening the ceiling. The finish work that they did is fine, with the exception of the paint. It's not the color we wanted. We even gave them the paint can with the code for the color. Can got left in the back of workman's pickup for over 2 weeks, now you can't read the code. Nice! If they would of read the quote, compared it to the work that was done, it was obvious that something was wrong, with the amount of material bid, compared to what they used. This was insurance work, so I can only assume this is how they do business. They don't have 16 hours of labor in the job, and minimal material. When they came to collect their money, I offered them $1000.00. They said no, we have a contract for $3000.00 and that was that. So now I have a lien on my house and still need to have it fixed. Stay away from these people. In my opinion management is the problem. They never even addressed the problem and my house could still be in danger of falling, Bob m. no worries, it warranty is 5 years so no worries, if falls in that time they would fix it. Stupid statement in my opinion. David W Magalia read more

Avoid these clowns with a passion. Let me TRY to break it down. 1: Had a fire in the garage, both structural damage and damage to contents, rented space. Tenant situation, these muppets were recommended by my insurance agent. 2: While ONLY having access to content insurance, Landlord decided to kick me out and do the other work(cleaning/repairing walls/ceiling/structure) AFTER I leave. 3: They took over 2 weeks to get me an ESTIMATE. Estimator was busy/in school/ in meetings.. When I finally had enough I called and let them know I needed it the next day(friday) or to forget it. 4:The following monday the estimator called with his estimate, as chipper as could be. And told him no, I already said it was too late, and had started trying to do it myself. 5: 2 weeks after that.. they called AGAIN... trying to schedule the work. (I had already reached out to Servpro to see if there was ANYTHING they could do to help, and continue to struggle on my own. 6: another ~2 weeks and they call AGAIN... And I lost it. Apparently "No" is not a word anyone there understands. If you chose to use these morons, well GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!! read more

Unethical, illegal, and shady company that will LIE and charge you MUCH more than what was quoted and discussed without your consent. They are extremely unprofessional and "management" is worse than the laborers. The service they provided was a subpar clean up job in a 300 sqft kitchen and living room-- ripped out a 10x10 piece of carpet, hauled away a refrigerator and dishwasher and cleaned up some trash. They were supposed to sanitize the floors and counters after, but did not get around to finishing. They worked 6 hours when they said they worked a full day, they broke the water main at the house and refused to take any responsibility. They ended up charging about $480 an hour that I did not agree or consent to when we had already discussed the cost beforehand. I've discussed the overcharge with management and they just want money, they do not care about their customers at all! I do not know how they are even in business with their bait and switch tactics, unreasonable charges, and illegal operations. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM!!! read more

When my husband and I discovered that we had a leaky kitchen sink that had caused a mold issue, we called CRBR to come take a look. I specifically said that we did not want to start anything because we were waiting for our insurance company to get back to us on if they would cover this under our home insurance, I agreed to pay the $156 to get them up here just to take a look. When the tech got here, he took pictures, did is inspection and then had me sign a few papers. We got the talking and I felt comfortable with him and he was just quickly explaining papers not going into detail, but he seemed nice, so I felt okay by signing the documents he had provided. Unknowingly, I signed a blank equipment rental document, about halfway through he starts telling me that he is going to leave some machines here. I asked how much it was going to cost and he said that he does not deal with the pricing and I would have to call Curtis. So, I started to look through the paperwork that he had left as he was continuing his "inspection", that is when I noticed that he had filled in the equipment page to list 3 items: Negative air fan/Air scrubber, Air mover & Dehumidifier. I quickly asked why he was leaving these items here and he explained that there was a lot of mold and he was concerned for our safety breathing in the mold spores. I was scared, I was in a panic because my husband has bad asthma and I did not want him to get sick. The tech was here maybe 1.5 hours and since I am working from home, I didn't follow his every move. I understand that I should have not signed documents without fully reading and understanding them which is my fault but I do not excuse this company repeatedly trying to take advantage of me. He left after saying they would check come to check on the equipment in 24-48 hours and let them know when I heard back from our insurance. Before he left I asked about the equipment once more, I asked if I should close the windows while the machines are running to which he responded no need, if you want to keep the fresh air that is fine. I called Curtis after I got off work to see how much the equipment was going to cost me to which he responded it was going to be about $350 dollars. I told him I would have to talk to my husband, because the tech had scared me thinking that the mold spores are going to negativity affect my husband, our animals and myself. My husband took a look at the equipment they had left and we crawled under the house to the location they had put the "fan" to dry out the sub-floor only to discover that it was not wet/damp at all and the "evidence" that their was a leak was from a previous leak and repair that was done before we purchased the house. I called CRBR the next morning right when the opened and told them to come pick up the equipment because my insurance company said they could not get anyone out to our house for a couple days. The tech came out in a few hours to come get the 3 pieces of equipment. He asked me to sign documents saying that they picked up the equipment and that I was satisfied which I said I did not want to sign because I didn't feel the equipment was necessary at all. The tech said that if I didn't sign the documents he wouldn't take the equipment, so if I didn't sign the papers I would get charged another day of rentals which I can not afford because my husband is not working full time due to COVID. I signed the papers just to get them out of my house and I called back the office to express my concern about the unnecessary equipment & to talk about the estimated I got which was $554.31. I've just got the run around with this company, I've called and talked to 3 people at CRBR (Curtis, Krista and another male who's name I did not get) and I've repeatedly said that I did not want to pay for the 4 hours of equipment set up/take down because it did not take that long and their response was that it was also their travel time from Chico to Magalia, which seems like double dipping since they still are charging me for the Inspection/Scheduling fee of $156.00. Plus, I tried to explain that the "fan" under the house was unnecessary and I should not have to pay for that. Every time I would call, they would tell me they would have to talk to the supervisor, and nothing got done about my bill. Now I got a "Demand for Payment" letter which says that they will file an immediate mechanics lean on my property. Can you believe them! I will NEVER use this company again and I would hope after reading this review no one else will use them! They are just in it for the money and scare people into thinking they need their services that really do not. read more

Horrible company with a few good people but their business practice is almost criminal. They will charge you coming and going. if you have them bid any part and decide to not use them for it they will charge you a 10% quoting fee. We had them quote water damage in our laundry room for the insurance company. They gave us an estimate on everything including subcontracting out the cabinets but said that could and would change. We had them do everything but the cabinets and they charged us 10% for a bid on the cabinets that wasn't even dependable. The final stay was when they forgot to do some of the work and still wanted to charge us for it. After arguing about it for months I gave up and paid them. Please don't make the mistake i did by not checking their reviews first. read more

He wanted to know who my insurance co was (this should have been a red flag) and I told him I would be paying. I called today to see what time they were coming and the girl said there was no record of the call. She kept putting me on hold and was talking to some guy. She said I would have to give them 2500. before they came out. I told her I just wanted an estimate, again placed on hold. She then told me they were too busy with the fire to call a pump place. I'll start by saying that I am happy with the floor they finished installing. However this is the second time they did this floor since the first time they did it was a a complete mess. In June they told my landlord that it would take about two weeks to finish. I had a contractor come out to determine the source of the leak and he said it was the dishwasher. CRBR came out cut a hold in the floor and told me it certainly was not the dishwasher. So we had to get a leak detection company out. They informed us it was indeed the dishwasher. It took about a month for them to get out and start working on the floor, the whole while we were living with a hole in the middle of our kitchen floor. After finishing the "new" floor it had several tears in it, was terribly cut around the door trims, and the base trim was peeling off. They finally came back out to redo it all, they finished several weeks ago and it looks good. However they had left all the old floor and several large trash bags along with a bunch of plywood in our yard. They just picked up the trash yesterday after I had to remind them, and they are supposedly picking up the plywood today December 20... 6 months after they told us it would take two weeks. read more

Was not satisfied with the work done by CRBR. In the end, what appeared to have been a good job of drying out my damaged laminate floors, two months later I find more moisture and tons of mold. Every time, nearly, a different technician came out and I got a different "plan of action"... "We are going to tear out that cabinet", "no we can't", " we will pull up the old linoleum (was under the newer laminate) .... "No, it's dry enough.." In the end them not taking up the wet linoleum left me with mold throughout my kitchen. We wanted them to do the restoration in the end their bid for labor alone for tiling the floor was way too high and so when we took the timing of the floor out of the job they decided they didn't want to do ANY of the work I needed/wanted done and backed out... And told me I owed THEM a $200 processing fee for closing it. Excuse me, my job was not profitable enough for you, so YOU backed out on me... And you want ME to pay YOU? Ridiculous. Worst service ever. I wouldn't ever call them again unless it was the only choice I had. If they can't over charge you and get away with it, they won't do the job and apparently what they do do, they don't do it well enough. Yes, I am very dissatisfied. In the end we kept their subs to fix the house and they were sub standard. I have lost so much money and patience in this process. Terrible work all around. GrandParent's house had a chimney fire which cause no structural damage and was contained within the chimney. We Hired Clean-Rite and had them Clean 2 chairs, 1Master bedroom & Bath, the Kitchen, and a small Washroom. We also had them paint the Mast Bedroom and Hallway, and clean 2 chairs. Worst mistake I have ever made, DO NOT, hire these people. They gave no estimate no matter how many times we ask for one, they promised they wouldn't go over our asking price and to stop if they did. The manager we were working with quit in the middle of the job and left town and no one knows were he went. The painter they hired to paint 1 room and a hallway never finished and left all the doors, door frames, and left all his equipment scattered around in their garage. They never cleaned the vents out and instead got a bush broom stuck in the opening and when my parents turned on their vents smoke went shooting all through their house. Well 2 month after they finished we receive a bill for 16,000 dollars 11,000 more than we said we wanted to go over. We couldn't believe the price, especially since we had cleared out both the kitchen and master bedroom along with removed all the decor from the walls in the rooms they were cleaning. We also didn't have them clean any of the floors as we were having them replaced. When we sat down with the Branch Manager he had no time cards or documents to show us besides the a list like Breakdown were he had copied, verbatim, the insurance estimates for what it would cost to do the whole house. When we asked for him to give us the time cards and actual documents we had to get an attorney involved, which took another 3months for him to receive the time cards and documents, which were incomplete and some were unsigned. We ended up having to settle for 8,100 dollars for an incomplete paint job, the cleaning of 2 chairs, and them cleaning the kitchen, Master bedroom, and bathroom. It took 2yrs to get the agreement and only after they threatened to drag my 2 70yr old Grandparents, one with the onset of Alzhiemers and the other who has a heart issue. Well going into part two of this no nonsense company. Glad to see some people didn't have to deal with what I dealt with on reading some of the reviews. I already wrote one review of the terrible experience with this company canceling at the last minute and left me hanging, now trying to get my $1000.00 deductible back is another story. Today 2/20/19 I emailed the company or should I say the person who wanted to do the job but no one else did, asking for my $1000.00 that I originally told him on 2/4/19 to return to me since they cancelled. I CC's my insurance company which they replied and apologized for my troubles which doesn't help since I still need to find a dependable reliable construction company and get estimates as well as the insurance company approval. Now I am going onto 4 months without a kitchen. I will never trust another contractor again!!!!!! Sparks, NV read more

Our roof failed in a storm. Ceiling poured water from 9 different places. Family room drenched. Our insurance carrier, USAA, had CRBR call us during height of the storm. They came right over and tarped the roof, moved furniture, gutted the room, had a new roof put on, rebuilt the family room, new ceiling, etc. They then came in and cleaned (literally dusted each book in the bookcase). The crew had a 'can do' attitude, and was very pleasant. The room is back the way it was originally, although my wife took the opportunity to change out 3 big windows (not covered by USAA, who was also wonderful with the claim). We can highly recommend CRBR for getting the job done and keeping the customer happy (me). Dick and Judy read more

I will give the workers for this company five stars. The on-site workers are clean-cut, respectful, professional and do a great job. I wish I could say the same about the managerial staff. Calls were not returned in a timely fashion if at all. Messages left were not reliably relayed to the people I requested. They did not communicate well with their on-site workers. On several occasions either the workers were not notified of the schedule. Often I was told that they would be on-job and weren't. Or managerial staff did not contact me to tell me that a workday was on the calendar and workers would show up then without any notification. I also found that managerial staff did not communicate as They said they had with my insurance company. I signed the completion document because the water damage was mitigated, but because of all the management issues, it was a slow process. I chose to handle the repair phase myself rathe than have CRBR do it. read more

I would give a 0 if i could on communication with this company. We had a leak behind the kitchen sink in the wall,in which we got mold from. Crbr came out to do the mild remediation, this took them a month. After that they were hired to do the repairs in the kitchen, they broke granite taking out the counter, replacing sheetrock, reinstalling dishwasher, sink, garbage disposal. I had no problem with the guys doing the repairs. My issue was the time they took, and the complete lack of communication from the project manager, Alan. First of all there were items on the list that were not done,or not necessary, but were put on there going i wouldn't notice so that they could get extra money and not do it, I'm still waiting to get paid back for those... The granite that was installed was noticably not the same thickness, so I asked for it all to be replaced, they had a guy come out and measure, he told me iwould get a call from alan so crbr could start demo and it would ask be done within aweek, my insurance company said they approved it that day. I gave Alan a week,he never called, i called him, left a message ofcourse because why would he ever answer his phone? He calls back and says he is still waiting on approval from the insurance company. I wait another week,i call the insurance to find out they had approved it the day it was sent over, and again the day i spoke to alan. By this time i am just done,i have 3 children, i went a month without a kitchen, i wasn't about to wait another month for them to get it done. I tried to call Alan to tell him to forget it because this is ridiculous,no communication,no sticking to a time frame. He didn't answer, I didn't leave a message, i just figured he forgot about us. Another week goes by, he actually calls. Leaves me a message at 2 in the afternoon, asking if the granite guys can come the next morning at 9am to start demo on my counters. Nice notice huh? I called him back (the first time he actually answered my call) i told him i didn't want it done,we don't know when we want it done, there's no communication with him. I told him the insurance approved it twice, he told me he just got word that it was approved. So how come he had the granite ordered and ready to go if it literally just got approved? Basically, don't go with them, unless you love waiting around, have all the time in the world, and just love liars. In the future, i will be taking my business elsewhere (including with the counter project). read more

Cleanrite-Buildrite was the company that my insurance contracted to fix water damage on my house. They responded quickly to contain the damage and dry out the house. The problems started when they were selected to do the work to rebuild the damaged trim and doors. They would schedule times to work and not show up. This happened more then a few times. The work they did was poorly done and the trim didn't line up. They also retextured the ceiling 2 times before it looked reasonably good. After all was said and done they took months to fix up the rooms that were damaged and the quality of work was barely passable. This work required my wife and I to take a lot of days off of work to be at home for. read more

VERY UNHAPPY WITH CLEAN RIGHT BUILD RIGHT!!! The only thing I was happy about was their response time. Their crew were good workers. Here's why they truly sucked. So I called them explaining that I had a break in and among stealing everything the thief's plugged up my master shower and left the water running. So within multiple hours after my call to CRBR they arrived same day. They tried there best to get to work but I said I need to talk to the boss before you try to charge me 10k. I reminded them this was not an INSURANCE claim but honestly they did not see to care. After I finally approved the job with the quote being between 1-2k they spent maybe an hour pulling up a little more than 500sqft of carpet, removing the padding and removing a little bit of baseboard. Then they put one dehumidifier and 6 fans in the areas affected. They left their equipment for 4 days because it was Christmas weekend. I then tried 4 times to contact the project manager and left 3 messages to please call me back. I was hoping to try and get a discount since it took just an hour and the quote between 1-2k was billed at $25 less of 2k (the max of the quote). Kelly was the project manager and would never return my calls. I live just down the street so I stopped in several times. I finally get a call back but it wasn't from Kelly but from another person because now Kelly is "on vacation" after 3 weeks of trying to reach her. She explained the rate was discounted. A payment plan was reached since this was my only option. I asked for military discount since I am active reserves and they said sorry it was discounted but could not provide me with the complete understandable breakdown. I own 5 different businesses and one of which is flipping homes. So seeing the scope of work they performed I felt like I was in the wrong business. Billing 2k for an hours worth of work (4 workers) is insane. But as a business owner myself I understand money is to be made but come on. I have spoke to other business owners that know the owner of CRBR ad they have said he is not a friendly guy and cares for no one but money. I hope this helps for others that experience damage to their home prior to calling this company. Because of this company I researched the exact model dehumidifier and fans they used and purchased some of my own just to save in the future since I deal with multiple homes. read more

This is a minus star company. I've read all the reviews posted here. The only 5 star ratings are for carpet cleaning! Everything else they allegedly do is done poorly at best and stretched over time. My particular project is still in process -- after 4 months! A faucet leaked like a fountain and sprayed a substantial amount of water in the combo dressing area and bath exposing both carpet and linoleum to water. My insurance company contacted CRBR on my behalf and fans and dehumidifier were set up within a couple of hours and pad and carpet samples were taken to determine value to replace same. On July 5, that equipment was removed and I was told someone would get back to me by Monday. Brian W. and Dave D. arrived Tuesday; they reviewed the situation, took measurements and discussed what would be done. I told them I was interested in an upgrade from the laminate countertop to corian and the I agreed to the price difference. I was asked to sign a contract with them which was 6 weeks maximum to completion. With the contract and my check for the deductible in hand they left. From that point in time, nothing has been done in a timely fashion. I have made all the phone calls that led to any progress. Phone calls I was told to expect never came. I had to push. Some of the work done was so poor that I demanded it be redone. Paint was smeared, shower frame was dislodged, toilet had to be reset. Because I'd made myself one of their nightmares by this point in time, Brian stopped and delayed the remedial work (without phoning to let me know ), and delayed ordering the corian countertop for weeks. I've not kept my irritation a secret and Brian W. knows I am posting reviews. After the first few days, I realized things would not go well so I kept an extremely detailed log which will be provided to my insurance company, crbr, and Contractor Connection (an intermediary of some sort). CRBR has contractor's license(s), so I will probably be sending the same information the licensing board as well. At this point in time, the job is little more than half done. If they were on the ball and knew their stuff, this would have been done 6 weeks ago. Don't use these people. read more

If Yelp had a 0 category, it would get my vote on this one. This company was brought in to do the remediation cleanup because mold was found caused by a leak in the wall behind the refrigerator. Once the mold cleanup was done, our insurance company also assigned them to do the repairs required including replacing the laminate flooring in both the kitchen and the dining room. We made a deal with them (at "no additional cost" even though they charged an additional $1200.00 for floor leveling) to have porcelain tile and grout that we purchased installed by their "experienced" tile installers for the cost of replacing the laminate flooring. I'll make this short. Their "experienced" tile installer didn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. After a completely unacceptable tile installation, Cleanrite-Buildrite brought in a professional tile company and within ten minutes they were told to remove and replace the entire floor in both the kitchen and dining room. Then, when their "experienced" tile installer removed and reinstalled the dishwasher, he damaged both causing more water to run under most of the rest of the kitchen cabinets. Now we had the remediation team back to do the tearing out of all the lower cabinets in the kitchen because they now had mold. THEN one of the remediation team walked outside the kitchen, found a crack in the stucco next to the window over the sink. He proceeded to stick a water hose in the crack and guess what? Water ran into the kitchen. If you had on a ball cap and it was raining your face probably wouldn't get wet, but if I stuck a hose in your face, you'd probably have water all over. Because of that little move, the entire counter had to be removed to see if there was any mold behind that part of the wall. Guess what? No mold. Now our entire kitchen was demolished. The sheetrock replaced, Cleanrite-Buildrite started, after applying texture, painting the affected walls. When they got to the dining room, the paint color they were using was two shades different from what the house was painted. Going back to all the places they painted, they were all off color. I immediately stopped them from doing any more painting. Hang on, it's gets better. All the cabinets in the kitchen were ¾ adjustable shelves. The new cabinets were full, nailed in shelves. There were numerous other problems (26 to be exact) with the cabinets also, but to many to go into. We are now five months into this cluster. Four days later the professional tile guys showed up with no directions how the tile was supposed to be installed or what size the grout lines were to be. Because of the cabinet screw up, the counter installation that was to be done in two weeks now was pushed out to five or six weeks. Because of this and the previously mentioned painting, we took the installation of the counter tops away from them also. Once the counter was installed, I asked Cleanrite-Buildrite if they intended to replace the damaged dishwasher and garbage disposal. No was the reply, they were going to repair the damage and reinstall them. Once again I removed them from the picture and purchased a new dishwasher and garbage disposal to be installed by a qualified plumber at Cleanrite-Buildrite's expense. The job was finally completed seven months after many sleepless nights and more irritation that any two people (my wife and I) should have to experience from a "professional" such as this. I would never recommend this company. read more

Unlike the other review I didn't get a chance to see thier response time. I called them to do basic cleaning to prepare a unit to be rented they said they would call back the next day and I'm still waiting 4months later. I went to t one of there competition and they responded the very next day. Thier store should be called " Cleanrite Buildrite when we feel like it". read more

I have a 1993 tent trailer that got covered in ash inside and out from the last big fire we had. We had CRBR come look at our trailer to see if they would be able to clean it. The person who came assured me they could clean it. So, we set it up and dropped our trailer off. They called a couple weeks later saying it was done and we could come pick it up. When we got there they explained they ripped the canvas on our pop out. Not just a little rip, like 20 inch long tear... there is no patching that. They also broke clips for several curtains and opened the trailer up to high and popped the rail off on one side. I was not happy. We finally agreed that we would leave the trailer and they would fix the issues they caused. They called us a week later and said they were not going to fix our canvas because of the age of the trailer! When they first came to look at the trailer to see if they could clean it, they did not ONCE say this could happen because of the age of the trailer. They said they could offer us $100-200 dollars off the cleaning. I said that was not acceptable and we finally agreed on $400 (it will be at least $1000 for us to replace the canvas). So now I get a phone call asking if I want to pay our $50 deductible or if they should just take it off the $400 I'm sorry CRBR, but this isn't how a company should treat a customer when you are the ones who made the mistake. You should have been up front with us that this could happen due to the age of the trailer! read more

I have a two story condo that was in much need of carpet cleaning. CRBR came out and gave me a estimate with the option of some added bonus and scheduled around my 8-5 schedule. A week later i had them come out to actually do the cleaning and i was impressed. We had some puppy soiling a few months prior and i felt they did as good as they could do without replacing the padding. I suggest asking for in-house estimate and investing in scothguard (added bonus)! read more

Bob let me qualify that it wasn't until Peter took over this week on our project that we feel like we are finally getting the service we should have from the start. Peter has been great and we are grateful that he has taken on our project to see it through. In the future you may want to check the date that reviews were written. Peter wasn't assigned our project until after my last update was written. read more

This place is a joke. Incompetent and unprofessional. After they painted they dumped the paint buckets ON THE FRONT LAWN! What kind of company allows that?! The front lawn has huge splashes of white paint all over, about 6'×4' of dried, hard, white paint, on the front lawn. If someone was home, they might not have done that, idk, but they did. I'm trying to upload the pics. read more

Cleanrite has been cleaning my carpets for several years, and my 8 year old carpet still looks new, thanks to them. They even got out pet stains that I had given up on trying to get out, and with the Scotchgard treatment every other cleaning or so, I haven't had any new stains. I would highly recommend CRBR for any cleaning job, big or small. read more
